WOW!!! The Guesthouse looked simple outside but inside, it is very beautiful, well planned, well organized. The rooms are big enough, the kitchen is well equipped, clean, spacious and very useful. The toilets and shower were clean and enough for all the guests. There is a nook for those who wants privacy, a sofa with TV to relax or just read a book. The breakfast was amazing!!! The staff very friendly and I would love to book here again very soon!!!

We were a family of 10, 2 families of 4 including young children and 2 grandparents. We rented 4 rooms to accommodate all of us. It would be nice if additional family rooms were available, I called ahead to inquire about food for children like chicken nuggets and fries. This was easily accommodated and kids did not go hungry. We enjoyed delicious artic char, lamb filet, chicken breast and tomato soup. The dessert cake and skyre with fruit was also delicious. The grounds only had a few chickens and goats. The description sounds as though you ate staying on a farm and many animals are nearby.

This is a European-style guesthouse where you rent individual, private rooms. Ours was the family room with a private bath. It was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Simple but perfect. Breakfast was wonderful and included--we simply walked across the small parking area to the main building/reception. Our building also had a "common area" with a kitchen, reading area with books and games, etc. Very nice and thoughtful. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it. PS: I am fairly certain that I recognize the reception area from a recent Rick Steves' Iceland episode. Pretty sure he stayed here. Also, this is close to Vik and a convenient base for many waterfalls, glaciers, hikes, etc.

Staff were lovely. Breakfast and dinner were standouts. Dinner was exceptional and surprisingly good value given what we'd been paying elsewhere. Lamb and char were both wonderfully cooked, and how lovely to have a great salad to go with the meals. The array at breakfast was amazing, and quickly replenished. Also loved the peace and quiet of the surroundings.

The room was the smallest we had, and I continually stubbed my toe trying to slide along to my side of the bed. Location was a bit far from attractions, but that came with the bonus of peace and quiet.

The staff is super friendly- check in was very easy. We had a nice big room with windows which I kept looking out for northern lights. Breakfast is good too. They sell handmade wool goods- sweaters and gloves at reception - wool from sheep at the farm and made by the owner. I bought a sweater and love it so much! The restaurant is good too if you don’t feel like driving the 20 min to Vik center. Small selection but good. I had the tomatoes soup and lamb and artic char. Not huge portions but they offer refill on bread. The shared bathrooms are spacious and clean. Never had to wait. This hotel is very close to the plane crash site , Skógafoss, Solheimajokull glacier

The property was charming, cozy and gave a mountain cabin vibe as soon as you walk in. The staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Our room was warm and comfortable, and we appreciated being able to adjust the temperature using the small heater to suit our preferences. The beds were very soft and we had the best sleep from our trip in this location. While the bathroom was simple and not particularly impressive, it met all our needs. The highlight of our stay was the chance to see the northern lights — thanks to the remote location, we spotted them right after stepping outside at night. We only stayed for one night but were lucky to catch a beautiful display. Breakfast was also enjoyable, with plenty of options to choose from.

This was more on us then the property itself, as we got the double room, but forgot to check if it has a double bed or not, and got two single beds. Also, there was a strange smell in the bathroom and in the room, but that solved after we opened the window for a few minutes.

Nice room with 3 beds and a bathroom. Kitchenette & lounge for guest use which was useful. Very helpful staff. A small lounge/bar area in reception. Lovely views to the beach in the distance. Great quiet location, but only just off the main road. A lovely breakfast with a good selection of foods for all tastes/diets

The rooms in the block are all long & thin. All the beds were against the wall on one side due to the layout of the rooms with just a small gap to walk in between. (But it was helpful to have the 3rd bed to put the luggage on)

We really liked that we could have a family room and private bathroom. Our room and bathroom were very clean, and it was warm and comfortable. Breakfast was very nice, and there were so many options! The staff was very friendly and pleasant. We also liked seeing the wool products made with wool from the farm. We would have loved to see the sheep.

It was cold and snowy when we arrived. The entire parking lot was covered in ice and my husband fell getting out of the car. The entrance to the registration and breakfast was a little icy also. The parking lot was so very bad, and I have to believe that this would be a common occurrence in the winter.

Definitely the best guesthouse I've been to in Iceland, and probably one of the best overall. The room is quite small for 2 people, but has everything you may need. There is also a sink and a hairdryer in the room. The bed was really comfortable. The common areas were incredibly clean and tidy. We had a room with a shared bathroom. There are 4 bathrooms (2 are toilets, 2 are toilets with showers). The bathrooms were absolutely immaculate. There is a kitchen with a microwave, boiler and a toaster. Breakfast was really good. Locations is just stunning. Definitely worth visiting.

Location is lovely and pulling up is a great experience. The reception, bar area and restaurant is lovely.

The rooms are quite narrow. We stayed in the old barn which felt like we were staying in a trailer. The rooms could use some love for sure. The duvet covers were rough and scratchy. The shower had little pressure. The breakfast items were disappointing. We were used to homemade bread and some hot eggs and bacon. Just sliced meat. We did enjoy the homemade jam. Dinner was really good! I thought I was having a farm experience with locals but our only interaction was with foreign workers. They were friendly but not an Icelandic experience.
