Spotlessly clean, the staff worked tirelessly to service rooms and the pools were tested and checked daily. All the staff were friendly and approachable. Breakfast was the usual extensive option you would expect, lots of freshly prepared fruit, juices, yoghurt continental and a version of a cooked breakfast. They also had a chef on hand to make fresh eggs, omelettes or pancakes every morning. The beds were comfortable and the rooms well provided for -we asked for a kettle and a tray came specially wrapped for the room.

There were rugs placed either side of the bed for comfort but on a well polished tiled floor these were extremely slippery and we had to fold them away

The open layout of the hotel - with rooms in rows of 'cottages' on the estate, set in gardens filled with bougainvillea - is very attractive, giving it a fresh and peaceful resort ambience. The ferries directly to Ilha de Tavira and Terra Estreita beaches from just outside the hotel were very convenient. The spa facilities looked impressive, and we were sorry we didn't have time to try them.

The breakfast experience was rather noisy and hectic, although this was during the high season. The bar / lounge space could do with an upgrade / revamp to make it more attractive and comfortable, and perhaps a separate 'adults only' area.

Great hotel, very well suited for the family holidays with kids. There are a lot of organized activities throughout the day and in the evening to keep you entertained. The swimming pool is nice and clean. The hotel also provided separate set of towels for the pool/spa. The hotel also has spa with saunas, indoor pool, and jacuzzi. We did not use those as it was extremely hot outside. There is also a gym, which has all basic gym set-up equipment. Machines are in a good condition. The rooms are nice and small, with a large bathroom, and a small outdoor area with the table and chairs. We were lucky and got the room with the outdoor area facing the ocean. The rooms have ac, small fridge, and a tv. The breakfast was included. It is a buffet with an assortment of sweet and salty stuff, all was tasty. The hotel also offers lunch and dinner buffet for a separate price. But the restaurant also offers dinner a la carte, which we took and the food was great. The hotel also has organized boats that can take you to Tavira island (right in front of the hotel). The ticket is around 3.60 per person, round trip and it’s flexible throughout the day. The island had lot of facilities and affordable prices, we spent the whole day there.

The hotel is in a remote area, there is nothing around, so you need a car to get there. But it’s neither pro nor con, just to consider when booking. The city of Tavira is less than 10 min drive away. If you need something there is also a big shopping mall in 5 min drive. Nothing to complain about :)

Excellent breakfast, very nice staff and service, very nice pool. Nice SPA and very quiet surroundings. Its located near Ria Formosa a natural park, nice place to take Long walks (sand like) for exercise and relax. The hotel has also a museum, a chapel and an exclusive boat transfer service to the beach and town. nice options.

Some less good points of the stay were the presence of mosquitos at night. And especially for those staying in rooms close to the entertainment area, the noise of music and entertainers can also be a problem if you want to rest early. The accesses to the beaches around the hotel are heavily polluted with garbage, such as bottles, cans and plastics.... While the hotel may not be responsible for this pollution, it would be beneficial a regular clean. If I can add a suggestion, please add walkways to improve accessibility to beach.

The resort style of this property is perfect for families looking for hassle free vacation or quoth kids. The kids pool is great which together with daily kids activities make this a perfect choice. The hotel has a dedicated pier that takes you to the beach . You should consider having a all inclusive rate , as currently lunch is not available. A bar is open with good options, by buffet lunch with be better.

Only two things. Our stay had some hot days which attached a lot os bees. The hotel has very nice gardens but the floater species must be changed. Some days there were a lot of bees close To the kids pool. The second point was the fact that we had to ask 4 times to get a third towel ( since we were three) which is a vir annoying for a 4* hotel. Besides everything was great .

The property is very well maintained, specially the external areas. It is very close to the beach by boat and the personal is very nice.

Access by car ia a bit tricky, there is a long way of very rudimentary roads… rooms are a bit outdated, and the restaurant needs some improvement… Menu for dinner was exactly the same on tboth days we ate there and the breakfast is very disorganized despite the fact you see the staff trying their best. Even trying to get an empty glass is a challenge!

This is a 4 stars hotel but the staff deserves at least 6 stars. Thank you all for your kind attention and care. Excellent place with excellent staff. Clean, nice food and cosy rooms. Good relation price/quality. Loved the spa and pool area and the attention towards the children.

Single glassed windows are not appropriated in such a nice place. Double glassed should be a minimum of confort and would save a lot of energy both in winter and summer. I did not like the lack of NATURAL juicesin the breakfast buffet. We are in Algarve sorrounded by orange trees but in the buffet we only get industrial fruits nectar, not even juice. This is a very poor and unhealthy option.

The facilities and decor was lovely. The location was wonderful and the staff very friendly and welcoming. Loved the boat to the island- it would be good to have an option to take this to the town too. Also the option to get a water taxi to and from the hotel.

It was a little far away form the town. It would have been good to have more information on the amazing location and history as well as more detail on the location. An adult only bar would have been good.

Excellent hotel, beautiful location, immersed in green, gorgeous pool, wonderful breakfast (my son loved the ham and cheese omelet and kept ordering it day after day). Spacious rooms with a small patio, very quiet, cleaned daily. Free parking provided. Good wifi signal. There is a small church and a tuna museum in the compound, The indoor pool is small but lovely and warm. There was animation for kids and adults but we did not participate. The hotel is an excellent value for money.

There was nothing to dislike. We would go back happily!

Albacora across from Tavira island was such a relaxing spot, the spacious pool area with big warmish pool, then the location with beautiful estuary on your doorstep and quick boat trip over to a stunning wide beach with beach bars and lidos. Very clean and well equipped room, excellent breakfast and friendly helpful staff. We wish we had stayed longer, truly! The town of Tavira is so lovely too. We were sad to go.
