It was a great stay. Welcoming family and comfortable rooms. It was a bit further than the town centre but it worked for us. You can use bicycles or Grab to move around, easy peasy. The breakfast was good but not over the top, it did the job. We also got picked up at the train station in Dong Hoi on time. It was super convenient and we felt welcomed from the day we arrived until the end.

Nothing to be honest. I read reviews about the homestay being far from the town centre, it wasn't a problem for us. I read some reviews about push sales for the tours, and it is not an issue either. You can either go around and visit the caves by yourself or use the tours if you want to. You can't complain about people doing their job and trying to promote their services. It didn't feel pushy for us.

We had such a lovely stay here with our two kids, who are 7 and 3. Quy and his wife were fantastic hosts—so thoughtful and kind! They really went above and beyond to help us out, even managing to find a helmet for our toddler when we realized we didn’t have one. The rooms were super clean and comfy, the pool was perfect for unwinding, and the breakfast was delicious—our kids especially loved the banana pancakes. They had a great time playing with the neighbors’ kids, which was such a sweet bonus. The location was peaceful and felt tucked away from the hustle and bustle, but it was still convenient for getting around. It genuinely felt like a home away from home, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Tropical Valley Homestay. The property is gorgeous, very peaceful and well maintained. The rooms are exactly as like on the pictures and Re very spacious. The family was very helpful and really kind. We arrived earlier in the morning than expected (around 3AM) and we did not book for that night. However, Quy the owner offred us for a little surcharge a room to stay before check in to catch up some sleep and take a shower. I definitely can recommend this homestay and if we come back to phong nha we will stay here hopefully again :)

Everything. The rooms were amazing, spacious, with beautiful tall ceilings, each with a balcony/terrace and because of the orientation/configuration of units, every space felt semi-private and not overlooked. The swimming pool is great, the gardens were luscious and the host and staff were lovely and accommodating and very helpful in terms of arranging scooters, and bus trips and so forth. In terms of location, you're no longer than 5 minutes walk from a multitude of bars and restaurants that look over the stunning river and landscape, and the national park is a very short scooter ride away. Quý and his Wife have been so nice, welcoming and helpful! He picket us up in the city for very little money. The Homestay was a little "outside" what we loved because its more quiet, but we didn't care cause we ranted a scooter at the Homestay. I think to walk to the other Cafés and restaurants it's about 20/30 min. But some minutes to walk, outside the Homestay are already little cute restaurants. BUT you actually don't need to go somewhere else for food because breakfast is included anyway and we had dinner one time, also sooo good! We stayed at one of the little houses so I just can rate them. But I loved it. Wifi was also very good.

The only thing I missed was a blow dryer for the hair, but I am shure if I had asked for one, I could have gotten one.

Quý is a very nice person and he provided us everything we need for our stay. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. The price are good, and the laundry service was very fast. Every night, Quý brought us to the restaurant and took us back.

We needed a transfer to Da Nang to take a flight to Hanoi and then back to Rome, so I asked Quý to provide us a driver for the 6 hours trip from Son Trach to Da Nang. He was kind to help us, but the designated driver (Quý' s brother), is not able to drive: he always wanted to surpass trucks but he did it too slowly, and so we risked to die 2 or 3 times because of head-on collisions, avoided just for luck. So: beware of his brother, and pretend another driver, if you ever needed someone!!.

The best stay on our so far 5 weeks in vietnam and Thailand. The main reason for the rating is the hospitality of the amazing family that owns and runs this place. Mr Qui is so helpfull with everything from tour and motor bike rent. And don't worry, he does not try to sell you something that you dont need or want. He genuinely wants to help you and make your stay as pleasant as possible. We stayed 3 nights, which we think is perfect if you want to enjoy the most famous caves and have a day or two on your own, or just enjoy the pool, which is thorougly cleaned every morning. Prize considered the room we stayed in was great. There are more scenic and central places in Phong Nah, but this one on the other hand is in a lovely quiet part of the town.

As many of the reviews say, Mr Quy is a wonderful host. he is very accommodating and helpful. the room I stayed in was very comfortable, the scooter rental was great, he was very helpful with the tour process and with helping me to get to different locations. Mr Quy was so friendly and spoke good English. The breakfast could be better (very basic) but not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. the value for the price was good. His homestay should rank higher in the algorithm... to me it is better and friendlier than some of the higher "suggested" ones that I also stayed at.

Quy’s property is beautiful, with large rooms and a restaurant. While the property is beautiful, the real star of this homestay is Quy and his hospitality. Right from booking, he messaged us to ask if we needed help with organizing activities and transport. He arranged for private car transfer to the train station, booked us a caving tour, and even offered to book bus tickets if we needed them. He was extremely welcoming and we were very grateful for his help!

We had lovely bungalow, that was clean and bright. The family were friendly and a couple of them spoke good English. They spoke to us about tours but they were not pushy, and helped us find our own way, including scooter rental. Pool was great, beds comfortable, shower was good and hot.

Breakfast options were limited, would have be nice to have a fresh fruit option, the laundry was 50k a 1kg and didn’t come back that clean and was creased. The bikes were a little old but worked well. The restaurant was limited and meant we ate out.
