What a treat, beautiful location on the shores of the Victoria Dam. Peaceful, serene and a great escape from the bustle of larger towns, like Kandy. Super comfortable bed, sitting area and external balcony. Excellent wifi. Great bathroom with plenty of hot water and very good pressure. A highlight of our stay was the exceptional service provided by Wimaladharma. His attention to our wishes, and his eagerness to help with any advice was greatly appreciated. In particular, his settings for breakfast and dinner were amazing, thoughtful and very special. Nothing was too much trouble for him during our stay and we felt very spoilt. A walk to the local town is highly recommended, we were the only tourists around and everyone we met was very friendly and helpful.

Perhaps some minor updating to the property would be timely.

The green Castle has one of the most beautiful views in the world and by far the best we saw in Sri Lanka. It is small family run business to a very high standards. Unfortunately we only had one night at the hotel. We were treated to the most amazing dinner which were superb. The food kept coming and to be honest we didn't do it justice. The room was amazing and beautiful decorated out. Breakfast was again equally delicious as dinner with more than enough food to feed and army. Greetings to the hotel was and experience - our guide was unsure our vehicle would manage the terrain so he contacted the hotel and Randika met us to ensure we were okay. I strongly recommended if you visit Sri Lanka and in the kandy area make a point of staying at this hotel - You won't be disappointed

Everything was amazing. We stayed in the suite, it was so beautiful, huge room and terrace with amazing views! The pictures don’t do justice to this place, it is way more beautiful. Our kids stayed in a normal room, it was small but comfortable and clean. The staff is simply wonderful, always ready do help and always kind and happy. The food was really, really good.

Nothing, we just loved our stay!

Secluded, right next to the lake and as Rakinda very kindly showed me, you can walk directly from the hotel down into the freshwater lake for a very pleasant swim. Beautiful surroundings, calm water.

Not much to dislike if you want peace.

good breakfast. the room was pretty clean too. excellent location overlooking the Victoria reservoir. I would recommend to come here when the water is all filled up in the reservoir. kind and helpful staff.

getting here might be a bit difficult as the road is quite bumpy and not properly maintained. the road can be bit narrow too. That was the only thing that should be improved.

I recently had a wonderful experience at this place. The ambiance is captivating, creating a beautiful and attractive environment. The food was not only good but also left a lasting impression. Overall, a great place for those seeking good food in a charming setting.

We had a lovely stay here! Very peaceful and quiet. Breakfest and dinner was delicious and very well prepared. The place itself is very well maintained. I can highly recommend staying here :))

The location was amazing but the host and his son were the most hospitable people on planet earth! So nice and helpful!

Breakfast was especially prepared for us. Lovely scrambled egg, sausage, and toast.

It would have been nice to have a glass of wine with our dinner.
