Friendly, helpful staff, modern clean room with all the standard amenities. A great bar and restaurant. Very good breakfasts with the option of either buffet or off the menu. In close proximity to a number of museums including the main reason for my visit, The National Civil War Museum which is well worth a visit. The city also boasts some fantastic architecture and a walk around the city provides some excellent photo opportunities.

With the location being right at one end of the main bar and restaurant strip and just diagonally across from the hospital, it can be a bit noisy at times during the night. There are also some homeless people and shady individuals loitering around the streets close to the hotel. As a solo traveller I didn’t feel safe enough to venture out at night time.

My kids really enjoyed the atmosphere, calling it a “classic” hotel. Our beds were comfortable and a good size for our family of 4. Our room was quiet, I didn’t hear much of the other guests in the halls or above us the entire stay. We walked to the beltway, along the river, and also to dinner. Sunday morning valet at 0645 was on it—they had our vehicle out within 5min!

We pulled in on a Saturday night around 1700 and valet was quite busy! There was a huge line to get in and get out. The pool was quite cloudy and cold, but it didn’t stop my children from swimming! Even though booking said this location included breakfast, there is no free breakfast. They only have a restaurant which I was not willing to pay to try. Being in a metro area, there was a lot of unhoused people around the hotel, which I forgot to expect as we walked around the area.

The staff. I was checked in by Annasimon who was amazing! She checked me in, made suggestions for dinner, and called my room about 10 minutes after I went up to make sure everything was ok. When I returned from dinner she greeted me by name and chatted with me about my day. As a solo traveler it was nice to know someone was looking out for me. She went above and beyond. The gentleman at the valet service was really kind and efficient as well. Personable. I stay in a lot of hotels but rarely have staff members who show an interest in people beyond get them in and get them out. Everyone I encountered genuinely seemed to like working with the public. That’s rather rare today. The hotel is in a great location but the people are what made it extra special.

It is showing a little wear and tear but other than that - it was perfect for work trips.

I honestly dont understand what people are looking for when checking into a hotel like this and giving it a bad review. The hotel was clean, smelled great, had comfortable beds large spacious rooms, a pool for us to enjoy, great employees, and was within walking distance to everything we wanted to see at a phenomenal price.

While the USB charging lights were convenient, they were underpowered. Small gripe. The location is next to the hospital and bus station meaning that houseless people were everywhere. You couldnt go outside without someone asking for money or a cigarette. Some shady characters were also out and about most of the time. I dont reccomend going out and walking alone. However, thats not the hotels fault.

The gift bag at check in was nice! Very nice bathroom. One of the better bathrooms I have used in any 3 star Hotel. Bed was comfy and a nice king sized bed. TV worked! Room was properly stocked with everything you need. Even had bathroom pump soap!

I wish breakfast was continental and a part of the service would make the price a little better and a better deal.

I believe the gentleman who checked me in was named Dave. Him and his manager were most kind. He upgraded me to a king city view room and comped my bottle of water. The checkout staff was very kind as well. They offered my a free drink for the road. Every staff member I encountered was very kind and accommodating. They went above and beyond at every interaction.

If I had to be picky and work to find something wrong, I would say the exterior windows are overdue for a cleaning. Not a major issue, but that's the only thing I can think of that could have possibly been better.

During check in the woman behind the desk was very friendly! The bed was very comfortable. I liked that there were large bottles of body wash, shampoo and conditioner in the shower. And during check out, even though the man at valet could not find my car … which wasn’t his fault because the people who parked it the night before wrote it down as the wrong type and color vehicle, parked it somewhere they don’t normally park cars and left the key in it … he was very helpful and apologetic.

I did not like that there was only valet parking that cost $25 and they could not find my car. There was a breakfast buffet but it was not included. There was no TV guide in the room and there was hair left all over the bathroom floor. There was a cafe bar in the lobby that had very few hours but during those hours I tried to stop at on more than one occasion and no one was working it.

Amazing staff. Located across the street from UPMC Harrisburg Pa. Our 2 month old grandson was in NICU intensive care with RSV. We stayed for days. Along with our grandsons paternal grandparents. They even allowed us to check in early. Gave our babies a cereal bowl. Did not tell our small grandchildren no about anything. They were empathetic and generous when they didn't have to be. We appreciate this hotel beyond words.

Nothing. The staff was so kind given our situation. We were there unexpectedly. The management and front staff were so empathic . So kind to our grandsons who were grieving their baby brothers hospitalization. The pool was such a great distraction too. ALL the staff was amazing. The valet was also so efficient and kind.

Friendly front desk gave good recommendations. Walking distance to train station, museums, and plenty of restaurants. The pool was warm and we had it to ourselves. I would stay again on our next overnight to harrisburg

Breakfast buffet wasn't operating on the day we were there.

Bed was very comfortable, location is excellent in downtown Harrisburg. I was busy with a conference, so I only used the room for in and out.

The room was not as quiet from noise in the hallway as I would have liked. I woke up with late guests coming to their rooms and could hear people speaking nearby.
