The room and communal areas were clean, and the decor very fitting and homely. The rooms were very modern, and we were astounded by the size of the shower. The rooms contained tea, coffee, hot chocolate sachets, sugar, water, and a kettle. They also included packets of biscuits. The beds were comfy and looked brand new. The room was a very nice size for having a double and single bed inside. A smart tv was in our room, making it easy to watch subscription services, as was an area to hang clothes and storage drawers for folded items. The room was well lit with nice lampshades and reading lamps, it really was above what I expected. It's a beautiful guest house! The breakfast came as ordered and was scrumptious. The steam room and pool were available to us, but having forgotten swim shorts, we gave a miss this time around. The staff were polite and helpful. They even offered to drive us 10 minutes up the road if we couldn't get a taxi (race day). I couldn't have asked for a better stay Nicola showed us around our room and informed us of everything we needed. Nicola and staff made this experience a delight, and I will definitely be staying here again.

I couldn't find anything at all.

I can’t believe I stumbled upon booking this place. I was working in the area and I try not to stay in ‘travel lodge’ places and this was a treat. The gentleman was lovely and so accommodating. There weren’t many other guests who would want to use the pool so he put it on just for me! The room was gorgeous, huge shower, all done to a very good spec. There were nice places to eat nearby and the brekkie served at the hotel was unreal (although I was a bit too full from dinner the night before to eat it all!) hoping to go back on a none work basis with my partner. Highly recommend.

Nothing. As a woman on her own there for work I also felt very looked after and secure which I think goes a long way

Location great for what we needed. A fab little place to stay. A lovely little breakfast to start the day. I liked the pre ordering function to reduce waste... a really good idea 🙂

Although this couldn't be helped because of the heat wave perhaps a fan in the rooms could be made available to cover for such issues. There was absolutely no problem with the room or the comfort of the bed etc, it was just because the room was uncomfortably too warm that sleep was poor.

The staff at the property could not do enough for you from the time you arrive to the time you leave. On every visit they greet me by my first name, really personable. They also remember little things like small extras in the room, for me its milk, I drink a lot of coffee and they always remember this each time I have stayed with them. I would recommend this if you need a home away from home when working, equally would make an amazing getaway for couples, gorgeous surroundings.

We were greeted by a lovely friendly, helpful lady (sister-in-law of the owner, I think), who showed us around & arranged private usage of the pool for me & my daughter. The pool room was very relaxing. There was a lovely relaxing sitting room to enjoy, with an honesty bar. Breakfast was very tasty & served in the conservatory room overlooking peaceful gardens. We would've enjoyed the huge gardens more if we stayed a little longer, but we ran out of time. Our room was recently nicely refurbished with a big walk-in shower, & comfy beds. All in all, an enjoyable stay, & we would stay again.

A couple of things were missed when cleaning our bathroom - there were a few toothpaste splatters on the tiled backsplash & some dust & a hair on the vanity shelf. Small things that hopefully can be rectified for future guests. Also, alot of outside lighting was left on overnight on the main house & in the car park, all of which shone into our room, which was part of a separate building. Maybe they could be turned off after a certain time, or black out blinds fitted in the room?

The place blew me away, I wasn’t expecting anything really, just a place to lay my head before a big family event the next day.

The facilities, and the person ( a man sorry didn’t get his name) on reception that night could not have done more to make our stay, myself and my daughter both of us had a lovely night, we will stay again. Just a shame to need to be up and out of the door by 5.30am, didn’t get to experience the breakfast.

The owner was nice and helpful. My partner forgot his swimming trunks and they offered to lend one. The room and guest house is spotless. They have a pool which is wonderful. We were the only one there for the night but they graciously opened it to let us use it. There are shops nearby and places to eat, lakes nearby which activities to do. Buses available for further areas too. Parking is available. Breakfast was nice, water dispenser available.

A bit out of the way but great if you’re looking for a bit of quiet

Beautiful setting and accommodation in the Bothy, very clean, staff were lovely. Breakfast was delicious. Facilities excellent and location perfect.

We couldn’t seem to get the cool air working on the aircon system but it was only at 1am we tried when we woke very hot! I’m sure someone would have helped had we asked at a reasonably hour ☺️

Everything the staff where so friendly and helpful, the guest house was extremely clean, tidy and inviting and the rooms where out of this world really big and comfortable with an amazing bathroom. The pool area was fantastic our niece loved having a pool. This is the best place we have stayed and will 100 percent be coming again.

Nothing everything was perfect.
