The checkin and over night staff were great. My group was quite large and they accomodayed us as best as possible. The lobby area was very modern and smelled wonderful. Bonus for giving free drinks next door at the Clevelander. Location was perfect.

I stayed twice during this vacation. My room smelled a bit musty on the second stay although it seemed quite clean and refurbished.

I loved that we were close to the beach and to the ocean drive! We get an amazing room ! We had free coffee in the room at the espresso machine, but also free breakfast at the restaurant “bacon bitch”( coffee and a croissant with butter and fruit jam. We loved our stay at Essex house ! Thank you!

No restock the room coffee and the water. We asked for room service and the service wasn’t available after waiting for a response 1 hour . they were cleaning the room, changing the bed, but they didn’t clean the floor, not even once

Bosay(sp?) Is ALWAYS PLEASANT, PROFESSIONAL AND ACCOMMODATING when we stay at Essex. We have been staying here for years and will always choose this hotel when traveling to South beach. I love the smell of the lobby (they should put that scent in the rooms) . I love that the suite rooms have jacuzzi tubs for relaxation.

I DO NOT LIKE THAT THE FRONT ENTRANCE AREA HAS BEEN REDUCED TO ACCOMODATE THE ADJOINING RESTAURANT-Bacon Bish. I also wish that you did not have to walk so far to use the resort fee amenities like bike rentals.

Art Deco vibe, room was completely refurbished. we liked the privacy of the suite areas. simple furnishings but clean and spacious.

We were there unexpectedly during Spring break for a 50th birthday weekend. This hotel is located in the central area of South Beach, which during other times of the year we are sure makes it a good thing. However, if you read the news you know that Miami is troubled that time of year. We were right in the middle of the scary bedlam shootings and chaos. once in the hotel we felt very safe in our suite area, but getting on there at night was terrifying.

We are ALWAYS greeted with a smile by front desk person BoSay (sp??). We have stayed at essex for 7 years consecutively, and he is always welcoming, professional,l and alert.

I do not like that Bacon bitch has taken space on the front which eliminated the seating which we enjoyed in previous years.

Very nice building, very beautiful. The staff was wonderful. Had a great time.

The few light bulbs out in the room in the TV didn't work well first I had to call the front desk End, they took care of it. Apot, from that, everything was great.

Had access to the beach club and sports bar to watch the game. Very fun and safe. Security at the beach club made me feel so comfortable. Will definitely stay here again.

The hotel is not new. I am OK with that. It was clean even if it was a little older.

Everything is within walking distance. It's in the heart of The Art Deco District, a block over from the beach, a CVS, restaurants and blocks away (walking or quick Uber) to other areas of South Beach. I prefer quieter spaces and you can still find some within the hustle and bustle of S. Beach. I enjoyed reading on the rooftop, watching the world go by.

It’s a very old hotel historic, it was very clean the staff was super friendly and kind. I was super close to all my activities and I had access to the Clevelander I would definitely stay here again

Because the hotel is so old so are the pipes my toilet kept getting stopped up, my tube and sink were stopped up as well

Location was good. Room was very spacious, liked the breakfast set up and also the beach chair setup

Sadly it was Spring Break ! very loud with lots of people congregating outside of the hotel
