I work as an information security consultant one of my biggest client is a prestige hospitality group. Based on my experience , I think I can say with some certainty this hotel, its staff and their service are first rate. I would highlight the service provided by Liam and Lisa, very engaging, friendly, and excellent ambassadors for the hotel and the local area. That is not to suggest other members of staff were poor, all were extremely good.

Very petty comment, the lifts didn't work on arrival, but the staff introduced an excellent work around, during our stay one lift was quickly repaired, the other remained out of order but I didn't observe any problems

This hotel is in a lovely, welcoming setting. When the weather is good you can sit outside and watch the sprinklers. The bedrooms are clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. On the whole the staff were good, a little inexperienced but were polite and tried to please, if at times the orders were confused. This is a perfect hotel for Newmarket Racecourse. And apparently the SPA is great (which I have never used).

The hotel isn't cheap but it is very attractive both inside and outside. Two things: 1. The weather was hot. Wasps outside on the veranda, the 10 tables had on average four or five wasps buzzing all of the time. I would have placed sugar bowls on the outside of these areas. 2. This hotel needs to be more sustainable, it must stop providing four small plastic bottles in the bathroom. Similar to other high quality hotels please change to use refillable products. This is the second time in two years I have mentioned this.

We liked everything! A special thanks to the staff who were ALL so nice to us and our toddler. They made us feel welcome, not an inconvenience (like some other places that don't like babies and toddlers) Our room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was nice and fresh, even though a little bit boring (not many choices, can be boring if you stay longer). The afternoon tea was also very good, recommended! Also the room service menu. They are usually quite meh, but here I actually liked it! The spa was really nice too, kids hours are very generous (some places only offer 1 hour, here you get 2x3hours). And it was really clean! Also the outside area is so nice and well kept, our crawler got to enjoy and explore the garden safely. It's quiet and peaceful to just sit there and have a tea, read etc. We loved our stay and we will return for sure!

Decor was lovely. Visiting Newmarket for a family wedding nearby. So grateful we could check-in early to relax in after our journey and get changed. Reception staff were so helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a little chaotic the next day. No tables available at 10am inside the restaurant. We were offered a private room but chose to sit just outside the main room. Nice but very chilly. We helped ourselves to buffet continental breakfast as told to do by the waiter, then a waitress came to take our order for cooked breakfast but we missed out. If we were told earlier that this was an option we would have taken it. Staff did their best at a very busy time.

The best thing about the hotel is the staff, everyone was so lovely. Eliza on front desk was friendly, a guy saw me carrying towels back to my room offered me fresh ones and brought them to us, bar staff were fantastic, same girls for breakfast were so friendly and professional. The bar area was lovely, pool and changing rooms were nice. The hotel amenities in the room were good. Breakfast options were also great basically whatever you wanted they made and it was yummy. Drinks were reasonably priced. Location and parking was good.gym was also good.

The hotel room itself was a little underwhelming and a little shabby, marks on the carpet and a few chipped tiles. The spa was looking quite old with tiles missing from the pool area. I do think the price was a little steep for what we got but we still had a lovely time.

I am not sure if the location was good as we were just passing through, but the window had a view over the horse training facilities at the back and it was nice to be able to see that. Having a pool was an added bonus. The breakfast was delicious and as it was included in the price the value for money was fantastic. The restaurant on site was great good, it was pricey but well worth it.

The pool doesn’t provide towels so you have your use your room towels, that isn’t great but they do tell you they can provide more towel if needed it’s just a minor inconvenience really.

Lovely hotel, very quiet - did not hear other guests at all during the night. Spotlessly clean rooms. Fantastic variety of food at breakfast. Great pool and leisure facilities.

Reception didn’t tell us times for breakfast - we wanted early start on Sunday but unfortunately had to wait till 8 for breakfast. Not a major issue but would have been nice to know! Pillows were uncomfortable too! Neither spoilt our stay in the slightest!

The hotel itself was very clean, extremely comfortable and the staff went above and beyond . Food was all excellent.

The pool/leisure area is a little tired and bland. Be aware that what is included in the stay is not the spa, as this wasn’t clear! The pool area has very few sunbeds so relaxing was difficult and nowhere to order drinks so not really a place to unwind, use of the spa is a separate fee and from what we heard was very expensive even just to use the pool/sauna. If i had known this in advance I probably would have booked elsewhere although I couldn’t fault the hotel. We just wanted somewhere nice to relax and unwind.

Clean, comfortable, friendly and attentive staff, good facilities, good choice of breakfast options. Great toiletries. The room has a fridge with milk and water. Great selection of teas and coffees. Plenty of storage for clothes and lots of hangers. Full length mirror in wardrobe. Comfortable writing desk. Fully secure safe in wardrobe which was easy to use.

There's very little I didn't like. Not very many, easily accessible plugs. Air conditioning made a bit of a constant gurgling noise but not serious enough to affect my sleep!

Breakfast was amazing, a fantastic variety and the hotel staff were exceptional.

The hotel room was far too hot, we turned the heating down but it was still very warm. We upgraded our room which was a beautiful room, however it did state chocolates were included, however it was a credit card sized thin bar of chocolate between two people, the hotel should not advertise chocolates if it is one small mini bar between two people. On our second evening there were a young couple vaping in the lounge bar, apparently the hotel restaurant staff had already asked them to stop which they ignored, the bar person also requested they refrain from vaping and again they ignored him. My husband had to resort to reporting this at reception whereby someone came along and requested they refrain from vaping.
