We were told the room had a 'petite queen' and there was a sense, in the description, that it was not a large room. The room was in fact of a very decent size, the bathroom was large, clean and well designed. Toiletries were nice; we liked the fridge, safe, hanging space, and above all, the very comfortable bed. Good fitness centre. A peaceful beach is a few minutes' walk away. Best of all - given we had jet lag and work deadlines in other countries- it was great to be able to get up in the middle of the night, go down to the dining area, and find beautiful spacious tables and work spaces by windows, all laid out with sockets and USB ports ready. Oh and the parking is plentiful and free!
Literally nothing. Can't fault the place. Would comment only that restaurants etc require a car ie there aren't any very near to hand. But given this place is inaccessible WITHOUT a car, can't say that is likely to be a problem for anyone!

We stayed in a recently refurbished room, really nicely appointed with a great bathroom. The staff were really friendly, happy to make recommendations for meals locally. Good location and you are able to walk down a short path to their private beach area which is shared with some neighbouring properties. Complimentary tea and coffee in the reception area and plenty of relaxed seating. We were there on a weekend when there were several weddings taking place - in fact when we checked out we were informed that we were the only guests not connected to a wedding!. This did not detract from.our stay. Great customer service, friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend.

The Inn has been renovated this year, and the result is terrific. We were able to grab a quick breakfast near reception which was very convenient. My husband chose the self serve coffee and Danish, and I had the egg sandwich and cappuccino coffee prepared by the barista. The dining area was spacious and clean. There was also a vending machine and light snack area near reception. We were in the area for a wedding, and this was a great place, and was in a pretty area, close to many north shore beaches, restaurants, and sights.

The room was a little small, but it served its purpose well. the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The Wi-Fi also seemed to work well. We stayed to go into Salem, though it was a little out of the way but definitely less expensive than anything in the city. The staff was super accommodating, because there was a wedding happening that blocked off the main parking entrance, so they helped me get to the back parking lot where I could put my car.
The only thing that was a little bothersome was the smell in the hallways but it's possible it was just febreeze'd and I'm a little sensitive to that kind of smell. wasn't bad in the rooms itself

Overall, I really enjoy staying here! I've have stayed here a few times over the past few years when I got to visit Salem. It's only about a 10-15 min drive away from Salem, close to other cute towns nearby, but much less expensive than staying in Salem. The rooms are always immaculate, and the staff is very friendly.
Some remodeling is happening right now (end of March '25). It did not impact my stay but if it is something that might impact your stay you may want to call before booking to see if it is still going on.

I had such a wonderful experience at this hotel—it was one of the cleanest places I've stayed in a long time. Plus, the pricing was very reasonable. When I arrived, the beauty of the fountain really took my breath away. The entire property is adorned with beautiful flowers, and everything is maintained so well. It’s clear that the owners truly take pride in their establishment, and that made my stay even more special.
Breakfast was only served on Thursdays

It was off the beaten path and quiet. Parking was ok but we could see how it could fill up if there were other things happening on campus. Our room was tidied daily which was lovely. Coffee was good for hotel coffee. Bed was comfy.
The staff wasn't super personable. We had to make one of them speak to us or he just wouldn't. The room was almost too cozy, very small and confined. We knew there wasn't breakfast when we got there but we really missed it, even something super simple. The lighting in the bathroom was very dim.

Location was perfect for our trip to Salem. Front desk was very helpful and the rooms were extremely clean.
The cleaning staff was unprofessional. They just lingered in the hallway on their phones for the two days we were there. They also seemed to walk in front of us most times we went down the hallway. It was to the point where we paused when walking by their carts in the assumption that they would do it. Your management crew absolutely needs to fix this. It's extremely disruptive and unprofessional.

Location was perfect as we visited our daughter who is on a study exchange at Endicott College, literally across the road with on-site parking. Close to the town of Beverly and also to Beverly Farm - a car would be needed to get around. The current renovations at The Wylie meant we really only used our own room - which was comfortable, clean and modern and the front desk staff friendly.

Very clean. Comfortable bed. Nice shower. Nice bathroom products. Coffee available in lobby and halls. Quiet. Beautiful location. Good AC unit. Kind and helpful front desk staff. Easy parking.
I would have liked a blanket on the bed. There were only layers of sheets. A microwave, coffee maker and fridge that stayed cold in the room would have been nice, but these things were available in the hallways.
