Lovely breakfast each morning which we ate looking at the river and mountains. Great location. Bikes can be used for free to see the local area. For a small fee they will also wash your clothes. Lots of nice restaurants nearby to try. Views from this hotel are amazing. They also helped us book cave tours and a car to our next destination.

Bikes were usable but need fixing up. Tyres needed to be pumped up and breaks were really squeaky and loud.

The room had all the essentials and was very large and clean. The bed was comfortable and they had a heater in case it was cold. The bathroom was huge. The staff was very attentive and made sure I was well cared for. It was nice to have a restaurant that served delicious food. They even gave me a peanut butter sandwich for my bus ride without charging. The staff helped with organizing transportation which ran smoothly. Although the hotel is across the road from the river, they have tables that you can have your food and watch the boats go by.

Nothing. There will be noise from roosters and dogs but that’s part of the rural landscape.

We stayed here just after a typhoon had passed through and it was still raining heavily when we arrived. Despite the dreadful conditions, we had a memorable 2-day stay at this family run homestay, especially when the weather cleared up a little. Linh the receptionist was exceptionally helpful, communicating via WhatsApp message. We booked a transfer to and from Dong Hoi railway station, about a 1-hour drive, which they do themselves for a very reasonable VND 500,000 each way (about £16). Its a short walk into town along the riverside road and there are plenty of bars and eateries along the way. In the other direction, you can borrow a bike (free) and cycle up to the Dark Cave, catching a ferry over to the entrance. We were unable to visit due to flooding, but was still worth it for the ride up the valley. We booked a tour of the Paradise cave, which was spectacular. The teenagers in our group visited the duck farm, which they really enjoyed.

Highly recommend - very friendly hosts, great rooms that are modern, spacious and very clean. They organised a tour for us which was once in a lifetime for us, 7kms into a cave but then you understand when you are on the tour what you are paying for (worth every penny). The hotel also has seating on the river to watch the sent set behind the beautiful mountains and their dog is the best. Worth every penny! Added bonus is great WiFi, and we noticed lots of routers between every other room. Would stay again.

The best omelette we have had in 7 weeks of travelling in Vietnam. The owners/family are all very helpful and welcoming. They arranged a scooter and transfer to the airport. We eat several times in the restaurant, food always excellent and great value. A lovely swimming pool and great sized rooms, massive bathroom.

There was no television in the room, but to be honest, we didn't really miss it.

The hosts organised pick up for us at 4am and when we arrived early the car picked us up straight away. The staff were very accommodating, our room was cleaned on our second day, transfers were easily organised and we were able to communicate easily with the hosts. Takeaway Breakfast was provided when we left for an early departure.

We got clothes washed which came back with different additional stains however when we brought this to the hosts attention she washed them again and rectified the problem without delay!

The location by the river is splendid, but as it was rainy or overcast for most of our time we could not appreciate that or the nice large pool properly. The room was large with a huge bathroom. The owners were friendly and responsive and their driver took us to Dong Hoi rail station for a good price at the end. They were expecting a new litter of puppies any day, but unfortunately this had not happened by the time we left!

Driver rates within the Phong Nha area are a little high as there are no taxis.

The staff were so helpful and kind. Breakfast was amazing. Our room was very spacious and clean. The garden was beautiful and the pool looked out onto the garden and mountain which was lovely. They helped us with our transport to ninh binh which ended being a lovely bus for a lot cheaper than what 12go asia was offering. We never got the dog’s name annoyingly, but she was such a sweet dog which is always a nice bonus.

Fabulous Homestay. Perfect location overlooking the river, peaceful and quiet yet easy walk or cycle into the centre. Lovely spacious , clean and comfortable rooms with a nice pool and good food in the small bar and restaurant area. The staff and owners were lovely and so helpful. Picked us up at 5;00 am from the bus drop off and reorganised our room booking for us at the last minute to ensure that we had somewhere to put our heads down.. communication with them before our visit was excellent and they organised a tour for us. Highly recommend Lucky Homes and would stay here again.

The best thing about Lucky Homes was the staff, they were both accommodating and friendly. The chef invited me one night to hang out and chill with him and have some beer, snacks, and rice wine, was an awesome time. The second thing I loved about Lucky Homes was how delicious the food was, I did not have to eat out at any other restaurants cause the food here was really good, and I never ate the same thing twice, the chef had a good variety of meals to suggest for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The property itself was very clean, and the room and bathroom were massive, with more than enough space, which made it super comfortable. The location was right across from the river, they have tables and chairs for you to relax and have a drink or eat while enjoying the beautiful scenery. It's not too far from the town center, maybe like a 25-minute walk, but I enjoyed the area around Lucky Homes more. They have bicycles free to use, which was fun exploring the neighborhood, and also motorbike rental, which I used to drive to Paradise Cave, highly recommended. Overall, this was one of the best trips I have taken in a while and Lucky Homes attributed a large amount of the reason why I had such a great time.

The only thing I didn't like was that there was no T.V in the room, but was not that big of a deal.
