Fantastic location facing the sea with a private balcony to watch the sunset. The pool was a delight after hiking all day and although it's not heated, it was clean and refreshing. The beds are the most comfortable we've ever had! Our room was quiet and there was zero noise from anywhere in the hotel. The aircon was a bonus too. Delicious breakfast! Fruits, pastries, cooked meals if required and a fantastic selection of fruit juices, tea and coffee to help yourself to. Exceptional food throughout our stay - from both the evening buffet meal (we paid extra for) and the 'snack' bar (which was excellent too, just better for us as we didn't need three courses). Incredibly helpful and friendly staff who always wanted to please!

The room service was the only slight disappointment - ours wasn't hoovered daily which was noticeable, but bearable. We would have expected this from a four star hotel but it was clearly missed and having been hiking all day, we always arrived with some dust on our boots/trainers. However, it did not detract from our stay, this is just a small point the hotel needs to be aware of. The 'mini bar' was a fridge with nothing in it, but this was fine too as we could keep our own drinks and snacks cool. We would most definitely come back here, it is an outstanding hotel!

Due to problems with the landing, we arrived at the hotel one day later. Communication about the delay was good. We received a certain discount on the first night for our late arrival and a snack when we arrived at the hotel. The rooms have ocean views, are air-conditioned and are located in the quiet southern part of Madeira. Although the hotel is on a hill, it is a very good starting point for exploring the hotel.

Beautiful large room, very clean and wonderful view over outside pool area, then valley and then ocean - very serene. The buffet breakfast was great with a very nice selection and the dinner buffet was better than most dinner buffets with numerous options. I found most items quite delicious. Great place to relax.

You definitely need a car here or you will have to taxi to town. However, the room price was very good so that balances out just fine.

Best thing was the quiet and beautiful location with great views and easy parking. Our room was very large, with a sunny balcony, fridge etc. it was nice to have access to indoor and outdoor pool, and we also used the sauna, but you needed to prebook and it wasn’t as hot as we hoped. Overall we had a lovely stay. We weren’t very impressed by the buffet dinner option, but the breakfast included with the room price was excellent. Would recommend this hotel for sure.

Great hotel for reasonable price. The room was clean, spacious, with a beautiful view. Beds were comfortable and for breakfast many options. I liked the peaceful location in the middle of the island, a great starting point for daily trips by car. Riviera Brava has a nice beach and a few restaurant options. Fully recommend!

Amenities were excellent. Staff were great, breakfast was very good. Large clean room, nice shower, once we worked out how to use the shower taps. Great view, nice pool.

Hotel is 5kms out of town in a rural hilly area. Poorly serviced by buses, taxi needed for each trip away. To far to walk. They really need some kind of shuttle into town.

I loved the quality for the price. Very confortable and clean. Breakfast food was amazing. Pool was definitely the best thing on sunny days i recommend. Cool games room.

Jacuzzi water could be warmer. You have to pass through the restaurant when you leave the spa which can be uncomfortable when you wear the bath robe.

The view from the room was amazing and the room itself spacious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is great, easy to get to although there is a bit of uphill drive. If you have a car it's a great base for your travels

Good variety of food for breakfast, amazing location and view from the room. We were able to see the sunset from our balcony multiple days. Staff and especially the cleaning staff are incredibly helpful.

The staff were absolutely amazing and the breakfast is excellent! The rooms are very clean and we had an amazing sea view in our room. I definitely recommend staying at this hotel if you are planning to be in Madeira.
