We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. It’s located in one of the most charming villages, where every evening gifts you with the most breathtaking sunsets – truly some of the best we’ve ever seen. The room was spacious and thoughtfully equipped with everything you might need for a comfortable stay: a kitchen, fridge, and even a small coffee machine, which made it feel very homey. The hotel itself has a lovely atmosphere, with a beautiful pool area, a nice restaurant, and plenty of space to relax. The staff were wonderful – warm, attentive, and always ready to help, which made our experience even more special. We definitely hope to come back here again, not only for the comfort of the hotel but also to relive those unforgettable sunsets.

We stayed almost a full week in this amazing place snd we enjoyed it totally - the property is amazing, clean and with all the facilities that you might need. We had an apartment well equipped to prepare even a light dinner. From there you can easily discover the North-East part of the island. The owners, Maria and Carlos are very friendly, sharing tips over the area and helpful when you need. Casa da Capelinha is like a pearl in the region. We will be back! And the swimming pool is like a dream and the resto too 😄!

Not the case

Beautiful location, nice spacious apartment and comfortable beds. We would absolutely love to come back. Thank you. Just to note: It's a very small and quiet town with limited availability in the area for eating and drinking out so staying here means you need to be self sufficient and I would certainly recommend hiring a car.

It would have been nice to have music playing in an evening when the cafe/restaurant is open. Not a complaint, just a suggestion. 🙂

I would like to thank you for an extraordinary stay and wonderful time at Casa da Capelinha. The owners and staff were very kind and showed us every day that we were "more than welcome". Whole resort area is carefully maintained and clean. At every step you can see that the owners care about the satisfaction of their guests and achive a high standard. I also recommend the restaurant, especially the beef steak "Capelinha". The dishes is homemade. I believe I will visit this place once again in the future. And I wish the resort many happy days and satisfied guests.

This is a hidden gem; a surprisingly enjoyable and simple aparthotel in an excellent location. It is situated literally next to the fantastic natural community pool and the Atlantic Ocean. Stunning views, The hosts couldn't be nicer or more friendly. Very comfortable room with full kitchen. The restaurant was quite good and handy as the village is quite small without many other eateries. They have a beautiful pool but it was closed for repairs when we were there in late October.

Furnishings were simple and could be upgraded. Everything else was nice and its so fun to meet the hosts and share our love of travel and joy of life.

The view was amazing, the apartment was great, the complex was quiet. The kitchen was perfectly equipped with everything needed to cook. The appartment was cleaned every day, garbage was changed.

Ants in the apartment, have ant traps as some food was no longer good. Coffee maker could be updated, the bed in the room is not comfortable and two single beds together for a couple was not good.

A modern, spacious, and well presented apartment in a beautiful location. The gardens and pool areas are beautifully kept too. The apartment was quiet, peaceful, and very comfortable. There is a shop just up the road (easy walking distance) that is open fairly late even on a Sunday which was helpful for getting in food just after I’d arrived. There are a few parking spaces outside, but I ended up parking on the road where there is plenty of space. The view from my apartment (top floor) looked straight out to the sea over the pool area with the dramatic cliffs across to the side. The balcony was big and had chairs and a table to sit out at.

I can’t fault it! An excellent place to stay!

We really enjoyed watching the sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean every morning from our apartment! The place was great with everything we needed for a week long stay in Madeira. Ponta Delgado was a great base camp to make day trips around the island from as it’s centrally located and we never drove more than a few hours a day. The pool at Casa de Capelinha was great and an awesome place to relax after long hikes or excursions. The restaurant here is good and the owners are super friendly and welcoming, highly recommended!

It is a small town in the mountains, on the coast. Apartment was clean and there was a restaurant where they served delicious food for good prices. It has asmall parking lot, swimming pool and perfect family atmosphere.

The staff were very helpful and cheerful. The room fulfilled our needs. The facilities looked great for families that were self catering. A small problem was sorted very quickly .

The location was not ideal for our 1 night stay. That was not the fault of the property. We were well looked after with an evening meal at a reasonable price. There was a good little kitchen for preparation of our own food, but as we were passing through with a one night stay we were seeking breakfast ... but the restaurant did not supply breakfast. The local boulangerie did not appeal. We decided to leave, so we could find breakfast on our journey. This complexity has not affected our rating for property, but it may influence future visits.
