This hotel boasts an unbeatable location right at JB Sentral, making it incredibly convenient for exploring. Komtar JBCC and City Square are literally a stone's throw away, and we could easily walk to several popular breakfast spots. We practically left our car in the carpark for the entire stay, as most places were accessible by foot. The cleanliness of the room was acceptable, and the check-in process was smooth with no deposit required, which was a nice bonus. A big bonus for those who drives are the hotel offers free sheltered parking for hotel guest.

Overall, my stay at the hotel was pleasant, and I have no complaints. The room was a bit small, but that was perfectly acceptable. For future guests, please be aware that the room I stayed in did not include a fridge.

Stayed end-April 2025. Location was great, just across Komtar JBCC. Check-in was fast. Room was also clean, provided basic necessities (water bottles), even disposable slippers. Aircon, hot shower, toilet flush -- all great. We had a pleasant sleep during our stay, no noticeable noise pollution [as compared to recent reviews]. We had breakfast at the hotel. They offer a buffet spread and it's fairly descent, especially for the price paid. Cereals, hot items (rice, hot dishes, scrambled eggs), porridge, a good selection of breads/toasts, juice, milk, etc. Bonus: There's a convenience store on the ground floor, attached to the hotel. Literally do not need to leave the guarded hotel premises.

Nothing really. Paid approx SGD 80 for 1night, which I think is reasonable, given the hotel's location and provided amenities. It was a pleasant stay.

Stayed at Fives Hotel JBCC for a short trip and was impressed by the unbeatable location—just a short walk from the JB Sentral train station and CIQ. Perfect for those crossing from Singapore or using public transport. The hotel is clean, modern, and simple—no frills but has everything you need for a comfortable stay: clean beds, decent showers, and efficient check-in/out. Great option for a short stay or transit night. Don’t expect luxury, but for the price and convenience, it’s very good value. Ideal for travellers who just need a fuss-free place to rest.

The staff was very polite and the hotel smelled nice especially the lobby side. Good initiative from the hotel to prepare cold water for the check in and out guests.The breakfast has a lot of choices. Very good value for money with that strategic location. 👍🏽

The hotel reception should have enough umbrella for the guests in case they need it during rainy weather.Perhaps the hotel can rent an umbrella at rm20 and when it's returned they can get back their deposit. I went to ask the staff but he said don't have. So I have no choice but to buy from the convenience store in the hotel itself.

the staff was very attentive and helpful. tried their best to accommodate my kid's medication storage requirement as well as room request. parking was easy too. Family room was spacious & clean. Walking distance to KOMTAR JBCC and nearby malls. There's also mynews.com on the lobby floor which opens until 2am. They even have a storage room to park your luggage after check out if you still want to walk around the area. Overall it was a pleasant stay & would stay here again.

Perhaps the hotel management could address the sewer smell as it was very strong at certain areas of the building. everything else about the hotel is great but the smell is enough to deter some guest from returning. There's an irish pub on the building beside the hotel which could get quite loud but it didn't bother us that much.

Choose this hotel to celebrate my husband's birthday, I can’t say enough good things about the customer service I received! especially the customer service person named Suzy, She was prompt, courteous, and remarkably efficient in resolving my issue. She took the time to listen carefully and provided solutions that exceeded my expectations. Every interaction was handled with care and respect, making the whole experience smooth and stress-free. This level of service is a real gem and sets a new benchmark for what excellent customer support should be—highly recommended!

The hotel offered excellent value for its price point. Komtar was conveniently located within walking distance. Breakfast was satisfactory. Overall, the experience was quite positive. While the air conditioning unit was somewhat dated, it provided effective cooling.

They only gave us one key card, supposedly to save them from running out. It was a real pain, my wife and kid had to tag along whenever I needed to get anything. I can overlook other flaws given the price, but this was unacceptable.

The location in the heart of JBCC, the lobby even small but much a good ambience. the Staff at the front desk very helpful to my needs and polite also the F&B Staff. Breakfast (for adults RM35/- , Kids below 5yrs FOC) I could say, 4 stars (except the mee goreng mamak because of “masih rasa kapur”. nasi lemak+sambal+ayam masak sos was so good.

maybe parking I need to turn around to the back of building to get into the hotel parking. because if you are from the Jalan Wong Ah Fook and from the hotel lobby you cant easily turn to left because the road serve to the car parking is SEHALA. and you need to turn right from the hotel and SHELL, take a right side and get into Jalan Tuas i think

The hotel staff demonstrated exceptional friendliness and kindness. Despite the hotel being quite full, the receptionist went above and beyond during check-in to accommodate my request for two side-by-side rooms, doing their utmost to assist. The rooms were impeccably clean, and everything was arranged neatly and to my satisfaction.

The room I occupied had issues with the air conditioning remote control. Despite attempting to adjust the vane using the remote, I was unable to do so. I'm uncertain whether the remote is designed to control the vane.

The location of this hotel is really good being just one block away from the railway station serving trains to both Singapore and Malacca/Kuala Lumpur. It also has an Irish bar next door. The breakfast is also really good. Very reasonably priced especially if you are coming from the mega expensive world of Singapore.

The room was a bit small and the a/c was either on or off so not very controlable, but for one night in transit between Singapore and KL it was OK.
