This property is absolutely stunning. It’s extremely clean which I appreciated a lot. The staff were very friendly and polite and the food was tasty. I really liked the small touches in the hotel and I would recommend the hotel. Thank you for the Gin it was so nice.

Unfortunately we had a room that was in the main building .. we were woken up at 6:30am by the cars driving past. This for me was not good as I was looking forward to a nice sleep and lie in. It’s one of the reason I book a hotel to get the rest and break from work and everyday life. I also struggle to get through to the hotel I called over 10 times from 4:30pm. For 2 hours no one answered. I think phones should be manned at all times as best as possible.

You can search high and low in this country for a hotel and restaurant combination of real quality, I know, I have. Stay at the Tuddenham Mill and you will get both. From the second you arrive, everything is quality and attention to detail, designed to give the paying customer a first-class experience. The staff are wonderful, professional and extremely welcoming. The room we stayed in was lovely, clean and well-appointed with a great countryside view. Dinner in the restaurant was nothing short of superb. Fantastic food, beautifully cooked and presented. Breakfast was equally as enjoyable. Leaving you get the overwhelming feeling that you've left an establishment that is extremely well led and managed, with staff that understand that every focus should be on the customer and the experience they receive.

Anything would be petty.

The room we had chosen had a faulty bath, so we were rung beforehand to inform us of this, and were upgraded to a loft suite. Location wonderful, peaceful, quiet, and soothing radio playing as we entered our suite. Very comfortable bed, warm room with balcony. Breakfast very good and decor throughout, both inside and out, very tasteful and attractive.

We were a bit taken aback to find that the loo is open plan - no door or lock, just a small partition. This would certainly not suit a lot of people we know, and most people like their privacy. We also felt it was unhealthy, as the loo is unshielded from any part of the suite. We got round it by one of us going onto the balcony while the other used the loo, or by using the loo in reception. Not ideal. We felt this should have been made clear on the website. Food was good but some items seemed unnecessarily expensive.

When we arrived we were welcomed by all staff before we had even checked in, as they were walking by. It was a lovely atmosphere from the minute we got there to the minute we left. The room was a good size, very clean and comfortable. It was a bonus that you had the option to adjust the heating temperature for your room. Bed was comfy, no outside noise & plenty of storage. The grounds were gorgeous and I can imagine its beautiful when it snows & summertime!

The water coming from the shower reminded me of a swimming pool - I'm unsure if the chlorine content is due to the area or if this was a one off but did make my eyes sore. The roof rooms could overlook the ground floor rooms slightly as the fence panels were just that bit too low. But this is us really trying to find faults more than major issues.

Room was very attractive and bed was large and comfortable. Huge bathroom and everything worked well. We like modern rooms and bathrooms so it very much was to our taste. The whole hotel is smart and welcoming. The bar area is cosy and the dining room is upstairs with views of the river if you get a window table. Staff were universally friendly and helpful. Lots of parking and we would stay again.

The partition between our patio and next door was a bit too rustic. It made the room feel enclosed when looking out towards the meadow. I am not sure these external sitting areas should be so "private" with a high enclosed fence between the patios. The tasting menu is overpriced for what it is. Good but not memorable.

An excellent one night stay. A lovely historic building for the main area, with lovely huts to sleep in. Everything you want is in the hut, very nice touches of a small fridge stocked with water, juice, as well as the usual kettle with several teas, coffee and hot chocolate hot drinks. Hairdryer and bathrobes too. Ensuite shower, very clean, nice toiletries. We also booked in main restaurant which provided an excellent evening meal. It was pricy, but as it was fine dining, this was to be expected. All staff were very helpful and although we didn't need much, they were happy to help where required. We enjoyed a relaxed evening drink before the meal, surrounded by the rustic features of the original working mill, which added real character. Great choice of breakfast in the morning, which again was very tasty. My partner celebrated her birthday and I mentioned this at booking, and the venue provided some lovely touches regarding this. Would love to stay here again. Well worth the money.

Nothing really

Beautiful setting. Very private and tranquil with a few over the fields. Lovely staff. Unusual cabin outside of the main part of the mill, but with all the facilities of the main building and with a private patio.

We booked a mill stream pod. I hadn't realized that it was one with a hot tub . On the information on booking.com it is described as a spa bath, which I assumed was a bath. It was a very small wood fired hot tub that we didn't expect and didn't use but had to pay a higher price for.

Great location, amazing room, staff very friendly and helpful - like a home away from home and somewhere we will 100% be back to - food options were excellent, good wine list and lovely atmosphere - we ate in the Tipi which was informal but elegant, cool vibes and fun on such a nice day

Service for both drinks and food was very slow due to staff shortages on the day apparently - staff who did server were great and very apologetic but not sign of management or anyone accountable until the very end of the night - didn't spoil our stay but was frustrating given our expectations and the price we were paying

All of the staff were warm, welcoming and extremely professional and good at their jobs. We opted for an early dinner, the food was delicious and the service superb, including great recommendations from Will. The room felt amazing; spacious, beautifully laid out, a peaceful view, and with everything we could need or want, including some complimentary plum gin. The bed was wonderfully comfortable, breakfast in bed was fabulous, and the huge bath was a lovely bonus. Every member of staff was warm, friendly and fantastic, and we felt as welcome when we left as when we arrived. We will definitely return!

Absolutely nothing

We arrived late in the evening and the staff member on duty was extremely helpful, despite doing double duty as the barman! He was extremely welcoming and made us feel completely relaxed and at home. After being shown to our room we joined them in the bar for a drink and ordered our breakfast. The room was fantastic, spacious, airy and cosy all at the same time. We had a very good night sleep and the next morning breakfast was delivered to our room, cooked to perfection. Delicious food and a really relaxed start to the morning was just what we needed. We will definitely be visiting again.

That we had to leave so soon! Hopefully we will manage to fit in a longer stay next time!
