We stayed in Chateau du Bu for 3 nights, and it was a perfect experience. The chateau is beautiful, quiet, and very well-maintained. The facilities of the chateau and rooms are abundant and modern. We can even enjoy Netflix for free. The salon and dining room of the chateau were cozy, and we enjoyed the sunset there. The surroundings of the chateau are really nice; such a huge and beautiful area belongs to you. Breakfast was ordered with additional cost, but it was substantial. The chateau is 10 minutes' driving distance from a town with Carrefour and restaurants.

It will be better if there is a lift. The noise of heating is a little bit annoying.

Beautiful property in a rural location, well maintained gardens and a happy duck pond and rose garden out the back. A perfect stop over for our little road trip through Normandy. We were late arriving on a Sunday evening, despite this owner of the property was very communicative and make sure we knew how to enter the property and had everything we needed. To our delight we had been upgraded which was a very special treat the room was amazing very spacious with views of the front and back gardens. It was a very peaceful stay. We felt like we had the whole place to ourselves.

Nothing not to like

Chateau du Bu was a quiet and deluxe place to stay. We were lucky enough to benefit from an upgrade and to have the house pretty much to ourselves. There is loads of parking and the grounds are vast. We didn't have breakfast, because we needed to leave early, for the ferry. Dinner is not available, however the supermarket is close by, and we took food back and ate at the table outside. It was very peaceful, and the gardens around the house are well kept. The host was very warm and charming, offering us a drink in the bar. Robes & slippers, coffee machine and fridge, all went to make the room fantastic. Highly recommend.

All good. Maybe instructions for the electric toilet, with heated seat. Little scary!

This a beautifully- renovated chateau set in quiet countryside. We had an enormous bedroom with fabulous views of the gardens. There are lots of facilities there but not were all in use, probably because it is the beginning of the season. We were happy just to walk around the grounds. Our breakfast was wonderful, with 5 types of home-made cakes and 3 kinds of bread, we were spoilt for choice! The price was good value for such a gorgeous place and we would stay there again.

The TV screen needs attention.

The grounds and Chateau are beautiful. It is quite remote so it is very quiet but a car is a must. The closest town/restaurant is a 10 minute drive.

As this is a small facility, there was only 1 person who managed the desk. They were often difficult to find. The lobby/general rooms appeared to be unused, the majority of the guests stayed in their rooms in the evening. There was very little interaction.

A beautiful Chateau in equally beautiful location. Room was massive and very comfortable and everything finished to a high standard. Hosts were very helpful (dinner recommendations made life a lot easier) and couldn't have been more obliging. They even supplied ice for a fellow traveller who'd hurt their knee. Breakfast was immense and even with my best intentions to sample everything - not sure I did it justice. Would definitely recommend.

There was nothing not to like.

This Château is absolutely beautiful. The property itself and the surroundings are amazing. We loved everything about it and our room was just perfect. Spotlessly clean, it was a lovely size and included 2 chairs and a small table to sit at. Every little detail we really appreciated. The shower had good water pressure and the added luxury of the toilet with the heated seat and other extras was fabulous. The view from our room is one of the best we’ve had and it was so calm and peaceful. Breakfast was so good and you could have eggs too, cooked to how you wanted, if you liked. Amal we loved. What a truly lovely person she is. She is so calm and helpful. We are missing her and the Château already and we can’t wait to go back.

Nothing at all

Gorgeous castle hotel. Very spacious rooms, suitable for a family. The surrounding park and garden are very large and offer lots of activities for children and adults alike. The hotel and its staff really go the extra mile: the breakfast, for example, has freshly prepared fruit salad (many 4-5* hotels will serve defrosted fruit salad). It was one of the top stays of our holiday, while not among the most expensive.

Nothing. The hotel has no restaurant, but the owners' recommendations are very helpful. We had a good dinner in a nearby village - fine dining, including for the kids. Having one's own car is probably advisable.

This was the best place I have ever stayed. The château is absolutely stunning, with a unique atmosphere that combines history and luxury. Everything was perfectly organized, beautifully maintained, and exceeded all expectations.

There was nothing to dislike – everything was truly exceptional.

An old chateau in the countryside with everything a modern person needs! an incredibly calm and peaceful place where you feel at home in the truest sense of the word! special thanks to the girl at the reception, to my shame I forgot her name(I apologise!) She was incredibly kind, welcoming and responsive!
