The food at the hotel’s restaurant was delicious, with a great variety of local and international dishes, and the breakfast buffet was a highlight each day. Whether you’re visiting for leisure or business, Earl’s Regency offers a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and authentic Sri Lankan charm. I highly recommend it and would gladly return!

A Truly Memorable and Delicious Experience – Thank You, Earl’s Regency! We recently stayed at Earl’s Regency in Kandy and were absolutely blown away by the incredible hospitality and personalised experience we received. One of the absolute highlights of our trip was a private cooking class organised just for us – something not usually offered by the hotel, but made possible thanks to the wonderful staff going above and beyond to create a memorable experience. A huge thank you to Chef Jayakodi and Chef Sampath, who took the time to guide us through a hands-on Sri Lankan cooking experience. Their passion, skill, and warmth made it both informative and so much fun. Every dish we prepared was absolutely delicious – fresh, authentic, and beautifully presented. We learned so much and left with full bellies and big smiles! Special mention must also go to the attentive and friendly service provided by the waitstaff during and after the class – every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, making the experience seamless and enjoyable. We cannot recommend Earl’s Regency highly enough – from the stunning setting and comfortable rooms to the exceptional service and willingness to go the extra mile. This cooking class was the perfect example of genuine hospitality and left us with wonderful memories we’ll cherish for a long time. The room was really spacious and had a great view over Kandy and the hills. The restaurant had a huge buffet which we enjoyed. The hotel is also really well located and close to everything you might want to visit in Kandy, including the tooth temple and surrounding view points.

We travelled with a driver and were disappointed to find the poor standard of the driver's accommodation. There was one room for 30 drivers which was loud and uncomfortable. Compared to most places which were more affordable and the drivers shared between 2-4 people max. Our driver ended up staying 25 minutes further out to find separate accommodation. Tourists pay a premium to stay at this hotel, so you would expect that drivers have a reasonably comfortable place to stay to ensure a good night's rest.

We had a wonderful stay at Earl’s Regency Hotel! The location is absolutely stunning, surrounded by lush green hills with breathtaking views. The hotel itself is elegant and well-maintained, with spacious and comfortable rooms. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay, making us feel truly welcome. We especially enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet and the relaxing pool area. It’s also very close to the city center and the Temple of the Tooth, which made sightseeing easy. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Kandy!

The facilities are wonderful and the hotel is beautiful. We were very well taken care of and offered a free room upgrade. The staff are very attentive and helpful. The guest services offering is also very helpful for information relating to your stay in Kandy.

I was 28 weeks pregnant during my stay and found the beds very firm. Otherwise, everything was very comfortable and the rooms very spacious. Kandy is a great city but you probably only need 2 nights maximum.

The breakfast was good mix of local as well as continental cuisines. Really liked fresh fruits and availability of 'Halal' food items on the menu.

I had reserved six rooms for a four-night stay and timely intimated for an early check-in at the hotel, aligning with our flight itinerary. Despite this, upon arrival, we were not accommodated with the early check-in, resulting in a prolonged wait of seven hours in the lobby. Considering that my colleagues and I had endured a journey exceeding 18 hours, this delay significantly compounded the discomfort of our travel experience. Experiencing a delay in check-in after a long flight was indeed exhausting and frustrating.

there was one staff member at Breaky, Aruna or Anura …a captain or supervisor looking after the exit to the garden section. the guy could 1 help his junior staff and 2 he could seriously upgrade his jacket size because it’s about to burst. We requested a table outside, with one table availability he decided to ignore our request and say no tables was available but was happy to give the same table to Caucasian 2 guys to grab a quick bite and leave. you should look after local tourist as much as overseas, one we could be expats, two we all know who visited local hotels during covid lockdowns and Easter attacks.

We booked a room at Earl's for our Anniversary & it was a exceptional stay for us. Our room was really big with all requirements for us & the bathroom was specious with a jacuzzi. Staff was really helpful & they organized a anniversary cake & bed deco for us, so thank you Mr:Mithun & the staff for your effort. We booked on Half Board basis, so breakfast & dinner buffet was large & yummy. Finally earl's group, Thank you very much for made our day special.. We will come back again!

The rooms were spacious and well-appointed, offering a comfortable experience. Condition: The hotel is in excellent condition. The rooms are not only spacious but also feature a lovely balcony that overlooks the pool, adding a touch of tranquillity to our stay. Cleanliness: The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable. Every area, from the rooms to the common spaces, was well maintained standards. Dining: We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner at the hotel. The meals were excellent and offered great value for money. Although the food was a bit spicy for our taste, this is a subjective preference, and the overall spread was impressive and diverse. Staff: The staff were extremely polite and helpful throughout our stay. One standout moment was when they called us to check about breakfast when we were running late, ensuring we didn’t miss it. This level of attentiveness and care was truly exceptional. Value for Money: The hotel offers excellent value for money. The quality of the rooms, amenities, and services provided met our expectations. Pool: The pool was excellent, both in terms of size and cleanliness. It provided a perfect spot to relax and unwind. Overall: Our overall experience at the hotel was fantastic. From the excellent location and pristine condition of the rooms to the attentive staff and great dining options, everything contributed to a memorable stay. The rooms were 5 star worthy with a beautiful view, size was really nice and the staff had been super friendly and nice. The breakfast buffet was good with a big selection. For dinner there was live music. The dinner buffet on a Saturday was offering a wider selection of food.

We arrived on a Saturday where the dinner buffet was offering a bigger selection of food and set the bar higher, which was not matched on the following nights. Dinner was available starting at 7 p.m., we arrived directly at 7 where we spotted some nice chocolate cream for desert which we eyeballed at. When we came to desert at around 7.45 pm the desert was already gone and they told us there where no refill comming, which for a 5* hotel I'm expecting the offered food remains longer than 45 minutes. The shower was not able to keep its temperature and was changing from lukewarm to nearly boiling hot. Also something I'm expecting different from such an establishment.
