An exceptionally comfortable room with all we could need. All the staff were friendly,yet professional - we felt that they really wanted to make our stay the best it could be. We were particularly impressed with the housekeeping team. One day, we put the 'please make up room' sign on the door of our terrace room It blew off in the wind so that it showed 'do not disturb' When we returned, we found a carrier bag full of supplies of tea, coffee etc with a note saying that they didn't want us to run out of anything. We have never had such consideration ever before, no matter how much we paid for a room.

We thought the food in the restaurant was expensive . There are very few options for starters but service as elsewhere was still superb.

Staff all very helpful and friendly. Didn’t eat dinner at the hotel but breakfast was very good. Carrot and parsnip soup at lunchtime was delicious. Room decor lovely. Efficient fan in the room was very welcome.

Unfortunately the shower in our room leaked onto the bathroom floor which was flooded then leaked out onto the carpet. However, within 5 mins of reporting it we were given extra towels and on explaining that it was flooded, a plumber appeared within another 5 mins who used a tool to clear the drain and then mopped up all the water. We were impressed at how quickly it was sorted.

We liked everything- the reception staff were warm, friendly and professional. We loved our room, it had extra space for our luggage, for setting up the iron and tea/coffee facility trolley and two comfortable armchairs near the window. the whole hotel was beautifully presented, attention to detail with art, tasteful furnishing and comfortable furniture. We had two evening meals and breakfasts, which were delicious and beautifully presented, with abundance of fresh fruits, yogurts and cooked meals. The dining area was a delight to sit in for all meals. What can I say about the staff, except they were professional, with a very friendly warm and respectful manner.

Just perhaps more information about the parking and access for new guests. And perhaps some clearer signage for the location of the rooms, ( we found it a little challenging) and the access of the lift for the carpark area.

The facilities were lovely. Spent most time on the outside seating area with heaters and blankets, which was a nice touch. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Finding the location was easy. Checked in quickly. Room smaller than I thought but very cosy. Clean modern bathroom clean towels and bathroom items provided. On our cleaning day, I had put do not disturb sign, just that I had left the room alittle untidy wedding preparations lol. So, I did not want the staff to witness that. However, on our return, a parcel was left outside the door with the essentials if we had run out of things , which was very nice and thoughtful.

The food was ok. I wasn't a fan of the sausages, my personal taste. Food hot. My second breakfast took a while. However, staff were very apologetic. The bedding had a few marks on them, and pillows were a bit worn,again, my personal choice. The room was very warm but able to adjust the radiator and open the window.

The breakfast was good the general areas were good and clean. the outside eating area was clean and plesent.

Cosy room on second floor was a nice room BUT the bed was small (watch when booking ) the room was very warm with only a small fan which was inadequate . The main concern was that there was NO lift to the second floor in the original building and the staircase was very steep and narrow. Not good for people with large cases and the elderly and infirm. Not informed of this fact when booking and no mention of it in the description. Very disappointing.

I've been to the Beverley Arms once before, and the location is excellent , added to that the parking that is available on site. The staff are excellent. Lisa, who is on duty at breakfast, always has a smile and makes you feel great to be alive her sister Anita is part of the bar staff, she walks round taking orders clearing glasses off tables and always has a smile and a great personality to go with it. She chats to all the customers, making all feel important . One of the waitresses who works in the evening serving dinner is Isobel. What a lovely young lady again always has a smile and chat with everyone. All the staff who work there are well trained and courteous to all . We love staying there and will be going back.

I would be nit-picking trying to find something we didn't like if anything it would be the price of the drinks .

This is one of our favourite hotels. We’ve been a few times now because there’s nothing you can do dislike. The staff are warm and friendly. The rooms are very comfortable, our air con was very quiet and very cool. There are all extra little things like lovely soft towelling robes. , slippers, White Linen toiletries, a choice of biscuits teas coffee etc, coffee machine , sweets. The beds are super soft and comfy as are the pillows. The food is amazing too in the restaurant and the bar area is super chilled and the decor and ambiance in the hotel is spot on.

The Beverley Arms staff, location, room and restaurant were all brilliant. Couldn't understand why this was only a four star hotel. This was much better than most of the five star hotels we regularly stay in. The breakfast was superb - impossible to beat really. The evening meal was delicious also - complements to the chef. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The hotel is right in the centre of the wonderful town of Beverley -well worth a trip. The car park was superb also.

Nothing - we really enjoyed our trip and will recommend to friends and return again.

This hotel is perfect in every way. Customer experience dictates the feedback & ours was perfect. Staff were without exception friendly & approachable without being too familiar . The food & beverage options were first class but they are only as good as the finished product. There again the food we were served was excellent from breakfast through to evening meal: well presented and where appropriate served on a HOT plate (you would be surprised at how many perceived quality establishments serve hot food on a cold plate!) which in my opinion is of paramount importance. Our bedroom which was designed for a disabled guest, was spacious, warm & clean with a comfy bed and tasteful decor. Furthermore we enjoyed quality room products I.e. White Company toiletries & Taylors coffee bags with the option of fresh milk. Milk jiggers are my pet hate so was quietly impressed that I didn’t have to grovel for the fresh milk. One other point which has been an irritation in the past is the lack of or location of parking. Not here !! I loved the sympathetic restoration of what would have been an old coaching inn. The proximity to the town centre was ideal not that that is an essential requirement. All in all a satisfied customer. I wonder now if the rest of the hotels can boast the same high standard of hospitality. To conclude I had a career as a college lecturer in hospitality & in hotel management for over 30 years & sometimes think that if I am disappointed or dissatisfied with my accommodation, I am expecting too much. However at The Beverley Arms everything was ‘text book’ . I defy anyone to find fault in the establishment.

Nothing to dislike

The room and the hotel are so beautifully decorated, and the facilities are very good. I was able to find a car park spot at 5pm on a weekday, and even later I could see free spots. One of the EV charging spot was free, but I didn't end up bringing my EV this time. The bed was comfortable, and the room was warm. I stayed on a Wednesday night so got to appreciate the bell ringing practice from the church across the street (7:30pm to 9pm so no issues with sleeping), it was lovely. Dinner was very tasty, and there was a good selection of cooked breakfasts. I love staying in Beverley, it is such a pretty town, with lots of restaurant options if you don't fancy the hotel dinner.

The light breakfast could do with some more options, maybe some cheese and different types of bread. Very minor though, the hotel was great.
