Rooms are clean, staff is really nice and there's great coffee for free in the lobby. Hotel is just 5 min. walk from train station which is really convenient and you can easily walk to To-ji temple, Umekoji park and surrounding neighbourhoods.

I got sick and stayed here a couple days to rest and recover. It was very comfortable and a great price. They have two washers and dryers so I did laundry which was nice and easy. Close to Kyoto Station and on the same side as the buses. The woman I talked to at the front desk didn’t speak much English, but I used Google translate to ask her a couple questions and she was very nice about it. Room was a typical size for Japan.

Most of the nearby buildings were other hotels, so not much to do nearby. I only traveled around Kyoto one day, but the metro line I took was on the other side of Kyoto Station, so it was quite a long walk through the station.

I like that there’s natural sunlight that comes in, there’s a window but you can’t open it completely but enough for natural air to come in. I do like the fact that it has a small bath too. Overall, the place is very convenient. It’s few minutes walk from Kyoto station and few minutes walk to bus station going to the tourist attraction. If you walk around there’s also the park and other tourist attraction. There’s many restaurants around the area too.

The washing machine is not that good.

The hotel was lovely and quiet at night and was an easy walk from Kyoto Station and surrounding shops and restaurants. A discreet front entrance makes an elegant first impression for this spotlessly clean hotel.

Although the quality of the bed was excellent, it is very firm and if you aren't expecting a very firm mattress when you're visiting Japan, you may be disappointed. For first time travellers to Japan, a couple is likely to find most hotel rooms very small and it can make it a place you only want to return to sleep in. This is typical of most hotels in Japan though and you need to plan where you place everything in the room.

It was great value for the money. Incredible staff very nice and eager to help. The kids loved the place.

We been sleeping on loads of futon madresses in traditional ryokan during our Japan trip with no problem, but these madresses were a different kind, we felt. Both my husband and kids had problem with their backs. Good to know is that this is the family room, the other rooms don’t have futon and tatamifloors as I understood it. We tried to solve it with dubble madresses

The location was 5 minutes from the Kyoto station if you go out the haichoji side of the station and 2 minutes from Kujo station. Easy access to get to Kyoto main city was very easy and within a few stops. There is a family mart a minute walk from the hotel and a 7/11 and big electronics store within 4 minutes. They provide very nice free amenities like face wash, lotion, moisturiser, razors, toothbrush, umbrellas, coffee and tea for guests in the lobby. The triple room was very comfortable for a family of 2 adults and 2 children. They provide luggage storage if you arrive early or even when you checked out and want to explore the Kyoto more. They have luggage forwarding service as well. We didn’t use it but did enquire about it as they have someone at the desk until 12am. Once you have checked in and paid the Kyoto tourist tax which was about 200 yen per adult via the self check in/out system using the kiosk which was really simple.

The double room for a family of two adults and one child was a bit small when travelling with large suitcases but that’s expected in Japan.

The location is the best as it is 5 minutes walking distance to Kyoto station (if you exit from the other end of the staion it could be up to an 11 minute walk), and close to many mini marts such as 7-eleven and family mart. There is also a department store close by and a Daiso which is a 12 minute walk. The staff were very friendly and they kept our luggage for several hours before our check-in, which allowed us to visit many of Kyoto's sites during that time. We loved having 4 beds in the room which allowed each one of us a great night rest. On the downside, there was a bit limited space to move around which was ok for a short stay. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Great value for the money. As a woman traveling alone it was a relief to find that the location was easy to find, close to all public transport and sites, especially Kyoto station. I mainly walked to all the tourist sites and used the trains/busses for further sites. Lots of restaurants, shops, and everything you need nearby. Clean, quiet, you have everything you could need! You have to pay a separate tourist/tax/fee to their machine at the lobby. I'd recommend having Japanese translation apps on your phone also. There's ice, laundry, and vending machines in the lobby also. My basic room had wifi, a fridge, tv. These rooms are way smaller than Western hotels but average for the area. I definitely wouldn't put more than 2 people per room, unless you upgrade to something bigger.

We thought it was a great value, friendly helpful staff, wonderful room, nice amenities. It's also less costly than other places. It is not a luxury scene there, but very agreeable, and we plan to recommend it to our many musician friends who travel to Kyoto.

Nothing! We like breakfasts with hotels, but it was easy enough to grab something nearby. It was worth it for the value. And EXTREMELY helpful and courteous staff!!

There was no breakfast but coffe and tea is available For free in lobby 24 hrs. They do have vending machine and microwave by the lobby. Convenient store is just a walk a way and small restaurants are also close by. Suzuki and the other young guy was very accommodating and helpful especially when being asked for directions around town. You can store your luggage if you arrive early than check in time and store it within 24 hrs when you check out. Place is very clean and relatively new. It’s no more than 5 minutes walk from the Kyoto station.

None so far other than it would be nice if booking .com tuck in the per person tax that was mandatory extra pay beyond the consumption tax …it cost 200 yen per person Per day costing as an extra 1600 yen for 4 person in 2 days
