Breakfast was better than expected. Described as 'grab and go' but we had a leisurely breakfast. Coffee from machine pretty good. Convenient location. Liked having fridge, oven, sink, utensils and being able to wash up properly. We were just in time to buy cakes from Fitzbillies and then enjoyed going back to the room, making a decent cup of tea, and eating our cakes in comfort at a table. Two hanging areas is nice when there are two of you!

Boiled eggs would have been nice at breakfast. Location potentially noisy depending on activities of venues over the road at night. We were brave and used the oven to heat up a lasagne or similar. However, it made the room very hot and we were a bit unsure how to use the oven or what exacty what sort it was. So probably a simple microwave oven would be easier.

The Regent is a very good hotel, walking distance both from the railway station and town centre. Tea and coffee is always available in the breakfast room and you can even treat guests to this.

I love that there is cheese at breakfast, but I’d love if they went for one that tasted a bit more! My room (Classic, if I remember correctly) is fairly small with not much space to put things. And certainly not space to have dinner in. I assume that you if wanted you can have that in the breakfast room!

Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was park facing with large floor to ceiling shuttered windows, clean, well decorated and stylish. Continental breakfast was as good as it gets, if you can see your past the lack of a full English. The only gripe we had was the noise from other guests moving around the building, the wood floors in the rooms and tight communal spaces allowing access to the rooms means you can unfortunately hear even the most discreet movement. That aside I'd stay here again in a heartbeat, big thumbs up 👍

As above, unavoidable noise due to lay out. Maybe rethink the wood floors in the rooms

Fantastic central location walking distance to all main areas. Very clean property and room cleaning very good. The communal / breakfast room area was a welcome feature to grab a coffee or pastry later on as we don’t like to be up too early when on holiday. The stay was made extra special as it was my partners birthday. Thank you wouldn’t hesitate in rebooking !

City view rooms can be a little noisy if you have the windows open, so if a light sleeper book garden view. (We were just lucky as such amazing weather we opened windows).

The property was in an ideal location for the shops and corn exchange for a show. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and the staff were exceptionally friendly allowing us early check in and a great service. Our room was upstairs beside the road but was still very quiet due to the glazing and shutters. The beds were comfortable and the shower great! The small kitchen area was great for a cuppa, we were amazed to find a full fridge and oven facilities in the room. The breakfast was just perfect, help yourself to all things continental! We would definitely stay again. Thank you all at The Regent.

Nothing at all.

We booked 3 rooms/appartments for my son's graduation. My father has mobility challenges - there is a lift and staff were very helpful with luggage, the wheelchair etc. His room was next to the lift. Very convenient indeed. Continental breakfast was great and easy to access. The dining room has a lovely view over Parker's Piece. There are lots of local cafes and restaurants which was great. We could easily get around and being quite central was very helpful. Everyone had a lovely stay and a check out of 11 meant that we were not rushing in the morning we came home. Thank you for a lovely stay, we will recommend.

The rooms were not all the same size even though the prices were the same though they had the same facilities. Parking was a bit tricky as I needed to drop my father off with the luggage and the wheelchair - I'm grateful to the staff who helped with this while I needed to move the car to the multi-story. There is nothing that the staff can do about this but it's good to be aware. Some gluten free bread or pastries would have been nice as I'm gf, but there was fruit and yoghurt and some gf cereal.

Within a good walking distance from the station (even with a wheelie) and into the college areas. Nice restaurants close by. We liked the room facing the park: nice and quiet though the people in the room above us made a noise walking around at night. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast: the food was fresh, not cellophane wrapped with a sell by date four months later on.

For two days we had no hot water. And the noise of people walking around from the room above us.

Staff very very friendly and efficient and welcoming. They even lent me a charger for my iPhone. And they booked a taxi for me. The room was super clean. The hotel was very quiet, and the room, even though small, had everything necessary and a lovely view onto a park.

I could not open the window in my room. There was double glazing, and I could pull up the front window a little bit, but could not open the window and get fresh air. The main thing I did not like, and why I only gave a 8, was the breakfast. Apart from fruit, the brealkstai was not fresh. No fresh bread, no boiled egg, no fresh yoghurt. There were croissants and danish party and some tasteless white bread for toasting, and sweetened yoghurt, and various cereals. It did not beef that inviting.

Central to the heart of Cambridge. With overnight parking nearby. House keeping each day. Great to have a fridge and cooking facilities. Air conditioning very appreciated as weather was lovely and warm.

Lift wasn’t working which does happen from time to time. Wasn’t backup and running after 2 days when we left. Front door very narrow as they only opened part of the door. Other side remained shut. Quite difficult for larger people or large suitcases to squeeze through.

The location was perfect, 7 min walk from the River. Breakfast was basic ( however that is what I was expecting after reading the reviews) and they ran out of filter coffee. The room (22 Loft with balcony) was great and extremely comfortable. Parking After reading the reviews I was apprehensive and concerned about the parking, however we arrived about 3PM on a Sunday and left at 5PM the following Monday (bank holiday) and managed to park out the back (on a single yellow) for the entire time we were there and we never got a parking fine. What a bonus :-)

Although the breakfast was expectably basic I feel they could have put on a bit more and ensured that there would be plenty of filter coffee available at breakfast.
