Fantastic host — warm, communicative, and incredibly thoughtful. The Airbnb was everything we hoped for and more: clean, comfortable, stylish, and perfectly located for exploring the city on foot. The space had a lot of charm and character, with all the essentials (and then some) thoughtfully provided. We especially appreciated the little local touches and how easy everything from check-in to check-out went. It really felt like a home away from home, and we’d absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend for anyone visiting!

property location and value for money. Just a few minutes walk from the tram stop to go into Porto. On the edge of the seafood restaurant area. Although no parking at the hotel there is a car park a couple of minutes walk away. Can be booked on line, although not cheap.

The hotel had a group tradesmen who apparently stay during the week and have zero respect for other residents. Be aware that if you have an early flight the car park is securely locked and closed overnight and does not reopen till 6am. However there is a telephone to number to get your car out earlier than 6.

The hotel is very close to metro stops and in a very quiet area of the town. The breakfast buffet was good. The room was clean and had everything I expected.

On both nights we stayed there it was very difficult to get ahold of the reception staff at night. They were just gone. The bar was also never manned so when we had some problems at night, it took some time to resolve just because we had to wait for someone to show up. That was at nine and ten o'clock respectively, so not very late.

Good location at far end of the town, right next to the tram tracks, small balcony on level one means you can sit out and catch some sunset in the afternoon. Breakfast is ok, but reception staff are too busy to be able open up and run the bar as well . Carpark discount voucher available from reception, but not free private parking space.

Room only had a shower, not a bath, very noisy seagulls echo around courtyard at back of the hotel, so had to sleep with window closed and air conditioning on instead.

I love the spirit of an old-fashioned well-renovated building. 40's hotel with elegant architecture, aircondition, no humidity, no smell. Very classy. Extremly nice stuff, smiling, open to help you. Enough space in lobby and a breakfast hall (and breakfast is rich!). Very easy to acces with Metro do Porto. And I love neigbourhood of Mathosinos. I was in this hotel for the second time and I 'd choose it again :)

No complainng at all. Everything can be pre-solved or solved with kind help of stuff. Common room is cosy, but small. But you can order a bigger/better one and those are spacious nad cosy! We had problem with air-condition in first days. But then we got another room where everything was just perfect!

Reasonably priced, clean and central in Matosinhos, near great seafood restaurants. 5 minutes from the beach. Also near 5 mins from the fish market, inc two very good restaurants. Plenty of communal areas in the hotel and a small library/play area. Great flowing staircase.

The room was a little small but fine as a base. The only critism is that there weren't enough selectricity sockets. i.e there was only one to share between fridge, desk light and kettle. A small extension lead would have been very worthwhile.

The location was truly perfect. 10 min from the beach. 20 min to Porto with Bus 500 (one way Ticket 2€) So many nice Cafés and Restaurants nearby. The personal was nice and the breakfast had enough to not feel hungry for a couple of hours. I fell in love with Matosinhos, so whenever I come back I’ll definitely try to get a room in this Hotel again.

The architecture and decor is amazing! Very “The Shining” meets art deco in the best possible way. The parquet wood floors and the spiral staircase are especially charming. The rooms are fine - clean and well-equipped. Our two-twin room was small but worked out just fine for two who are comfortable dancing around one another just a bit. The beds themselves actually had some individual privacy in our room. The bathroom was huge, and the shower was great. The room was quiet, but the morning did bring a serenade from what sounded like a million angry seagulls - nothing to do with the hotel, just seaside things. Breakfast featured plenty of options, including some hot. The location is great - on the Main Street in Matosinhos and near the Mercado, accessible to both Porto and the Camino. Staff was all pleasant and helpful.

The carpet in the lobby area is a bit dingy and stained. I don’t really care, but it’s one low point in an otherwise pretty well-curated property.

Tram stop (direct into Porto) only 40 m from the hotel (get the "andante" card from the machine). Just remember to start your trip by "cancelling" the card on the separate machine BEFORE entering the tram!). Close to the sea front. Uber is cheap to/from the airport. Friendly staff.

Uninspiring location.

It an old and beautiful hotel. The room was very simple, but had everything you may need. The hotel vibe, with its old beautiful wooden stairs is wonderful.

The hotel is located on the street with the tram line, and the room was facing the street. It was too loud to sleep due to the tram going until 2 am in the morning, and starting as early as 6 am.
