Staff and location.

Although the room had everything you needed. The rooms downstairs are small and the walls thin, so you can hear everything that happens in other rooms next door. I had to spend an extra night and paid for a double bed upstairs and this was better. There was a stool in both rooms but did not have backs on them.

Great atmosphere. Fabulous breakfast and dinner. Nice to look out over the water even in the rainy windy weather. Nice location.

Don't accept Room 7. It's a partial sea view like we requested and paid for, but 3/4 of the view out the window is the neighbor's trashy back yard, and that's not an exaggeration. We requested a room change, the staff was very accommodating and very aware of the scene of out Room 7's window. They changed us to Room 11 and that was delightful. It's unfortunate b/c the hotel is a lovely historic building and the staff is doing its best, but the neighbor is not doing them any favors!

Welcoming staff. Comfortable bed with good bedding and towels. Good choice of teas/coffee in room with biscuits. Dinner was no more than OK but the breakfast was excellent. Plenty of parking space and a great view of the Cromerty Firth.

Small sofa in the room but no wardrobe or other hanging space - seemed odd. As we were there only one night it didn't matter too much. The shower was dangerous - either cold water or scalding hot. As we were in a "family room" this could be a real hazard for any child using it. I did inform a member of the staff on leaving.

This was a pleasant inn located overlooking the Cromarty Firth..one of my favourite places! Check in was straight forward & quick. Our family room was adequate for the three of us, albeit a little on the snug side. Our double bed was comfortable. Our evening meal was excellent and my steak was superbly cooked! Service was very good, especially since the restaurant was very busy and fully booked. Breakfast was good with a good choice of hot & cold food. This overnight stay was very good value for money. We would stay here again

Our 12 year old grandson said the single bed's mattress was too hard & uncomfortable!

Very attentive staff, always thinking about the customer. Good location, and value. Staff used their initiative to help us and the kitchen staff, so we didn’t miss out on a meal due to arrival near kitchen closing time. so no one was inconvenienced. They offered to take order ahead of time for the meals and it was hot and ready for us when we arrived. Amazing service! Rooms very clean and comfortable, good powerful shower.

Walls are a bit thin, can hear others. Bar closes bit early for some traveler’s.

Excellent breakfast, even though, due to time limitations, we did not take advantage of the full Scots breakfast on offer. The staff, Niamh and the breakfast chef, were very friendly and efficient .

There was not much room to move around the bed, and a protruding sill on the windows at hip level made snuggling past painful once or twice. Bit of traffic noise at night from local hoons. A comfy lounge option to the dining tables and bar stools would have been welcome.

The staff are excellent! Karen and Rihanna were taking care of the breakfasts and the room cleaning and prep for guests and provided an excellent breakfast for my wife and I. The night staff were great when we ordered a table for 6 on the Saturday night, despite having a 50th party the same night, they were attentive and made a good night for us. The meals were very good as well. Rooms are always clean and tidy with comfortable beds, with bright white linen.

The five and a half hour drive to get there!

The room was at the rear of the hotel and whilst it was basic and lacked character, it was quiet and the bed was comfortable. The shower cubical was quite small with a high step into it, but the shower itself was good. The breakfast was plentiful and very good as was the dinner the previous evening. The location with views of the shore and promenade from the dining area added interest as it was possible to watch cruise ships and other vessels passing. It was a short walk to the town shops and facilities. Parking was not a problem. Other rooms in the hotel overlooked the shore.

The room was quite small, a double not a king size bed and there was no view or aspect at the rear of the hotel.

Started with a great dinner, the staff were fantastic, right from the discretion at booking in which we appreciated. Best freindly service we have had in Scotland to date (and we have been very happy at each place so thats a big call :) ) breakfast next morning -different staff but also lovely and freindly. Breakfast was fantastic, beautifully plated which made it even more special. Room clean, modern and warm.

The Inn was exactly what you would want in a Scottish inn, with spacious and well-appointed rooms that provided a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The beds were comfortable, and the showers had ample towels. The staff were friendly and ensured our stay was enjoyable. The on-site restaurant at Tuckers Inn was very good. The menu offered an excellent selection of dishes that were were prepared. The staff was friendly and professional, providing attentive service that elevated the overall dining experience.
