Location ideal for exploring nearby towns such as Ely and Kings Lynn and Saffron Walden on our journey home. The Elizabeth room was lovely overlooking all of the rear gardens etc Breakfast was good but more used to self serve buffet style rather than table service but understand that with only 8 rooms it is more sensible to do it as is. As always I forget to read the small print so was wandering why a picnic basket appeared on Sunday when we returned from day out, but when double checking the booking realised you close kitchens on Monday and Tuesday for obvious reasons. Dinner menu on Sunday was good and we enjoyed our meal. Staff pleasant and helpfull

We stayed in the Elizabeth room on the first floor which was beautifully furnished and very clean. This room gives you a great view over the back lawns down to the river. We were there on a Sunday & Monday evening. The restaurant/bar closes at 7:30 on Sunday & is closed completed on Monday/Tuesday so it was very quiet. If you are there when the restaurant and back patio is in use it might be a bit noisy as you are right over it.

Some attention to quality of small details. Window blind in bathroom had slats broken off. Toilet seat surface was cracked in multiple places. Breakfast hamper supplied for mornings restaurant was closed was very basic, not really worth the bother for an establishment that normally has a good quality restaurant. Amount of food supplied was not enough for 2 people for 2 days. Other pub in the village is also closed on Monday/Tuesday. On Monday/Tuesdays there were no staff to interact with - no cleaners, reception etc Owners were on site but did not really acknowledge or check on visitors.

Pretty and welcoming I liked the interiors and the separate room we ate in the bedroom was quite big and the bathroom was spotless the grounds were fun for the kids in the party

No staff around in the morning when I was trying to get transport info - the staff member I eventually found that helped me was willing to help but didn’t know much about buses or taxis etc - plus the hotel is way out of bury which I hadn’t appreciated properly and I felt stranded because I had no car

More than just a country house hotel. Staying in 'Henry' was a great surprise, though I think it might be a bit cosy for two, was perfect for one. The staff were exceptional and extremely accommodating. Would love to come back to stay for pleasure rather than business, if only to check out the cocktail bar!! Food was outstanding too and Michael (co-owner) was very welcoming to a solo traveller and very informative about the hotel and its history.

Beautiful property. Set in beautiful grounds . They have some goats you can see which was lovely. They are welcoming of dogs in one of the bars and to stay, although we did not have our dog with us this is great to know for future reference. The decor is spot on. It’s not often you go somewhere and feel so comfortable and this is definitely due to the decor and set up and not to mention ALL of the welcoming staff. The staff were welcoming from the min we arrived , providing smiles , knowledge of the area and general chit chat. This s a really wonderful hotel: restaurant and I would recommend it to anyone. Not to mention … they have fantastic prices for stays with breakfast rather than inflated prices where people would not be able to experience a stay here ! Well done guys ! What an achievement to have created such a wonderful place for people to come and be happy !

Nothing … some people may not like the squeaky doors and creaky floor boards .. but this is an old character property so this is to be expected !

Worlington Hall is an absolute gem and probably one of my favourite hotels in the U.K. A beautifully restored country house with exquisite rooms and the most welcoming staff and owners you will ever meet. Breakfast was outstanding and the general ambiance makes it hard to leave!

Be aware that the restaurant and bar are closed on a Monday and Tuesday, I applaud this decision as it benefits the hardworking staff, but it may be an inconvenience for some.guests.

Everyone was so friendly, the owners were absolutely wonderful, so welcoming. They were happy to help with anything. My parents are very elderly, I went with them to help, and all the staff were so wonderful, especially with my dad who has alzheimers so can get a little confused. I'd highly recommend it here, one of our best stays.

The staff are super helpful and kind! The grounds are lovely, and the location is quite convenient for visiting Ely if you have a car. We stayed in the Coach House, which has a kitchen.

Wifi was super slow and unreliable, sadly. The cost of a meal is high, and at breakfast, there is an extra charge for cappuccinos and so on which is, to us, quite petty at a hotel like this. Furthermore, there is a little traffic noise as it's on a busy road. Bedside lights didn't work and the toilet seat was broken but we advised reception and I am sure they will fix that!

I came for weekend wedding Breakfast and dinner here is A class ! The quality of the food really comes through and I was satisfied with my food choices each time I dined. Very professional staff and made to feel comfortable throughout my stay by those there. You can never go wrong with good customer service and manners.

I stayed in the coach house which is on the grounds but adjacent to the hotel itself. Lovely place however on check-in I found there was lots of dust in areas that shouldn't have been which caused allergies to flairs up. There seemed to be a damp issue with the wall as the paint had changed colourant started cracking.

The room was beautifully designed, super cosy and the bed was very comfortable. We stayed the night of our wedding and couldn't check in til super late - the staff were very helpful in making sure we had access to our room when we arrived (albeit much later than we had planned!). Would recommend a stay here especially for a special occasion or treat.

Nothing, it was perfect!
