- Clean rooms and spacy bathroom with rain shower - Coffee machine and fridge in the room - Own radio in the room. Very nice touch. Never had that before in a hotel - Overall look and design of the hotel was beautiful - 24/7 reception and bar. The prices were also quite low for Vienna - Overall I had a good stay for a good price and I would definitely book again here for another stay in Vienna

- Quite loud. Closed windows can decrease noise from the road but you can still hear other customers in the next room or on the floor quite loudly, eg. When their TV was on. So maybe not for people that have extreme trouble sleeping

Only slightly out of the centre, hence an excellent price. However, tram or train outside take you to the Museum Quarter etc in 15 minutes. Transport in Vienna is reliable and regular. The staff were delightful and I liked it being a family owned hotel since 1901. The lady/ current owner greeted everyone at breakfast on Saturday morning. You don’t get that very often. Grace Kelly did not die! The owner was charming and urbane. An in-house violin and piano duet on 2 mornings was a special treat.

On arrival, I thought the tram outside would be noisy. It wasn’t as the windows are well glazed.

I stayed at the hotel for three nights. The room was spacious and comfortable, the bed fantastic. The hotel’s location is excellent – there is a tram stop right in front of the entrance, and a metro station less than a 5-minute walk away. In general, getting around Vienna by public transport is easy and fast. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel, there are a few good spots for a quick bite (for those staying without breakfast). The staff was friendly and helpful.

I booked a room with a hot tub. Upon arrival, I discovered that the room did not have a separate bathroom, only a small toilet. The hot tub was located in the room itself and, to my surprise, also served as the bath and shower. When making the reservation, I hadn’t realized that the hot tub was intended as a substitute for a shower. I mentioned this to the staff, who were very friendly and offered me the option to change rooms, but after seeing another option I decided to stay in my room.

The hotel was very cozy and clean. We really liked the hotel’s exterior and interior. The room was cleaned every day, the bed was made, and coffee capsules were left for us. The location might not be right in the city center, but thanks to Vienna’s convenient public transport, all the places we wanted to visit were easily accessible. The most memorable thing about the hotel was that, as soon as we opened the room door, we were greeted by classical music playing from the radio. It gave us the feeling that we had truly arrived in Vienna. We really, really liked it.

A lovely place. The room was very comfortable. It had a nice coffee machine with tea and coffee, which I didn't know how to use, it had a nice mini fridge, a nice radio with mozart music with also an alarm clock, the bed was very comfortable and the room also had an A/C which I didn't use. The room also had a nice desk and chair and a nice wardrobe to hang your clothes. The shower had hot and cold running water also came with a dryer. The sink and bathroom shower along with the toilet were very clean, being attached to the room. I didn't try the breakfast, but I read it was sumptuous and delicious. Maybe next time. The property was within walking distance about 25 mins away from all the main attractions in the city centre of Vienna. There was also a tram stop just outside the hotel. The train station Wein Westbanhof is about 35-40 mins walk away. From the main centre of morzinplatz by taxi its just 10 -12 mins away. The girl at the check in was very kind and sweet. She gave me a nice introduction about my room. Sorry I didnt get her name. She works nights.I reached just after 11pm and it was nice that the check in was open and I was told it is open 24 hours. The staff were wonderful. Made my stay so welcoming. Thank you. Dankeschon. Even when I was checking out, the staff wished me a pleasant journey home. Very kind and sweet. If I ever come again to Vienna, I will surely come and stay at this hotel. I will also recommend anyone I know to stay here. It's the best place in Vienna.

None. Everything was great.

The location of the hotel is so good - at the meeting point of about 4 metro/tram lines that will take you to the best parts of the city, and close by Yppenviertel and a market. They also have the best breakfast spread I've seen in this part of the world, including the famous Sacher Torte that Vienna is famous for. The amenities are spot-on for this level of hotel, and the staff were excellent and thoughtful in assisting us with our requests.

The hotel was cosy, with a very nice design, and fast and service minded staff. Very efficient silent air condition (in the summer you absolutely need that in Wienna, and many hotels don't). I booked a park view room (which is more to a backyard), but there might be traffic noise from the road and overground metro on the street-side

The desk in the room was very small (just a small triangle), not fitted for work travel. Water flooded over the bathroom floor when bathing. The location is a bit far from the city center, and the hotel is located at a big road with a lot of traffic

Location was just outside of the centre, but there were plenty of transport links - trams, buses and the U6 underground. All within walking distance. The room was very clean, spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated. There were some renovation works ongoing, but we were not disturbed at all. The breakfast was substantial, with plenty of options catering for all. Breakfast staff were fantastic - very friendly, warm and helpful. The hotel also has a well-stocked, reasonably-priced bar.

A real find! Beautiful, friendly and with an incredible breakfast. The rooms were quirky with comfortable beds and air conditioning. We loved the old building with the very cool old lift and secret garden. Very conveniently placed on the metro and tram lines. Great places to eat nearby and a nice bar in the hotel int he evening. The staff were super helpful and overall we had a wonderful stay.

Honestly we liked it all!

All the team at the Donauwalzer were brilliant, friendly courteous and always ready to help. We didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel, as we spent the majority of our time in the city however all the interactions we had with the team were extremely positive. We noticed that on Sunday morning at breakfast a live music was being played with a violinist and a pianist in attendance. While we didn't actually stay for breakfast we both thought this was such a sweet and lovely Idea.

Not much not to like. The room was comfortable however the toilet and shower were separate and the space for the toilet was very small with both having a bit of difficulty closing the door when we needed to use it.
