Everything from checking in to checking out was wonderful. Our room was spacious, with comfortable beds and the lovely view an added bonus. The buffet breakfasts were delicious with a wide choice to suit all, even for a vegetarian like me! We also enjoyed tasty dinners and, as with our breakfasts, ate on the terrace, whilst being entertained by flocks of wild ducks! The hotel hygiene is first class and the staff friendly and informative. We will return!

I'm not keen on the new name given to the hotel. I just think that the Select Apple was much more catchy than The Garner. That's just my personal opinion and my only dislike if you like!

While this hotel isn't situated in the city center, it proves to be an excellent choice for those traveling by car, offering convenient access. Its large capacity meant we were able to secure a room with remarkable ease, booking just five minutes before our arrival. This was actually our second stay at this hotel, which speaks to our previous positive experience. The room itself was spacious and quite comfortable, and we appreciated the cleanliness and the generously sized bathroom.

Honestly, there weren't many drawbacks to note. If I had to mention one minor point, it would be that the towels provided seemed a bit past their prime – not quite as fluffy as one might expect from newer towels.

Room was spotless and reasonably well furnished and a good size. I was lucky to get a room with a view of the lake, good pressure in the shower, and a bathtub. Travelled in the middle of a heatwave, but aircon worked. Being able to open windows was a bonus as I don't like sleeping with aircon on. Staff really friendly and everyone from the reception to bar staff and cleaning staff were pleasant and engaging. Also able to hire bikes for hotel which was handy. Overall a great stay!

A bit further from city centre so a bit of a walk.

I just needed a place to stay while driving from France to Amsterdam ferry port. After driving all day I realised I needed to stop in Maastricht. I booked on Booking.com fairly easily, choosing the hotel for ease of access from the motorway. Staff were friendly and welcoming although I arrived late and a bit strung out. They helped locate the nearby free parking. The room was gorgeous as was the view of the river, but I hardly saw it because I slept soundly as soon as I hit the pillow. I left at the last minute very refreshed and ready to hit the road again.

The staff are generally overall very friendly and helpful. They provided me with a mini fridge and ironing facilities in the room. The bed was super comfortable and I saw the room was cleaned each day. It did not need to be and that was my own fault for not putting the sign on the door each day. The breakfast selection is big, excellent and unlimited. It is your own fault if you leave in the morning and you are hungry.

Location wise is not great for my work at UMC+ next to the MECC when travelling. It is at least 45 minutes of a walk or 30 minutes by 2 bus changes in a good day. Sometimes the buses do not run on time and there is no indication. I found the room itself and bathroom had a lot of signs of wear including marks and scratches under the sink, the floors, skirting boards that run along the bottom of the room. The difference in pricing for the rooms including and excluding breakfast is a lot. I feel there should be better discounted prices available when staying there many times.

A great 4-star hotel in Maastricht! Very helpful and friendly staff, they don't see you as "just a guest" but try to interact with you and take interest in what brings you to Maastricht. Very good buffet breakfast and has a bar/lounge that is open until midnight. They also have a pool table near the reception. The hotel also offers the possibility to rent a bicycle for less than €12 a day - I highly recommend this to get around the city!

There is no gym/fitness centre or swimming pool. However, there is a Basic-fit gym that is a 2-minute walk from the hotel that is open 24/7. The only limitation I can think of is that the hotel is located in a quiet and peaceful part of Maastricht. This means you need to catch a bus to get to the centre. The buses pass every 40 minutes or so (maybe because I visited during the weekend). If you can cycle, I would highly recommend renting a bicycle from the hotel because this would be much quicker and cheaper, plus Dutch roads cater well for cyclists! The hotel's quiet location surrounded by a small park and lake ensures that you will sleep like a baby! :)

This is a solid and OK hotel outside the city centre near large motorways. It is located right besides a large football stadium at the edge of a large park, so, I guess, apart from general public, it probably serves mostly sports fans and football players. As such, it's just a large box building without much flair outside, nor inside. It's well equipped, comfortable and the breakfast was very nice. It's well reachable by public transport and, although there were no restaurants in the direct vicinity, we found really nice dining options just a couple of bus stops far away (or 20min walking). Rooms were in a somewhat brutalist style with concrete and crude steel elements, but all in all, nicely decorated, even if - very much in the style of the whole place - very non-descript and without much flair. All in all, good experience for our city trip and I would do it anytime again.

Nothing to complain about.

Everything was clean, staff was quick and efficient at check-in and checkout.

- Toilet roll is squished by your knee when sitting on the toilet. - The bed was a bit soft and used for my taste but still provided decent support. - After a long day at 22.17hr I find the bar closed, when asking as the reception next to the smaller bar, whether I could get a drink there or through room service to close my day the answer was 'no' unless I want a soda, accompanied by the advice I could order out a drink if I wish for something else through an Uber-like delivery service... Reception the following day apologized.

The room is spacious and all the staff are very friendly and helpful.

My daughter when she just check in into the room, went to the bathroom and wash her face, almost wipe her face with one of (supposed) clean towel in bathroom and she looked at the towel there is a stain of poop from the supposed new and clean towel. I called the housekeeping immediately, they apologized and gave another new clean towel. But yeah, almost.....

The hotel has the feel of a business hotel and is located towards the outskirts of Maastricht. It is clean and modern inside with an industrial feel to the rooms. There is a bus stop near the hotel that will take you to the center of the city.

There is not other restaurants (except McDonald's) near by this is definitely not a tourist location/destination.
