The room was nice and clean, and medern, plenty of room. Lovely bathroom, gorgeous shower, hairdryer, tea and coffee in room. Plenty of choice for breakfast. I had cooked breakfast and was lovely, there was plenty of choice. Pleasant decor, throughout, and lovely staff. Car park is literally round the corner and cost £2.80 for 24hrs.

Think we had the disabled room and once we turned all lights off there was a green light on the ceiling which lit up the room. Think it related to the emergency pulls? The room was warm so we had the window open, although it only opened a fraction, but probably to stop people climbing onto roof whichthe room overlooked. There must have been about 4 fans/extractor and one would start up now and again, all night, so didn't get much sleep, definitely wasn't a quiet room. The green light was nearly above the beds, and doesn't show how bright it was on the photo.

The rooms are nice. Staff pleasant and helpful, breakfast good.

Unfortunately it did not meet our expectations in terms of cleanliness. We moved rooms and the second room was also not as clean as we expected. The manager called us after we left a complaint, unfortunately she had the wrong impression thinking we were trying to get some discount from the room rate. This was not the case, we merely wanted to point out that both rooms did not meet our expectations. She more on the defensive side instead of just admitting the fact and saying improvements will be made. This is my third time staying at this hotel and generally it is a good place to stay.

We booked to stay at Hotel Forty One very last minute. But considering this the price of the room was very reasonable, and we was not charged for our child to stay. The price of our booking included breakfast which was delicious. There was a couple of things that need to be rectified in the room, a broken plug socket near one of the bedside tables, and the bathroom floor got very wet when using the shower, but this did not affect our stay. All of the staff were extremely friendly and very accommodating with us and our 4 year old. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, and would return myself if I was in the area again.

The room was lovely, especially the bathroom and tub. Great facilities, spotless, and excellent communication from time of booking to date of arrival - a big thank you to Amy in particular. I was a little worried knowing we'd be arriving much later than the manned hours of the hotel, but needn't have worried about that as the self-check in instructions given were timely and detailed, and made it seamless for us. Good value and easy, affordable parking around the corner. Nice breakfast too and pleasant, helpful staff. Would absolutely stay at this hotel again and would recommend to others.

The bed was a little hard for me but a good size and many others would find that firm support comfortable enough. No iron in the room but that can be standard for a lot of hotels, and I'm sure had we requested it in advance there would have been one left in there for us, we just hadn't thought to ask.

Very clean room. We didn’t take a bath, but the bath tub was fitted with a TV screen, which we thought was a nice addition. Complimentary water in the room, as well as coffee and tea making facilities.

The hotel does not offer free parking, but there is a Pay and Display car park around the back. Guests are asked to check in during restaurant opening hours and the hotel is not manned outside of these hours, which meant that we had to miss a part of the wedding that we were attending nearby, in order to be able to check in.

staff were very friendly and accomodating. I have arthritis and couldnt manage my suitcase to the top floor. The chef carried it up for me. The bed was very comfy and loved the big bath.

The shower flooded vquickly in the bathroom one person needs to scoop up the water whilst the other showers. Would have been nice if the hotel opened earlier instead of 4pm. The room was beautiful but was very dusty for 300 pounds it should have been really clean .

Things done on a shoestring, eg. Wooden (bendy) sticks instead of teaspoons in room, breakfast was a bit sparse, it was OK if you like full English, no vegetarian offering, no bread or pastries, no cold selection, felt like there was quite a lot of penny pinching for the money. However the food in the evening was great.

Great location clean, modern room. Plug sockets in n the right place with a full-length mirror for doing your hair. Excellent facilities breakfast was freshly prepared and of high quality. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Definitely stay there again

Everything from staff to the rooms to the breakfast we love staying here it’s a real treat for us everything is exceptional.

Absolutely love it our bed was slightly hard in our room but that’s just personal preference for me. Everything was perfect:-) Also we had a fancy bath and we didn’t really no how to use it would it be good if there was instructions on how to use it.

Nothing. All good. However, the door access code was written on an addressed business card, so if we dropped it by accident, anyone could have access to the hotel after hours
