The property was well-maintained and very close proximity to the ocean by way of their private beach. I stayed 5 days / 4 nights and even though it rained 3 of these days, I still encountered the attributes of being by the ocean thanks to the large veranda that extending to the private beach with a full view and full sound of the ocean waves. I loved that you could open any/all of the windows and still take in the salt air and majestic sounds of the great blue. The story and history of this B&B (brought over from Nantucket by way of an iceberg), is fascinating.

Nothing stands out that I disliked about the property. Fairly new owners working hard and making every effort to shore things up by updating hardware and handy-man shortcuts to keep things in good working order.

Our stay at By the Sea Bed and Breakfast was nothing short of exceptional. The property itself is incredibly clean and quaint, with charming details that make it feel like a true coastal retreat. Its location right on the beach is unbeatable—just steps from the sand, with ocean views that instantly put you at ease. Every corner of the place is well-maintained, and you can tell the owners take great pride in keeping it welcoming and spotless.

Wow, what a beautiful place! Absolutely fantastic private beach, very peaceful. The B&B guest rooms were comfortable. Other guests were respectful of noise & I slept really well here. The location is great - a short drive or nice walk to ice cream, coffee + seafood. I will definitely book again.

The shower pressure was a bit unfortunate. Many of the umbrellas on the beach did not work properly. The AC in my room kicking on & off was very loud, so I had to sleep with AC off & the fan setting on, thankfully it wasn't too warm.

The property is very cozy and right by the beach. Beach towels are provided. Parking was not a problem, enough space available. The stuff is very nice and welcoming. Breakfast is included but very simple, Omelette, Pancakes and French Toast. Fridge is in the room, and Microwave is available for everyone to use. I’d very much recommend that place. Good restaurants in walking distance for dinner.

Our room was very small, literally the size of the bed. For $400 a night I would have expected a bigger room.

I liked that it was very close to the beach. Our view was beautiful. Our room was very clean. It was close to restaurants and mini golf and ice cream.

I did not like the parking. They ran out of parking passes (it’s next door to a public beach) and was told to come back the next day (Saturday). We waited almost 2 hours for someone to come in (10AM) only to be told they still didn’t have any. We were afraid of being towed. We went out for the day and at 3PM they gave us a parking pass. I was annoyed because I wanted to start my day earlier than 10AM.

The location is AMAZING. This place was one of the best places I’ve stayed in. The rooms were so clean. We got two adjoining rooms for 6 people and everything worked out perfectly. Staff were so nice. The other guests were super kind. The breakfast was delicious. We liked EVERYTHING about this property and definitely will be coming back.

This property is very quaint and “old cape cod” feels. We stayed in the main building in room 310. We had a view of the water. The room was clean and ac very cold. The property is right on the ocean. Lovely beach that is raked daily. Breakfast is included and wonderful. The owners are friendly and available.

Rooms are small BUT comfortable.

The room and location were great. The breakfast was ok, but should have been more choices and extras. The pancakes were great. The beach was raked every morning...nice. People were very friendly and helpful. You can walk all the other adjourning beaches. Great point to start from for visiting other towns on the cape.

The ac in the room needs to be recharged...mini split. Very expensive.

The staff was EXCELLENT! They were so friendly and helpful! The breakfast exceeded my expectations! Expertly prepared and delicious! The beach, fire pit porch, and indoor cafe were really enjoyable amenities.

The room was small but manageable.
