Loved EVERYTHING! One of the THE best hotels i've stayed in (and ive traveled 70+ countries!) due to the amenities. The staff was incredible and super helpful. Could not get enough of the coffee station, free drink daily, live music, fire pits, coffee station, onsen, massage chairs again, etc etc. We arrived close to midnight after a long day in transit when it was raining. Easy, relaxing airport bus from KIX airport. Wish we thought to try the onsen! The other days we did the onsen, it was the BEST way to wind down after lots of walking. And then the massage chair after - golden combo! The balconies in each room really made the place feel spacious and a touch of luxury to have in Japan. 1000% recommend! Safe neighborhood, great cafes nearby (Kurasu Kyoto Stand is brilliant!), Don Quijote nearby too, as well as AEON mall + supermarket. A block from kyoto station which is incredibly convenient too! Kyoto tower is just on the other side with great views, and brilliant food on the food floor too!

Everything was incredible. It was very near to the train station, which was convenient. There was also a subway nearby. And 7 eleven around the corner. About the hotel - it was simply amazing. The room was very specious, with large TV. At the hotel restaurant there was live music every evening. The laundry room was with washing machines and dryers as well! When waiting for your clothes, you can use there a massage armchair! The room was always clean, the people who work there are incredibly nice and professional. Would recommend this hotel to everyone, who wants to stay in Kyoto.

Nothing wrong, everything was perfect

The hotel is excellently located a few minutes' walk from the main Kyoto Station, which made touring via train, subway and bus very easy. The staff at reception and in the dining room were very friendly and helpful. Since I had been warned that hotel rooms in Japan are small, I opted for the Superior Double Room with balcony, which gave me ample space. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and offered much variety. I had dinner twice at the hotel and found it very good. The daily free welcome drink each evening was a much appreciated bonus. The open atrium lobby area was lit with open fires and comfortable. I liked the ecological-room cleaning scheme.

This was our most comfortable stay in Japan to date. We spent 5 nights in a Deluxe King Room with Balcony. It had so much room including a chase lounge and a reasonable sized balcony. It was modern and spacious with a good sized bathroom and huge 75inch tv. The staff were all amazing and helpful and quite a few could speak English. The lobby had a similar vibe to a Bali open air lobby. There was a lounge with various free drinks geared to travellers checking in early or out late. The restaurant and an open air bar with 2 wood fires surrounded by comfy lounges. There was alive music quite a few nights we were there and a free happy drink each day. The public bath area was excellent, no cold plunge baths but there was a sauna with salt for you to apply to your body. There is also a free laundry (just 100Y for detergent) and plenty of massage chairs. Loved every minute of our stay here.

Location: Very convenient location as it's right next to Kyoto station. You'll be able access Kyoto very easily from here. Stay: Very spacious room. Nice balcony area to sit and relax. Photos give an accurate representation on the size. Laundry was free. They offered free drink service at night (alcohol and non-alcohol) at the restaurant on the ground floor. The vibes were amazing here, live music playing in the restaurant and relaxing in the lounge by the firepit was awesome. Quite enjoyed the different varieties of coffee beans that you can grind and drip brew. Breakfast was excellent and fresh, seems a lot of the food was made in house, with a mix of different options available, seating can be limited so make sure you leave enough time.

I found the pillow to be a bit thin, would love to get one with bit more volume.

This hotel is only a 5-6 minute walk from Kyoto Station, but just off the main street, so quieter than you might expect. The hotel is split into two halves by a quiet road. We were in the South Side and our room was quiet, comfortable, and perfectly adequate for our 3 night stay. Free teas/coffee and cold drinks were available on the ground floor, along with 2 modern running machines, free massage chairs and a launderette. We did a wash as soon as we arrived, and just as well as it soon gets busy. (They do sell individual washing capsules at reception). The hotel has its own bar and restaurant which we used each night. Great for meeting other guests and sharing experiences and it is all reasonably priced after you have had the daily free welcome drink they offer you. The menu is limited but the portions and quality are good.

The breakfast selection was very good, well worth the money. Self serving coffee and tea stations were nice. Free laundry service is also a bonus.

The construction on a building next store was really loud, they jack hammered ( concrete demolition) literally all day, 6 days we stayed. We even checked out a day early because of this and lost our money. Actually felt bad for the workers that were doing it. Hard work. The beds were not super comfortable and only one really thin pillow in which I’m usually ok with but it really wasn’t comfortable on our necks and back. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay in Kyoto the close convenience of this hotel to the train station.

The room was a good size, and the balcony was an added extra. The beds were comfortable and a good size. The location was handy to the Kyoto train station, though many of the well-known temples were some distance away. They are quite scattered around the city, so it in some ways, the hotel location was OK since it was possible to take a subway or other train to the general location of the temple to be visited, and the take a slower bus trip to closer to the actual temple location. The breakfast was really excellent, and a complementary "welcome drink" every evening was a nice touch. Complementary coffee was available most of the time.

The sauna was wonderful. People can run with the salt to clean themselves before entering the hot spring. The staff were friendly and trying to communicate and answer as much as they could. They offered free drinks and welcome drinks everyday and even ice cream and popsicles to enjoy in the summer!

There were two buildings, and the sauna was in a building where the smoking area was designed on the first floor. If you don’t like the smell or have kids, there’s no way to avoid it. Moreover, it would be helpful if the people who wanted to use the sauna facility could stay in the same building with the sauna. There’s no AC in the main building.

We loved everything! Location, rooms, sauna, shared space, massage chairs and ambience. And the breakfast was the best in my life! Arigato gozaimasu.
