a playroom for the kids and the decor. this hotel located in the middle of a busy street was a luxurious oasis. once u walk thru the door it’s like you’ve teleported into another world! so surreal! also appreciated the mini gym

when we checked in we found my kids’ bedroom had a very bad odour. I called the recep and they agreed to send someone up to have a look. the funny thing was my husband happened to be at the Recep and he heard the staff who answered the phone instruct the one who was coming up to pretend he couldn’t smell anything. when that staff came up, he took a deep breath and with a straight face said he didn’t smell anything. I asked him to smell again. and 3 times he told me he didn’t smell anything odd. unbelievable! I had booked two rooms and one room clearly had a bad stench! anyway they sprayed air freshener to mask the smell. wasn’t as bad but still there. they offered to swap rooms but that would mean my kids and I would be on different floors so we decided to just put up with it.

Location and room were excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. A good choice.

The set breakfast options were just so so as other reviews mentioned. Understandable as many guests would be passing thru on their way to Alishan so variation unnecessary. However on our last day the hotel had changed the breakfast service to a buffet option. We didn't try but it looked good and showed they responded to reviews. I can't fault the hotel otherwise.

It was very convenient, less than 5 minutes walk from train station. Hotel has been refurbished and modern. We got twin corner with a nook. The only drawback is the set breakfast that we have to choose from. Loved the little guava stall across the street from hotel. One of the best hotel we stayed in. Should be rated 4 stars.

The set breakfast was ok. Preferred the hamburgers over the Chinese set breakfast as we got to try both since we stayed two nights. Latte was not hot enough and got cold very quickly

The room is spacious and well-maintained, located just a 20-minute walk from Wen Hua Night Market. There’s a small indoor play area adjacent to the restaurant, allowing kids to play while adults enjoy their meals. The hotel offers a generous breakfast, and each kid’s meal comes with a capybara toy. The front desk staff are friendly and accommodating; one of them kindly helped us arrange a taxi to visit the Taiping Suspension Bridge.

Amazing room: very spacious, well-equipped, extremely child-friendly with a great play area inside the room and another bigger one next to the restaurant. Friendly and very helpful staff, perhaps without the extra smile though. Great and very fulfilling breakfast. Perfect location, just 100 meters away from the train station. This hotel is modern, comfortable and very cozy. Highly recommended to everyone, and especially those traveling with kids. Our kids loved this hotel, and so did we!

Good location near Chiayi TRA for a trip to Alishan. Thanks for allowing us to store luggage for 2 days. Comfy beds. Staff - one was really nice and helpful. Another was grouchy and unfriendly. 85 deg bakery next door that sells nice bread and puffs. Turkey rice stall (see picture) a few steps away. Big stationery store within a few mintues' walk.

The breakfast (especially the dimsum one) was a little too salty and meaty. Would prefer something simpler (like sandwiches) for the morning.

Good size room with an amazing shower. Clean and location was great, only a few mins walk to the train station and 10 mins to the nearby market. The reception area has comfy seating. Friendly staff

You have to go through a bar/ dining area to the lifts for your room... The bar/ dining area had a strong smell of air fryer which smelt rather unpleasant. There was a small gym behind the area next to the children's play area. Gym was really small with an 'open' door and filled with the air fryer smell...

Very clean, quiet, polite and efficient service, good breakfast, perfect location next to the TRA station, Japanese dry garden, large balcony, comfortable chair, good lighting for reading, comfortable beds, good working desk with power and USB sockets, value for money. I will be happy to revisit this hotel.

The bathroom has frosted glass walls. A very modern look, but you wake everyone in the room if you have to use it during the night.

We were looking for a place near Chiayi train station to take a morning ride to Alishan Forest Railway. There are several hotels to choose from, but Mega Hotel definitely seems one of the better ones with great facilities, good design, excellent restaurant and very friendly staff. Our modern room was just beautiful, bed very comfortable. Famous Chiayi night market is a short walk away. Traditional Taiwanese breakfast at the hotel was a nice touch – artistically arranged, full of surprising taste experiences. The hotel staff was very accommodating - helping with early check-in and also letting us leave our bags at the reception after check-out until we returned from the Forest Train in the evening.

Great location, less than 5 mins walk from Chiayi Train station (where you can take train or bus up to Alishan National Park). Night market was about 15min slow walk through several small local streets. Google maps navigation worked easily. The reception counter staff (2 young ladies) were incredibly helpful and really went beyond to help me obtain an eSim for my phone. Unfortunately I did not get their names, but full gratitude to them for their help!
