Easy parking, spacious rooms and luxurious bath room

Checking in at 16:00hrs is very late, especially since check-out is at 11:00hrs. Normally you can check in at 15:00hrs or even 14:00hrs. Staff was discussing customer behaviour at the reception, that's a no-go in hospitality!

Hôtel itself was very nice. The room was perfect, not tiny, not noisy and clean. From the picture, I thought the gym was small but it was actually good. I didn’t check the swimming pool though but my sister told me it was very nice. There is a bus to the centre 2min walk from the hotel. And if no bus, it is only 30min walk, so good location. Free parking which is convenient when your stay several days.

The only negative point is that the breakfast was the same price for an adult and a child, knowing that a 8 year old doesn’t eat that much.

Lovely, friendly staff and great location. The hotel is right beside a bus stop that brings you into Maastricht. We were there for a concert and the hotel staff were extremely helpful offering advice on bus shuttles to venue. The hotel is beautiful with great amenities. We didn't get to use the spa but the surroundings were extremely relaxing and peaceful.

When we first arrived there was a horrible smell in our room from the bathroom. When we ran the water the smell disappeared. We mentioned this at the desk and she said that it's a common issue but it would be nice to have the room fresh when going into it, especially as we had to ask for new towels that day also as the smell of them was as if they'd been sitting damp.

Bar staff refused to provide a glass of tap water and instead insisted that only bottles of water to purchase were available!

I have been to another Van der Valk and this one didn’t disappoint. The convenience in the location. The opportunity to charge our electric vehicles without worry was a godsend after missing our flight to Switzerland because of finding charging stations that would work. The rooms felt like a bunch of angels came down and told us to just relax and enjoy what Maastricht/NL has to offer without any worries. The front desk staff were exceptional as they went above and beyond taking care of the family.

Great facilities, excellent breakfast, great staff, bed was very comfortable, large room, great bathroom, free parking. Walking to the city center is very well doable (30 minutes). I would certainly recommend this hotel.

Didn't like the design of toilet in room, with transparent door and light that turns on automatically, wakes up the second person during night. Small detail

Friendly stuff. Free and tasty coffee capsules in room were provided. Nice swimming pool. Huge free parking. Possibility to charge EV on hotels parking. Good but some expensive restaurant.

Rather expensive breakfast. No bath robes were in room, u have to get it from reception with some deposit.

Everything is absolutely beautiful. The staff is amazing and kind, the room is nicely decorated and comfortable. Would recommend it in a heartbeat.

I was a bit clumsy with the heat system, I could not make it go up to 20 degrees from 18,5. Still we slept very well so no biggie.

The breakfast buffet was amazing. There was a bus stop right by the hotel to get to the city center.

We informed about renting bikes at the hotel to be able to get to the city center without having to depend on the bus. But we would have had to bring them back at 8 PM which would have defeated the purpose.

My friends and I enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Van der Valk ! We appreciated the cleanness of the room. We were 3 in the room and we were impressed with the size of the room. We enjoyed the wellness center and the room service for dinner. Great location, great staff and great breakfast with variety of products ! The parking is free and the city center is 10min away by public transport. I recommend this hotel. Thank you !

A nice to have would be a massage service in the wellness center. The check in at 4pm is a bit late.
