paying for parking? really not good at the price a car should be included- VERY disappointed at this charge. And then to say there is a charge for room safe? are you kidding me? 150e plus a night and want to charge to use a room safe?? nuts! it’s security it’s not a nice to have. if something stolen as it’s not in safe think of damage to hotel reputation and the hassle and time dealing with incident. I find it completely incredulous this charge is being expected. not acceptable. no mention of parking charge or room safe charge on booking.com website info.

Very nice hotel in the heart of Tavira. The breakfast was very good altough very busy and few days you needed to queue to get a table from the restaurant. Pool was great and the pool bar offered very nice lunch (salads, sandwiches etc.) Drinks were reasonably priced. We had a poolside room and that was excellent as the room has straight access to poolside. The hotel is ideally located, the boats to Ilha de Tavira beach leave very close from the hotel and it is an easy walk to the restaurants and shops.

The pool bar could have been better organised, the queue to the poolbar was sometimes very long and it seemed that the staff wasn't well organised (there was enough staff but the prosesses to get orders and drinks took too much time).

Room was lovely overlooking the pool. Very good breakfast, lovely staff. Location was perfect. we walked everywhere, went to Islas on the ferry, walked the town and really enjoyed the History and everyone was so helpful.

A small thing but when we looked at the book in reception advising what to do and see it was only in Portugese. A colour map would have been helpful with some information in English. I always try to speak a little of a local language but I'm not at all fluent. The history of the area I found in visiting was in English but I feel a little more information in the hotel would be a help.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, and the quiet room was located such that we had direct access to the pool. The room was large though the closet could have more space for clothes. The pool itself was large enough and nice. There was also a smaller pool for children which is appreciated. We also enjoyed the live music session, specially the local folk dance group!

The coffee at breakfast was terrible. Not just lower standards than the average Portuguese coffee, but worst than in most of Europe. It was very likely instant coffee. And generally the food was plentiful but only sort of ok in terms of quality. The evening buffet was overpriced for the quality on offer. One of the mattresses was uneven.

Beautiful hotel with excellent facilities. Well located for the centre of Tavira and ferries to the beach. Breakfast excellent and poolside snacks good value for money. Loved the entertainment team and the aqua aerobics in the pool.

Experience of checking in was not great. The Receptionist was not very friendly and not understanding or helpful when our room booking was wrong. As a group of 6 women we had a confirmed reservation of 3 twin rooms. However on arrival one of the rooms was a double and the Receptionist was neither helpful or apologetic in trying to solve the situation. The problem was solved the next day, but was not the best welcome or first impression.

Location - Hotel is ideally located in the centre + close to the beach ferry terminus (ferries are ca$h only) Breakfast - Excellent breakfast options + although the room is very busy it was very well organized each morning. - Hot omelet / egg counter was excellent. Room - Bedroom AC was required and worked well. - Roomed cleaned daily. - Good fridge in place. Poolside - Pool area well was maintained and sunbeds plentiful. - Pool side bar food was very good quality + decent prices. - There was poolside entertainment some days + the staff seemed very enthusiastic.

Reception - Reception is vast + the desk itself is very poorly laid out divided by a large wooden plinth. - Reception staff weren’t welcoming + appeared to hide behind this plinth or computer screen. - This is the first impression after traveling and not an ideal start when you might be on the road 7 hours as in our case. - This was brought up with the manager and perfectly acknowledged during the stay. Improvement - Suggest an information desk is put in place to remove guests from the check-in queues with general queries.

The breakfast was great. The hotel staff was very accommodating. They tried to help me recover lost US money I left in the safe a Vila Gale Porto. We enjoyed the pool early in the morning. It got very crowded later in the day. Maybe set up lap time at 8am? The bar staff was great and provided me with extra ice :) The room was great, loved the balcony. It was always cleaned (every day). The workout room was good. We will be coming back!!!!

The pool got a little too crowded and busy. The best time to go is when it opens.

Easy walking distance to the town and very close to the beach ferry. Good size very comfortable room. Very good choices for breakfast . Nice clean pool area with plenty of sun beds and activities if you wanted them . Good snack and drink menu at reasonable prices .

The indoor spa could do with a little updating. The jacuzzi didn’t work properly and only a Turkish steam room. Massages a little over priced. luckily as the weather was we didn’t need to use these facilities.

The location was great and we had an upgraded room for no charge. We asked for a kettle, and within a few minutes, the staff sent one up with some fruit. The balcony was great as it overlooked the pool. Mostly British people were here and they were not friendly.... we are Canadians. The breakfast, as everyone has reported, was great...Staff were great, and no dislikes at all. Not the least expensive place to stay, but well worth the experience, as we stayed for 5 nights.

The property was in an ideal location and extremely clean and comfortable, The pool was lovely and there were always loungers available. Generally the staff were friendly and helpful.. when several of our group became ill they were very kind and attentive and did everything possible to make us comfortable ..

We didn’t particularly like the breakfast room and we believe it would have benefited from some outside seating with parasols to brighten it up. Although the poolside bar was very nice and the pool food satisfactory.. sometimes the staff were stressed out and we were left waiting on several occasions for service and food.
