The staff was amazing

My stay at Locomo was amazing ! Everything was super clean and the staff was welcoming and helpful from beginning to start. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve had so far in India and there’s even a working area, which I really liked. The location is also really good, it’s in one of the best areas in Mumbai, close to the „Metro“, so you can reach almost everything pretty fast. Some reviews say that the building is quite old and they are somehow right, but everything is super clean, there are no weird smells or anything. It’s just the walls that are not in the best condition, but that didn’t bother me at all.

The hostel was very clean. The private room had all the necessary amenities. It seemed freshly painted so felt new and very cozy. The staff was also very helpful. Recommendations given were good and the location was very accessible. I got an uber in a couple of minutes after booking even at 3AM.

There was constant honking and noise from the adjacent main street during the day. It was relatively quiet at night. There was a temporary internet outage but it was back in 15 minutes. The private room is on the third floor and accessible only via the stairs but the staff helped us with the luggage.

Primarily being situated in a prime location where its close to eateries, places of interests, transit options like Juhu airport, makes it a fantastic choice for both work and leisure occasions. Coming to the property itself, it is a beautiful compact building, enveloped in the midst, away from the urban noise. Greeted by a citric mist welcome and cats (if you are lucky and/or like cats), you’ll meet with Mohammad and Mujibul, the sincere, dedicated Express-ians who will compliment but not complicate the stay. We were carefully introduced to the norms of the stay and escorted to our rooms. And on a side note, the staircase might feel small in space but with perforated wall screen adjacent to the stairs makes it aesthetically pleasant. They were fantastic with handling unforeseen situations. There was an incident with the geyser in our room that we stayed in and they were incredibly responsive to make our comforts meet by providing an alternate solution with hot water supply. The common spaces like food area and games space are connected with many rooms, easily accessible by upper floors as well. A variety of collection of games and interactive experiences can be found and best induced in memories if made with new people available at everyone’s convenient time. Our room was on the third floor attached with 2 other rooms interlinked with a common kitchen, living and lobby space. It was precise and minimal in decor and furnitures. Water dispensary tank and kettles are available for quick beverage session. A blend of yellow and blue in the interior colour scheme of the room subtly lightens, brightens and condenses the worries one’s idea of the room. Well at least made us feel so. A closet, bed, study table with chair, and AC along with smart fan suffices the stay. The bathroom was clean, hygiene and update-to-last-minute when we entered. Compliments the room in a way, and the whole building with the compactness and minimal feel.

A couple of issues that nagged our minds were the smell in the surrounding vicinity and the cleanliness of the furniture (closets, bed table). A jab to the recent dinginess at the walls and wall corners will toss this observation in the bin. I’m sure one of these can be resolved while the other needs to be dealt with some tolerance and ignorance. Unlikely to be a different story unless the situation is cleared.

This property was awesome. Extremely clean (especially when compared to other similarly priced hostels we experienced in India), well located, and had everything we needed! The staff was friendly, welcoming and super helpful when we needed laundry done or wanted to order food (which was even delivered to our room!) We tried the dinner our first night since we were too tired to go anywhere after our flights, and I would absolutely recommend it - homemade and delicious. Our private room was super spacious, had cold AC, hot water, great shower pressure, plenty of towels, and one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept on in the past 3 months. It seems like many similarly priced accommodations are often missing at least one of those essentials. Either the hot water doesn’t work or the pressure is low or the bed is too firm or something else like that. The Locomo was a 10/10 in every way for us! I highly recommend this place for a private room at an affordable price point in Mumbai.

It is a little bit hard to see the place from the road because there is no large signage or anything. Not a huge issue at all. Just know that the Google Maps location is correct! You just need to walk through their shaded driveway/patio area from the street to enter the hotel.

We stayed in a private room which was neat and clean not only for Indian standards but also for European ones. That was the cleanest property where we stayed over the three-weeks trip India:) Shower was hot and with a good water flow. Moreover, even a hairdryer has been provided.

- Surprisingly, the room was very damp despite the fact that all other compartments were dry and fresh. - The breakfast consisted only of bananas, watermelon, toasts with salted butter and curry noodles. It would be better if the host increases the variety of dishes.

The staff was really welcoming.. They cleared all my queries and replied promptly whenever I contacted them, prior to check in.. They make sure we're comfortable and assist us with everything - be it reserving a bus, giving restaurant or destination recommendations, figuring out how to go somewhere and what to look for, etc. they are there to help.. The room was clean and comfortable.. the common area was cozy.. free drinking water is available.. the location is in a prime spot as well.. It could be a little difficult to spot the place at first, but they are only one phone call away..

This place was a really great find for a good value for money private room. We found the place to have really great facilities and the room was clean and cosy, the bathroom had really hot water which was great after travelling many hours from the UK. The staff were really helpful and loaned us a charger as we had forgotten ours! Breakfast was really good and the beds were really comfortable witg a good range of pillows. Really liked the location as it was easy to get to Andheri, Bandra and Juhu Beach,the airport and the train station! It was the perfect place for my partners first visit to India and we would definitely stay here again!

Occasionally got some foul odour in the toilet Entrance needs a total makeover. Might be difficult for a person with problems climbing as its on the 2nd and 3rd floor.,with no lift.

Completely new hostel I think, the facilities were great. I stayed in the 4-bed female room, with enough space for everybody to be comfortable, with lockers, and the bathroom was also big. Nice AC, hot-water showers, comfortable beds. Only it would be better if they put curtains on each bed for more privacy. It was super clean. Breakfast was also good and the common areas are spacious and comfortable too. Great customer service from all the staff members.

That I chose another hostel for my first two nights in the city.
