Awesome location, close to the beach but not on the beach, nice staff, private parking (costs 5€/night), spacious room with nice balcony.

Room was on first floor, on the street - so kind of noisy - coffee shop that closes late right under the room, and “taxi station” across the street (when people call a taxi, it rings loudly until a taxi driver picks up the phone). Also, room cleaning done relatively late with lots of detergent made the room hard to breathe in.

Great location comfy bed & parking - although they said if you book thru booking.com you have to pay but not if direct thru their website. I’ve had issues with booking.com not being clear about parking. Anyway the lovely person on reception gave it to me free anyway.

No wifi in room and poor response to my observation - advising me it had been uplifted across hotel. There was zero reception in my room. Please note this was one manager - the rest of staff were really lovely and accommodating.

Breakfast was great! We had three people and wanted two rooms. They gave us the ideal - two rooms next to each other, meeting in a small entryway, with another door that could be locked leading to the main hallway. That way we could both keep our room doors open, and keep the main door to the hallway closed. It was a great setup for two parties. I wish more hotels could provide something like this. The balconies were large and comfortable. As was the bed and bathrooms were roomy. Loved the location - right across the street from the Mercado.

We wished that the rooftop bar had been open later.

The hotel was everything and more I expected for 130 € per night. Sofia at the front desk was incredibly helpful. She bent over backwards to make our stay pleasurable. The location is great, the breakfast is good, our partial sea room had a great balcony.

It would be better if smoking was banned on the whole property but that is not the hotel’s fault. I guess I forgot how many Europeans smoke since I haven’t been here since 2018

The room had an amazing view of the fort and the viewpoint for the massive waves! The bed was super comfortable and the bedroom was a good size

The shower was not that powerfull and there was no conditioner. They asked for swimming caps to use the swimming pool, and that prevented me from swimming

The location of the hotel was excellent & the hotel had parking, although at an extra charge which was reasonable. We found the staff to be very nice and accommodating. As for the breakfast, it was the best breakfast we had in any of the hotels we stayed in along the northern coast of Portugal. The hot lockers were well stocked with scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages which were constantly kept stocked up, and the continental breakfast offering was excellent

I have extensive hotel operating experience, and the only fault that I could find was hot/warmed plates weren't provided for the hot food. Although this is common place in every hotel we stayed in throughout europe, but in my view theres nothing worse than having to put hot food on a cold plate. And I did make this simple recommendation to reception when we were checking out.

Internet was very poor in our room. Hard to connect and kept dropping.

Very fancy hotel. Room was spacious and well kept. The balcony added a nice outdoor element and the view of the cliffs was great add-on. The breakfast buffet will fill the most demanding belly, they even had gluten-free bread for my friend! Reception was helpful at all time. The hotel is just a short walk from the beach and there are plenty of restaurants around.

The rooftop pool area was closed when we tried to have a look after breakfast (even though it was supposed to be open already), so can't comment on the pool.

The location and the room with a balcony looking at the sea were great. I felt safe. When we asked for towels or water, they brought things to our room immediately. The breakfast was good and it was included. The gentleman who tended to the breakfast room was so kind and helpful.

The rooftop pool was just ok. It had a plastic roof and walls that rattled in the wind and was a bit frightening. I only went once because it wasn’t great. The temperature of the room was hard to regulate.

Looking at the photos I was a bit dubious about the location but was pleasantly surprised, it was an excellent location, the hotel was clean, the room lovely, the breakfast was great with a good selection

My only disappointment was the balcony with some sort of generator outside and the chairs have seen better days, we had quite a bit of rain and would have been beneficial to have the balcony swept
