I really love how welcoming and kind the owner and staff are here. It is unusual to find such sincere kindness these days. They work to accommodate all of your needs to the best of their ability, to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The location is about a 5 minute drive to the downtown area, where a wonderful winter festival happens every year called Fire and Ice. It is also quite close to Santa’s Village / Tree Top Trekking, and canoe rentals for the warmer months. The rooms have everything we needed, such as two beds, a mini fridge, microwave, and TV. The property also has an outdoor swimming pool for the warmer months, a barbecue that you are welcome to use, and a very large area in the back for leisure games or for children to run around and play. The shower and bathroom area have been newly renovated and look amazing! Cedar Lane is a gem of a find, I have been coming here for years with my family - you just don’t find places like this anymore!

The outside of the motel and pictures on the wevsite do not reflect the inside of our room. The room was incredibly clean and nice. The sheets were new and fresh as was the bed and very comfortable. The room and bathroom were recently renovated and very well done. My only complaint there was a smell, it was of cleaning products I believe or air freshener. But it was a little overwhelming. The room had brick walls on either side, so it was incredibly quiet. They also had a very nice pool in behind, we didn't use but looked well maintained and clean. I would go back again.

The gentleman running this motel is very kind and friendly! Our room was clean and spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The swimming pool put back was a nice touch and was in good condition. It was a great value during busy summer months in Muskokas!

The exterior could definitely use some work… Painting of doors, some seating around the pool. Also, the rooms would be even better with a few touches like some art work or a couple little lamps :)

Close to town (3 mins drive) with a supermarket opposite and a couple of nice cafes and restaurants almost opposite. Although on main road, it was quiet at night. We were in the Queen double room with a basic kitchenette. A good size main room with wall separating the two beds. Friendly host - Jerry - who recommended a nice food truck located literally across the road

Wifi wasn’t working properly. It didn’t work in our unit at all. This also meant the TV didn’t function. As we were checking out, the the owner advised that getting the wifi serviced in an isolated location like Tobermory is very difficult. Made sense. Also - would be great if the staff knew a bit more about the local attractions. Not a major drama - we worked it out ourselves :)

Avish was most accommodating... provided extra towels, soaps and coffee pods upon request. The beds were comfortable. The room and the bathroom were very clean and freshly painted ( no paint smell). I would stay there again.

The beds were cozy. It was very clean . The rooms apparently slightly soundproof , because we only time we heard the group of young people (next door) really was when we were outside. It felt safe as well because of the police station so close. All in all a good place to rest, or use as a home base. A good place to bring the whole family

The room deodorizer used bothered my allergies but after we aired it , it was fine

The staff SHOUT OUT to Awish (I hope I got ihis name correct). He was amazing! Very accommodating and just an awesome person.

Didn't like the fact that there was a storm the night before we checked in so the water in the pool were cold. But it's not their fault.

Loved the pool area, it was clean and my daughter had a blast.

Not that I didn’t like it , maybe a slight improvement would be to have a table and chair inside the pool area so families have somewhere to put their towel down and sit and be close to their kids.

Only suggestion would be space needs at least 1 table lamp. Rooms were very clean and modernized. Our criteria for an overnight stay was proximity to downtown core of community and an affordable stay; would definitely book again.
