The staff are very nice, hotel is super clean. Katty is so nice my child loves her. What we like about the hotels lie in the small details: they prepared fruit drink for my child, and little aqua natura bear to surprise children. The staff are always helpful whenever we need something. The breakfast is rich in varieties and the restaurant is with super nice view. It really makes our vacation lovely because of the hotel. (We enjoyed the welcome drink a lot after a tiring trip arriving in Madeira) (For future guests: When checking out, it is super nice for the hotel to give us a jar of jam as a gift, however at airport the security had to throw it away because there is no ml, I feel it is a bit of waste maybe it would be nice for the hotel to give at check in so people can pack in their check in luggage.)

It is a very small thing but just flag: the indoor space of the breakfast restaurant is a bit small: when there were showers outdoor, people can’t sit outside, then the indoor space is very crowded and people are constantly waiting for spots. On our last day of stay the breakfast is suddenly switched to another restaurant (maybe because of the weather) , my parents couldn’t find where to eat breakfast and it is super crowded.

Excellent place to stay in Porto Moniz. Location is super convenient, close to the natural pools and with enough parking spaces (either underground at the hotel, or the parking next door). Super helpful and friendly staff, willing to give recommendations for your days in Madeira. Breakfast, even though in a different building close by, was also delicious with multiple savory and sweet options. The room was spacious, with enough equipment to make your own food in the studio if you want. The bed and the pillows we also comfortable and the small terrace of the room gives enough space to relax after your excursions.

We had a fantastic stay in a studio apartment- just enough room for 3 adults because we were out a lot! The kitchenette was well equipped but we are out each night as there are lots of lovely cafes and bars. The staff were fantastic- all very friendly and super helpful. They kindly arranged a sweet celebration for our wedding anniversary. Breakfast is in the neighbouring hotel (3 mins walk) and was fresh and plentiful. You also have access to the spa and rooftop pool of another hotel ans can dine there too if desired. We loved swimming in the volcanic pools (and the studios give a ticket for free entry each day). Well worth a visit - we’d rebook.

There was construction work going on at the sister hotel where we went for breakfast. The noise didn’t bother us but it felt precarious walking under a crane lifting a cement mixer! We realised on our final day that there could have been another safe route through the “Beer Kitchen Restaurant” that would have been much safer but this wasn’t pointed out to us or marked in any way.

This hotel absolutely blew us out of the water. On arrival, the staff member on desk was exceptional! He took time to explain the island to us, showing us where hotspots were located, as well as local restaurants and the sister hotels. The hotel also gives all guests free entry tickets to the saltpools daily, this was a welcome (and unexpected!) added bonus, as it meant we were able to skip the large ques. He then proceeded to offer us a welcome cocktail, which was a local Madeiran wine with fruits and Lemonade. When we arrived in the room, there was a personal welcome message waiting, a bottle of Madeiran sparkling wine and chocolates on the pillows. We made use of the hot tub on the roof and had the place to ourselves (we were able to use the full suite of facilities at the other hotel but as we were only there for 1 evening we didn't bother). The room was well presented, comfortable and extremely clean. When leaving, the hotel provided us with a homemade pot of marmalade, postcard and pen. We were impressed with the hotel from the get go, but the additional personal touches just made it feel so above and beyond!

We ate on the evening at the restaurant which is connected to one of the sister hotels. (Sea view restaurant). The setting was beautiful with views of the sunset over the bay. Unfortunately, this is where the compliments end. The staff were extremely rude, and purposefully rushing tables (a shared view based on discussions 5/6 tables were having with one another on the terrace). Whilst this is not a criticism of the hotel at all, given they are in the same group, it is such a shame that the experience in the restaurant wasn't up to the same standard as the hotel.

The room was like shown on the pictures and the kitchen was well equipped. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. Located just a few steps from the - very touristy - center of the town, including the natural pools. Plenty of restaurants nearby but it is worth going to local restaurants a bit uphill, too.

We did not think it was worth going to the other partner hotels in town to use their swimming pools and “spa” facilities. At time, a lot of traffic and noise right in front of the hotel, which is kind of expected considering the central location.

We really enjoyed our stay at Studios by Aqua Natura Hotels. The experience felt very welcoming – we received some lovely extras like a bottle of bubbles and free tickets to the natural pools, which was a really nice surprise. Free parking was also a big plus and made things very convenient. The studio was clean and comfortable, and overall the stay offered great value.

The only minor downside was that the view from the balcony wasn’t particularly special – not much to look at. But considering everything else, it didn’t really take away from the overall experience.

Great Rooftop Bar for Dinner, Snacks,… And it‘s absolutely great to enjoy your Breakfast with the amazing view over the ocean. The Lady who took care of us during breakfast was extremely friendly and over the top! Our room with the outstanding comfortable bed and pillows, the big bathroom and the nice tiny kitchen aid was amazing too!!! A small balcony for the Night Cup… And at the Rooftop of our house we could chill and enjoy the 38 degrees warm Jacuzzi…. With the view over Porto Moniz and the Atlantic Ocean. We never met someone of the stuff, who hasn’t been absolutely friendly and helpful with a nice sense for humor. We can recommend the whole package: Porto Moniz and the Studios of the Aqua Natura Hotels! 🔆

Very well located in the center of Porto Moniz, the room of the studio was very big and the kitchen area has the minimum equipment (a pan, two saucepans, some sharp knifes, a cutting board etc..). On the third floor (rooftop), you have a jacuzzi and some sunbeds to chill / relax. We had an issue with the room (two single beds instead of one double bed) and the personnel tried their best to find a solution. Free parking and free entrance to the natural pools as well and access to all the amenities of the two other hotels located in the city (spas, swimming pools etc…)

We would have loved some salt/peper/ oil for the kitchen area. For the breakfast, you need to go to a different spot but it is very close to the hotel.

The hotel, the room and the equipment are great. We got a welcome drink, and had a lovely talk with the recepcionist. They offer free clear water, so you don't have to buy bottled water. They have a big parking spot, but the road a little steep, need to used to it. The breakfast first looks small, but it has everything, fresh and delicious and the view is awesome.

We tried the hotel restaurant, on a busy day, but the service was below average. The drinks and the food was good, but we had to wait a really long time for the waitress, who was cold as ice... If the restaurant service had been better, we would have been very satisfied with our time there, because there are no more great restaurants in Porto Moniz.

Our Studio was very well equipped, with kitchen kit, 2 plate hob top and a fridge. Shower was marvellous. The balcony was nice and big, but with no nice view due to the buildings in front. Breakfast was very good, with lovely views of the sea and pools from the balcony and outdoor tables.

My only gripe was the bed. It was just too hard and stirred up my back and hip pain. The Municipal Pools were closed all the time due to the high seas from the week before. We swam in the Old Pools but we we in re disappointed by the seas.
