Friendly, welcoming staff. The room was big, clean and comfortable (except for the passage to the bathroom). Good location away from the busy areas but still at a walking distance from Porto's center and with access to several buses, metro and train. Nice terraces with a view to the city!

The room (upper floor) can get pretty warm during summer days so the air-conditioning might need to stay on while sleeping. But it worked really well and cooled down fast so not a big problem! The room and bathroom were spacious but the access to the bathroom was quite narrow due to the position of its door.

Location was outstanding. João was warm and welcoming. The value for money could not be beat. In addition to those highlights, it was spotlessly clean, the multi-level roof terraces were comfortable and intimate with a great view of the city, and breakfast was nice with tea, espresso, coffee, juice, deli meat, cheese, buns, jams, and spreads. Check in and check out were easy, we liked that we could leave our bags before check-in, and the complimentary glass of port on arrival was a nice touch.

There are 2 shared bathrooms which sometimes lead to queues. The shower and toilet space are somewhat small. These are nitpicky details, though, and overall, the bathrooms were clean and we had not issues using them during our stay.

I would like to emphasize the absolute and crazy price/value ratio. The room was cute, everything we needed - our balcony had a good view. It is located in a quiet part of the town, but still very close to the touristic town where you can taste the wine and have dinner, maybe watch a sunset. Also very close to the General Torres station, where the metro and trains stop. Also the staff is so welcoming, they stored our bags and told us everything we needed to know. Will definitely come again someday!

Although the neighbourhood was quiet, it was a little bit scary at night - but nothing that should change your mind about this hostel. Also, the breakfast wasnt that huge as opposed to the other hotels we stayed at - but we ate good and were full the whole day.

The location is great, you can walk across to the old town in a few minutes or you can walk to the General Torres metro stop less than 10 mins away that will bring you to the centre. There’s also a park nearby where the views are fantastic from this side of the river. The rooftop terrace is lovely with great views also. The property itself and the room were exceptionally clean with cleaning provided daily. While the room wasn’t the biggest it was comfortable and the walk in shower was very nice.

Not much, the room was a little bit stuffy/warm for some reason but it wasn’t a big problem.

The room was nice and clean, bed was comfortable, perfect for 2. There was balcony attached to our room, but we had to share it with others guests. Due to the weather we didn't need to use it fortunately. Before coming we asked for the heater, because I had read in comments on booking that it could be cold in winter. We got what we asked for - a small electric heater, and it was enough. The staff was really helpful, they cleaned our room every day. There is a kitchen for everyone and common space on the ground floor, but we didn't use it.

The only thing that bothered me was cleanliness of the shared bathroom. There were two showers, but only one worked, and even this one was ugly and dirty. Except that the peeling paint on the walls, poor light, a cockroach over the sink that I met while brushing my teeth (luckily, It escaped quickly).

Clean, modern accommodation just up the hill from the river. It's on the Gaia side, but you can easily catch a river taxi over to the Porto side, or metro or an Uber. It's just a short walk up the hill ... maybe 5 minutes. I was in a double room on the first floor, with a shared bathroom. Bathroom was always clean and I never had to wait to use it. Breakfast available each morning for a small charge. I would stay here again if I ever return to Porto.

Great location near all the port houses, and just nip across the bridge to the historic centre. Staff very friendly and offer good advice on places to eat and we took advantage of 50%discount on port tour and walking tour which they booked for us. Lovely breakfast and potential to use kitchen to cook if needed. Room very clean and comfortable with hot shower and toiletries. Nice to be able to use the gardens/terraces to sit outside. Good breakfast cereal, bread, ham, cheese, yoghurt and fruit.

Parking was sparse outside the property, although the recommended multi-storey car park up the road (between 5-10 mins walk as up hill) was reasonable 6 euros for 24 hours. Very noisy as we had a room at the front, but once we shut the window and put aircon on was OK. Room small especially bathroom as you had to dance around the door to get in. Check in very late although opportunity to leave luggage at reception.

What makes this place special is how the owner is passionet about hosting travellers. We had a very nice talk with him over breakfast. I wish we had stayed there more than one night, it was so nice. He also gave us tips on where to travel to.

I filtered the hotels by ''parking available'' before booking, because we had a rental car. When we arrived, we found out that the parking was in the street. There was space available in the street, but traffic in Portugal is quite crazy and we had a rental car. At the end, our car had a little scratch, and this costed us €60 in the rental company.

The room was small but comfy. Everything was super clean and the bed was really nice to sleep on. Decent bathroom and the stuff was nice and helpful. Location is pretty great, you just walk 10 minutes and you're on the big bridge all ready. It was also quiet and peaceful. I totally recommend staying here

Everything was okay

Clean and cosy hostel situated 10 minutes walking distance away from the Ponte Luis I and Jardim dos Mouros, so Porto itself is easy to reach on foot. WOW museum practically around the corner. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Never used a roof terrace, but will do next time for sure.
