Very clean modern hotel on the outskirts of Tavira. Short walk into town ( but on a busy road). Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast.

Great staff, very welcoming and helpful, eager to please and very attentive, they make all the difference to this place and your stay. Good breakfast. Pool towels provided at no extra cost. Good size swimming pool. Hotel lend us a parasol to take to the beach for the day (no extra charge). Nice comfy bed.

There’s no proper foot path when heading into Tavira centre if you want to walk. Main road behind the hotel can get busy and a little noisy, not ideal if you’re there to relax.

The rooms are very clean and airy and the breakfast is very good. The staff are so polite and helpful. The pool area is perfect for a swim and relax. There is also a really great restaurant located on site ( O Tacho). If you are driving, there is a secure car park at the back of the hotel with electronic gates which you can only access using your room card and if you are a cyclist there is an outbuilding to securely store your bicycle.

-Super friendly staff - private parking through the gate using hotel key card -comfortable bed -clean facilities Could be better: - Breakfast: cakes were not great, the fruit juice was disgustingly sweet. Otherwise okay. - location not ideal for walking to town, you have to cross the highway and climb over the highway fence (the little siding for cars). The staff told us where to cross safely. To the supermarket you'll need a car for sure, as there is no safe passage although it is omly 5min away on foot.

The hotel is along the national road but located closely to Tavira. Walking is dangerous because it is situated along the national road N125. However it is a very pleasant hotel, very clean with a professional helpful staff. Breakfast is AWESOME! The don't have a bar for drinks but there are machines located in the hotel and the pool where you can buy refreshments and/or beer. Nespresso coffee machine on the room and cups are available at the reception. The pool is located behind the hotel in a nice garden. Free parking available. Next door is a very nice restaurant with traditional Portuguese food.

What did we like? Everything!!!! From the initial impression, the grounds, private parking, being DOG FRIENDLY, and beautiful decor to the warm and welcoming staff. Including the most helpful Joao, who was so kind and considerate. He went out of his way to make our stay memorable. Mario who was beyond friendly and always had a smile on his face, as well as Afrodita and ZIna. If I ever have a chance to return to Tavira, I would definitely stay at Hotel Don Rodrigues.

There was nothing that we didn't like, except having to leave.

We really enjoyed the overall experience and Luis was wonderful when we checked in. The room was clean and had a comfortable bed with a balcony which was nice to be able to sit out in the morning and evening. The acceptance of our dog was great and she had ample space to walk in the grounds area.

Not so much that I didn't like as much as think could be improved on, while there was a coffee machine you had to pay 1 euro for each pod which I thought was very odd. Also, the coffee machine in the reception area was only included through the breakfast time and the fruit machine was switched off very promptly at the end of service. The room had everything we needed but was on the small side especially with two adults and a small dog. The breakfast was okay with a great selection of pastries but I felt the hot was extremely limited.

A lovely stay here - secure parking, on site restaurant and helpful staff. The pool was open and was pleasant to relax there in May. From a driving perspective, location is good - not right in the middle of an old town so easy to find and great for departing.

The hotel suggests you can walk to Tavira - well, yes, in theory. But the road outside the hotel is the busy ring road and has no footpath - we chickened out and took the car to Tavira (the hotel receptionist gave us guidance where to park).

Everything and everyone!! Lovely accommodating, friendly staff😍 from Luis, (share insights fir goid shopping), Mario changed us to a bigger nicer room and always with a smile, Joan so professional and knowledgeable in the arts of hospitality treated us fantastic and went the extra-mile to make us feel at home. Can not thank them enough!! The whole staff deserve ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ and definitely a raise😁
