I discovered this little gem of a place on booking .com and can thoroughly recommend it. The Owners couldn't do enough for me. Staff looked after me very well. Ideal for young travellers,as it had a very nice swimming pool which unfortunately I could not use. FOOD EXCELLENT AND GOOD VALUE My only down side is I was in new bit and it was difficulty getting any hot water for hot shower The transport arranged on my behalf when leaving for very long journey was very poor Small car without AC and no belt to fasten at the back. For a long journey was just not on. I requested they change it Which in the light of my amazing stay rather muddied the water. I said to them it would be unwise to do that to guests again. I think they took note. They were like family to me, a lady travelling on her own. We had lovely time together and they made sure I was well looked after. Thank you French Gardens I had a holiday to long remember you by.

Super family

A real feeling of a family hotel - run by a Sri Lanka family and very kid friendly. The rooms have a double and a spare single which is great for kids. There's a nice pool, and you've got nicely fitted rooms which are clean with AC, solid Wi-Fi and comfy beds with mosquito nets. The food is pretty good, though they need a fridge for cold beers etc! You're in the suburbs of this city, the owner gave us lifts in and out of town for a small fee) so you're away from the noise and bustle of Kandy but there isn't a ton to do locally.

We arrived from the train station and it was tough getting a ride out to the hotel, got someone on Pick me in the end but it took a bit of patience and haggling.

This place is amazing ! It's better than the pictures, honestly. The food is amazing, and the family is so incredibly kind and helpful that it's unbelievable. The pool is perfect and the grounds are beautiful. The rooms are large and clean and have hot water in the large bathrooms, comfy beds and pillows, and great ac. Honestly, the family and everyone make it even better. Thank you all so much for such a lovely stay!! We were only there for two nights, but I would have stayed longer just to unwind here if I could.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it to others! The hotel is run by a lovely family. The room is a good size with a lovely large bed and good mosquito net. The room also has AC. The bathroom was lovely and big too. Very clean throughout. They serve food and drinks and there is a lovely terrace big enough for all guests to sit and eat/drink with a great view. We particularly loved the breakfast. So much food, lots of fruit too! The swimming pool is lovely. They clean it regularly and there are plenty of sun beds around it. We were looking for a place outside of the city which had more nature around and the location of this hotel was exactly what we wanted. It was around 7km from the centre of Kandy (approx a 20 minute tuk tuk or taxi ride). There is a town which you can walk to (about 1km from the hotel). Here there are supermarkets, wine stores and a few places to eat. Overall great value for the money and I would recommend this place.

WiFi could be weak at times but otherwise no issues whatsoever!

We liked being a bit out of town but in very easy tuk tuk distance. There was a great atmosphere. Also fantastic that everyone could bring in alcohol and they would look after it and keep it cold.

Our room had been intentionally rebooked and we're going to be put up in another room for the first night. We had to strongly push to get the room we had booked. Restaurant menu struggled especially if staying longer than one night.
