The room was very nice, big and clean. It had a double and a single bed and good views. The price was excellent for what you got. Breakfast was also good.

The downsides were that the remote for the TV didn’t work so it made the TV effectively useless. It’s a bit of a walk to the Petra visitor centre as well. They were supposed to offer a free shuttle but it did not run when we went (Sep 2024) due to very few guests. They don’t respond to any emails or queries before arrival. Also don’t take their tour to Wadi rum, you have to pay extra for the bus to get there and back not included and the tour provider in wadi rum they sent is to was terrible, better to go on the public bus and sort out your own camp/tour etc.

The Valentine Inn exceeded my expectations by a long shot. The room was well cleaned, the bed and pillows comfortable, the heating worked well in my private room. The dining room for this low season was indoors and heated. Guests were welcome to use it at other times as well. As the property is up the long hill from Petra the shuttle service to and from was much appreciated. However, the promised shuttle service for bus arrival pickup lacked a bus driver and I was charged 5JD instead of the going rate of 3JD. The food was delicious and plentiful as well as reasonably priced especially if paid on arrival for a discount on the evening meal. It was wonderful to have the outside Bedouin tent available to enjoy the view of Petra. if you have a car there seems to be plenty of free parking on this large property. ALL of the staff were friendly and hard working. English is spoken by most to some degree. if you are not understood, they find someone who can help you. I loved this property and if the shuttle times meet your needs, or you have a car you will enjoy your time here too. NOTE: there is no elevator on property.

Nothing really. but it should be noted that there are NO balconies in any room types. The only outside area is a shared terrace and the wonderful Bedouin tent.

I loved this place:I totally stayed 9 nights in this place, in the dormitary for 4JOD, which was really value-for-money ina place as expensive as Wadi Musa. 1.Great staff, thank you all very much. 2. Comfortable bed, hot shower in dormitary. 3. FREE transport service to Petra visitor center each morning at 7.00 and 8.00 and from Petra visitor center at 14.00 and 17.00 4. Location really quiet, no noise at all, just 5 minutes uphill from Wadi Musa central circle. 5. Nice area to sit and relax/plan/socialize 6.GREAT buffet dinner for 7JOD ( I took it many times) and also breakfast for 4JOD. These prices are really good for eating in Wadi Musa which is really expensive.

It was a little bit cold in middle December in the hours when the heating was NOT open. There are plenty of blankets to use in dormitary so not really a problem for me.

The staff are friendly and helped you out with any needs., They have good deals on excursions to Wadi rum and the place is about 20-25 mins walk to Petra. All the restaurants and stores are 10 mins walk and the place offers a fantastic dinner and breakfast service. The place overall was clean and the reception had a nice seating area where most people will come to and socialize and they also had an outside tent for chilling out.

I chose the cheapest rooms so it could be due to that, the wifi didn't work in my room, only in the reception and the water took 5 minutes to get warm (not always hot) to have a shower. The rooms were sometimes cold but again I was in the cheapest dorm which was on the bottom (basement) floor. Additionally some of the locks on the toilet doors didn't work.

Staff members. The receptionist lady defended me. I had a situation where an aggressive taxi driver from the street was trying to scam me. The receptionist of this hostel came outside and told him not to try and rip me off. She made sure I was not taken advantage of financially. She argued my case and put herself in harms way for me. She helped with how I can find the cheapest local bus to Amman. She also has very fair cheap prices on excursions to Wadi Rum as well. If you travel Wadi Rum alone, it is 40JD for a trip in there. It is the same price to book it with her, plus its better to book with her because the trip is more organised. If you go to Wadi Rum alone you can be in an empty boring camp. The public transport is unpredictable and you will be waiting hours. She arranges everything. She guarantees your transport to Wadi Rum and back or wherever. She also provides a free shuttle bus to Petra in the mornings. Petra is in the canyon below Wadi Musa at the bottom of the hill. The receptionist makes sure you don't exhaust yourself walking and protects you from the scamming rip off taxi drivers from the street. She speaks perfect English and is very welcoming and honest. I want to thank her personally for everything. The people of this hostel genuinely just want you to have a good time. Visiting Jordan a Middle Eastern country can be difficult at times. When you stay at this hostel, all your worries are taken care of and you can finally relax. The receptionist lady will make sure you are comfortable and everything is okay. Unlike most people, the people of this hostel are not interested in trying to earn your money. They prefer to earn your respect. It was so heartwarming and relieving to meet people who genuinely and honestly want you to feel good on your trip and would do everything to make sure nobody is ripping you off or scamming. The customer care is brilliant

There is nothing to dislike. It was a perfect stay. The best stay of my entire trip. The best people. The most welcoming.

Owners were very friendly and helpful. They organized a tour to Wadi Rum by good price and made a reservation for a local bus to Wadi Rum.

A little bit far from Petra but they have a shuttle twice per a day. The rooms were not very clean but for me was ok. They have hot water but you should wait for a while. No toilet paper , soap in the bathrooms. But I had everything with me. You don't have high expectations by this price.

The room was clean. The bed was comfy.

They said the bus will pick us from the Petra visitors centre at 4 pm. I called them at 3:45 and they said wait the driver will be there in 10 minutes. And when it was 4:15 I called them they said the bus will come at 5:00 pm. So we took the taxi to the hotel. But the staff was sorry and gave me free 0.50 JD woth of water bottle. The in the room the wifi was very poor and sometimes not available.

Great modern new rooms. Superb food. Super sunset view. Great Wadi Rum tour.

Note that Wadi Rum tour bought at hotel does not include transport from Wadi Musa to Wadi Rum.

Good value and pick up at 17.00 and 18.00 from the Petra entry area. Although Wadi Musa is a bit of a hike from Petra, I enjoyed its location because of the shops, bakery, restaurants around at a good price. It allowed me to see Petra at a good price. The dorm room has 2-3 showers, which was good enough for me as there weren't many guests there. Quite hospitable and accommodating people

Maybe more chargers in the room but I didn't care much. I thought the kitchen was shared but no problem since restaurants and bakeries are delicious and cheap

The staff were very friendly. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was excellent. The view from our room was great. The location was also close to the Petra Visitor's Center. Overall, a great place to stay in Petra.
