The pool is incredible and perfect for small children. The lifeguards are making sure everyone is safe. The food at the pool was very good and the rooms are clean and spacious. This hotel has a Beautiful walkway between the hotel and the parks and it was a pleasure to walk every morning it is less than 7 minutes to the parks. They also have a water Taxi where Rob is the most kind and entertaining person in the whole place!!!

Staff overall were very nice but the people at security points were extremely rude. I mean they are doing their work but when asked a question they were very rude. The pool kitchen and bar got extremely busy on a hot day and that made things very hard as I think they don’t have enough staff. A burger took over an hour and drinks more than 30 minutes. Other than that is is a great hotel.

The staff were great and welcoming. Location is so good. Only a 5 mins walk to city walk and the parks. The rooms were spacious and we all had a great night's sleep. We got upgraded to a pool view from a standard room as I said it was our anniversary and we were celebrating a birthday. The birthday girl also got a free dessert from one of the restaurants. Another bonus was the universal unlimited express passes you get with staying at the hotel. Would highly recommend staying here for a few nights just to get the unlimited express passes.

We wanted to try the breakfast buffet at the kitchen restaurant but we thought it was a little pricey especially for our 6 year old who is quite a fussy eater, but I suppose that's what you pay at a top hotel

Location is unmatched when visiting Universal Resorts as it is an easy (if sweaty) walk to the park entrances - closest of the premium hotels. Fast pass for all the family meant that for us, as a family of 4, it was great value. We ate in the pool bar and 'kitchen' and had great meals every time, so full marks to the team for that. Check in and out were simple and painless. Pool area is great and the kids (16 and 13) loved the overall atmosphere.

The hotel is in dire need of a refurb as the rooms and some public areas were a bit tatty. The men's toilets by the pool always had 1 broken urinal for instance. Food and drink in the hotel is very pricey, even in the shop, however if you have budgeted for this then it shouldn't be a problem. Concierge was not the most helpful to be honest, but Google is easy to find whatever you need these days!

Great hotel 5 mins walk from Universal Stuidios. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Good vibe. Comfortable beds. Nice gym and pool. We ate a couple of times at Kitchen, the on-site restaurant and it was very good and not too expensive. My kids absolutely loved it. And the Universal Stuidios Fast Pass was an added bonius. Highly recommended.

Lots of disposable items eg takeaway coffee cups in rooms. I can understandthe need for plastic in the pool area but i think the sustainability of the hotel could be improved. One easy improvement would be real cups in rooms and more water fountains for people to fill up their water. Other hotels I've stayed at offer a discount priced refillable water bottle in the rooms. This is also another pretty easy improvement that wouldn't cost very much to implement

We nearly always choose the hard rock hotel if it’s available. The location is unbeatable and we love the overall vibe of the hotel.At the last min we had to take our dogs, since our sitter became unavailable. The hotel was kind enough to allow our three small dogs instead of 2. We were very happy that they were so nice

The pet room was pretty worn out and smelly. They offered to try to get rid of the smell, but I think it’s just a byproduct of being a pet room. The carpet had some stains and the bed frame was coming apart from the bed. We also rented a cabana one day of our stay and the cushions in the cabana were very stained and dirty. The staff was apologetic but said they were all the same in every cabana. This was very upsetting, as we have never experienced this before. The hotel needs some refurbishment.

Our family had an amazing time at the Hard Rock Hotel. The location was perfect for visiting Universal Studios and Universal Islands of Adventure. We loved the short 5-minute walk to the parks through beautiful scenery, and the free water taxi was a fun and convenient alternative. The front desk staff were amazing and very helpful. Our room was also nice, clean, and well-equipped. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this hotel for families visiting Universal!

it would only have been better if the room had free water bottles and a more modern coffee machine.

Loved this hotel! Fast passes and early entry for the parks included in our stay! Great pool! Great food and cocktails! Short walk to universal studios and IOA! Super friendly and attentive staff! Both at the reception and pool bar! Will definitely stay again!

Nothing about the hotel itself - however, don’t bother taking the boat to the parks. We waited 20 minutes for and the boat still hadn’t arrived (after being told it will be “about 5 mins”). Everyone ended up giving up and walking to the parks (which took 5 minutes) so we wasted quite a bit of time.

We stayed on the Rock Royalty level and it did not disappoint. Major shout out to Nan in the Rock Royalty lounge who made the stay extra special. She really went above and beyond to make us and our kids feel special and well taken care of.

Wait times at beachclub were a bit long. We ate dinner there a few times when the kids were tired from a busy day and it seemed to be a bit understaffed. Food was great, so no complaints there. Lighting in the room was a bit low, especially in the area near the wardrobe/closet space.

We booked this hotel for one night mainly to take advantage of the the complementary express passes. When we calculated how much we would pay for our party of 4 express passes it made sense to go for the hotels complimentary express passes, which would save us only $60 but more importantly would give us a room to relax inbetween the rides and our breaks. Orlando’s August sun is terribly hot, anytime from 1pm-3.30pm, we dreaded those hours. So having a cool room to relax in for a few hours was the only way we could manage the long day. For that reason, I’d say it definitely was worth it. The common areas at the hotel and its grounds are of a high standard. We were all very impressed with checkin, the ladies at checkin were efficient and friendly. The themed hallways, hotel ambiance was cool. The islands of adventure should be on everyone’s bucket list. We spent 11 hours total at the park. We took 2 intermittent breaks in our room. Around 11pm, my family and I decided we didn’t want to spend the night at the hotel, we just didn’t feel comfortable. So we checked out and drove back as the airbnb we are staying at was much nicer than the hard rock room. So we checked out and drove back to champions gate.

Our excitement ended once we entered our bedroom. It was such an anti climax. Honestly i wouldn’t even rate it a 3 star. I can’t compare hard rock hotel to four seasons, Evermore, or Hyatt. Most of the room furniture is old, outdated, chipped off leather, rusted metals, soiled and tardy carpets, horrible. We paid $693 for one night, in August, peak period. For a twin room with double beds. I expected a proper 5 star accommodation but was disappointed.
