Attention to detail, excellent quality of food and room, all the staff is outstanding in customer service, the activities of the hotel, the location, the gardens, the views, the sunrise…..

We didn’t like the service charge added to our meal bill. Ok, they ask ( in front of you) that you don’t have to pay it, but the person is just with you and that makes you feel uncomfortable. It shouldn’t be like this. They should pay attention when having events ( like weddings or similar) that the music in the restaurant is switched off. We were hearing 2 completely different music at the same time ( wedding and restaurant) and that was not nice or relaxing.

Breakfast was phenomenal. Even had an egg benedict. The hotel is gorgeous with beautiful gardens surrounding it with awesome views. We got up for sunrise each day and it was special watching it next to the vines. The staff were super helpful and lovely. This was our favourite accommodation in Madeira.

Everything is just great. The hotel surrounding is beautiful with stunning views, you can watch the sunrise from the balcony or just outside the hotel. Great breakfast with huge choice of food. We had a vila which was very spacious and well equipped, even with an own fireplace :) The staff was super friendly. There is also a walking path that will bring you down to the beach, which is not far, just it is little steep. Definitely recommend for families with kids - they can enjoy the pool area as well as playing room with billiard, table tennis and table football.

The room was comfortable and the view superb. The breakfast was fresh, extensive and delicious, with a particularly delightful array of local fruits. The coffee machine and daily sweet treats in the room were nice, as was the hotel's thoughtful gift for our wedding anniversary. The staff were friendly and helpful.

It would be nice to have an extractor fan switch for the bathroom, to remove smells and steam; the fan and AC use seems to be automated/restricted. For us personally, the hotel rates are on the high side.

The hotel is very nice and well organized. The location is very pretty and easy to drive to, if you take the Faial-Santana Expressway from funchal. The staff is really helpful and very friendly. The breakfast is absolutely wonderful. I was not very impressed with dinner. Is not bad just maybe my dish was bland. Other than that it’s beautiful. The scenery is awesome. We did bot have the chance to go down via the santana cable cart sue to weather but I am sure that will be something not to miss. Excellent service in this hotel.

Basically everything. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind, the breakfast was extensive and delicious, the views were breathtaking, the outside pool was maybe the most beautiful I've ever swam in, and all the other facilities were great. We stayed in the villa and while it does need a little love, was perfect for our needs. Surrounded by greenery, if it offers privacy and more space than the other rooms.

I think the criticisms of the villa are not entirely accurate but they have some truth. The villa is dark, the staircase is very steep and the door between the two Villas is not sound insulated at all. Apart from that nothing. It was all amazing.

Very very minor: Just suggestions to the management for improvement: Install heating rods in bath room to dry wet clothes, Install direct light in front of mirror in bath room, Easier, more straightforward software for channel selection of TV, Small shelves to deposit 2 bags in room

We spent two nights at Quinta do Furão. We booked a premium room and received an upgrade to a spacious suite, which featured living area being separated from the bedroom as well as two balconies with stunning ocean views. We appreciated that the hotel offers a daily activity (like a baking class or yoga) included in the price. We participated in a wine tasting, which was enjoyable. The breakfast buffet was good. We could also choose egg dishes and pancakes & waffles from the menu. We also liked the evening turn-down service including the room cleaning and delicious candies.

- The room showed signs of wear, with marks on the walls and curtains - The spa area is quite outdated - The shower gel dispenser in the bathroom was inconvenient - We were disappointed with dinner at the hotel restaurant. The staff seemed stressed, and the quality and presentation of the food could be improved

I came here to escape the fires on the other side of the island, and although not an ideal situation, I am so happy I found the hotel this way. Everything is gorgeous about it. And, can we talk about the fact they can make anything gluten-free for their breakfast? Waffles... Pancakes... Eggs Benedict. The views are incredible, as is the property. I was able to work from there, without any issues. And, I loved how close I was to so many beautiful hikes. The staff was so kind in finding me a room higher up, and a room to stay in longer. I was very happy and grateful at this property. I will definitely be back here.

The hotel is amazing and the staff incredibly friendly. I would definitely recommend booking a room there. The breakfast is exceptional, the view stunning and the sauna and pool make relaxation super easy. Much needed between our hikes. We also had a Madeira wine tasting which was incredible!

Was not amazed by the restaurant, the food in Madeira generally set the standards pretty high and the restaurant of the hotel did not keep up.
