This hotel is brand new, so furnishings are up to date and not at all worn. The staff is just amazing! When problems cropped up (As the do in a hotel opened only one week prior) the staff all went above and beyond to fix any problem in any way they could. Also, the location is fantastic. One of the best breakfast places I have ever been to is right downstairs. Another well know coffee shop a block away. You can walk to La Placita. (But will want to Uber back...) And any other location was an inexpensive Uber ride, generally. It is also in a very classic building with all the classic looks you might expect. In the update, they kept many of the classic things, only updating where needed, like bathroom finishings, which are top notch. There is also a rooftop deck they are still working on that will be a nice place to relax.

It is a brand new hotel, with the teething problems of any new construction. That said, it really gave the staff the opportunity to shine. When there was a plumbing problem in my initial room, the housekeeper, Paulina, assisted us in moving our things in an almost transparent way. (She left it tidier then we did) The building is old, and the rooms are smaller than you might expect. I would get the larger room, as the small one with a Queen bed leaves little room for other things. If you travel in vintage hotels, this is normal, but if you are used to La Quinta, it may be a bit of a surprise. But the slightly larger room left plenty of room for the time we were there.

It was the perfect hotel for both of us. Small, clean, quiet, and everything close around the area. Close to a bus stop. You need codes to enter the hotel/room. That was a plus. You have everything you need: clean towels, bathroom, lamps with plugs to charge your phone, TV, nice clean bedsheets, and it smelled really good. The bathroom had plenty of toiletries. I'm definitely coming back to this place the next time we visit Puerto Rico.

No fridge or microwave in the room. No elevator, but it was a small place, and we didn't mind using the stairs.

This is a wonderful little boutique hotel. Their attention to detail on our room was perfect. The towels were thick and soft. They are adding 5 new rooms on the first floor. Considering they’ve only owned it for two years and just opened to guests after a year of renovations it’s amazing. The front desk staff are helpful, friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. We wish the American owners good luck with all their plans for the future.

They don’t have elevators BUT they do make that known prior to booking. The front desk carried our luggage up for us.

The easiness of getting to the hotel from the airport - in basically 10 minutes - is a big plus, if you are using the hotel the night before the flight. The room is super clean and quite comfortable, the bathroom has nice toiletries. All is nicely designed.

Our comfort was ruined by the fire alarm, which went off 6-7 times in the period between 2-5 AM, which seriously damaged our sleep pattern and we could not rest properly after the entire day spent on various planes to get to Puerto Rico. Also, there was some confusion about the digital code and room number, because we received no fewer than 3 different codes and room numbers, and when I pointed that out to the hotel, they said we should only use the latest one.

We needed to book a hotel for a really late arrival. It was perfect. They had it all set up to get us in late with our room ready for our check in which was about 1am. The next morning when we met the staff, they were super friendly. If you need a nice bed in a well air-conditioned room for a late night check-in, this is the place. The rooms are European style: small, clean, expert use of the small space.

The only thing that a person needs to know is that there is no elevator that we saw so one must be able to carry their luggage upstairs.

It is very easy to access the front door and your room, since the staff gives you a pin code and pin room number to enter if they are not at the front desk. The room we stayed in had a very cozy and comfortable queen bed. The room has all the space you need to hang your outfits and a drawer storage to put clothes and other personal items. There is A/C in the room. There is also a smart TV where you can stream on all your favourite apps. Staff is always available if you need assistance; they are very considerate. They provide you with more pillows, sheets or towels if you need them. They also have hair dryers and steam irons. The bathroom was impecable! Very clean and it gives you that minimalist like style. There is hot water to take showers. Rooms are close to eachother, but the rooms are pretty much sound proof, as we don’t have any complain for loud noises. There are nearby brunch places to eat. This hotel provided us with an amazing experience. I’ll definitely come back for another stay!

Checking into the Looking Glass Hotel was like stumbling upon a hidden gem in San Juan! Nestled in just the right spot, it's a quick Uber hop to both Old San Juan's historic charm and the sun-soaked beaches. With fantastic restaurants just a stroll away, my taste buds were in for a treat every evening. From local flavors to international cuisine, there's something to satisfy every craving. The staff at Looking Glass Hotel was friendly and super helpful, they made me feel right at home from the moment I stepped through the door. The rooms were spacious, stylish, and equipped with the best air conditioners— I stayed cool as a cucumber even when the sun was doing its best to turn up the heat. Overall, my stay at Looking Glass Hotel was great. Whether you're here to explore San Juan's rich history, laze on the beach, or simply indulge in great food, this place checks all the boxes. Can't wait to come back for another round of sun, sand, and hospitality!

Good to refresh for less than a night or couple hours before leaving to the airport

Location can be convenient for some, traffic and parking situation was a bit messy had no idea were to park as it was a last minute booking beware if you arrive after 6pm they don't have someone at front desk for pm or overnight, I wanted to change card for room was unable my flight was really early. Can be loud with people slamming doors and street noise, they are aware, they left earplugs on room (thank you for that).

Location and condition of the property are spectacular. Property is extremely well taken care of, rooms are very comfortable, water temperature is great, bed is a 10/10. I live in a condo building just a few steps from the hotel, and due to some plumbing issues that displaced me from my home for longer than I care to say, I booked this hotel. They were extremely accommodating adding on additional nights, and I was so impressed that I will start putting up my out-of-town guests in this hotel.

I wouldn’t have changed a thing.

Clean, modern hotel. Easy self check-in. Our room was on the small side but comfortable, with strong AC and had a lovely walk-in shower. The location is a little bit removed from the main tourist centres in San Juan, but we really liked that. There are loads of cute cafes and restaurants within a short walk. You can also pick up a bus into Condando or the old town easily.

Not many complaints. The bed was on the hard side which isn't our preference.
