The motel's property backs up to a nice park (I don't think it's directly accessible but it's nice to have that). Each room is its own separate building or duplex. Parking spaces are right next to your building.

We didn't experience this but, had the room directly across from us been occupied, getting out of our parking space would have been a nightmare. I picked this place because I really love retro motels. But what I don't like is they're doing some remodeling here and, while they're making it nicer in their eyes, they're not staying true to its history. The furniture, fixtures, and things like the tile don't match the heritage at all and that, to me, is kind of a bummer. That's the whole reason we stay in places like this (The Blue Swallow Inn in Tucamcari, NM is the best example I've stayed at).

Owner nice enough, not all that welcoming. Room was clean with some newer upgrades.

Price was GOUGING (like all the others) due to Hwy 395 road closure for snow. Price was at almost double ($169) for the room size and motel, just ridiculous, and we resented being gouged because we were trapped and almost nothing was available. To be CLEAR: He was not alone in price gouging, they ALL were doing it, but that didn't make it okay, taking advantage of people's bad luck.7

Excellent parking, friendly check in manager and good quiet guests! I loved that the place had been freshly renovated, and the bathroom was one of the nicest I have experienced in a while. Newly installed tile shower was a super pleasant surprise. Given the limited square footage of the room it felt as clutter free as can be and was very meticulously cleaned everywhere. Good quality bedding and sheets. I slipped ponder the covers for a snooze with utter confidence! Thanks yall!

Unfortunately the room I stayed in didn’t have a microwave. Annndddd I would consider the curtains provided just a little bit insufficient for total blackout/absolute privacy. Neither of these minor quibbles at all impact my opinion of the place. Neither affected the quality of my stay.

It is a really quiet location, just enough off 395 to eliminate traffic noise, but close enough to walk to restaurants, etc. The hotel is really cute and the staff is friendly. It's all one floor, with dedicated parking spot for each unit, so if you have a bunch of junk to unload, it's easy to do so. (plenty of street parking too if you had multiple cars for some reason).

I really don't have much to complain about, I guess the room was small-ish, although more than adequate for our one night stay. We purposefully booked the smallest size room since we knew we weren't going to be spending that much time in the room (and didn't have much luggage), so it was not unexpectedly small.

I loved the room, it wasn’t a traditional hotel. More like bungalows. Older buildings but our room had been remodeled. Liked being off the Main Street area. Comfortable bed, clean all around! Would definitely stay again! One note, there is not a continental breakfast, only coffee maker in room, so do not expect that here.

Window spring that keeps the window up was broken and non functional. In the process... when that spring broke, the window fell and it broke the retaining latch off the window, too. No way to keep the window up and open and letting cool air in in the evening to cool the room off. Ad also states continental breakfast served. Yet you go inside the lobby, after they have your credit card # after a long drive, and a tiny little sign says "no breakfast". Not even a fresh brewed pot of coffee, just the poor little coffee maker and stale grinds in your room for coffee, with an inadequate amount of creamer or sugar for the whole 24 ounces of coffee, four 6 oz cups.

I liked that The window HVAC unit was heat and cool and I could set it to continuous fan while we slept to provide a nice loud white noise. I liked how you literally park right next to your room and the city park is right next-door.

I did not like the HVAC unit if it was set on heat mode and the fan would cycle on and off I wish the fan could stay running constant. luckily I brought extra blankets in the car that kept us warm while we ran just a fan overnight.

I like the setup of the motel . Little cottages with parking designated right outside of your unit rather than the typical up and down stairs in a million rows of rooms .

Couldn’t figure out the heater great but that was most likely my problem . Also the remote didn’t work easily .

Friendly staff; easy checkin. Comfortable, clean room. Great location; easily walkable to the main street with restaurants and stores but property itself is private and quiet. Ive stayed there twice now and would stay again.

Everything was great; no complaints

This was listed as a 1 star motel. I was skeptical. But it was great. Very Friendly staff. Great backyard. Newly remodeled bathroom. Nice room.

The room didn't looked unclean but I spilled something on the floor and wiped it up with a white towel which showed the floor wasn't clean. But otherwise it was clean.
