This charming B&B was the perfect base for a deeply meaningful trip. My son and I came to explore WWII sites, and being here made the experience even more powerful. Each day began with a lovely light breakfast and coffee, and ended with the quiet reflection that only a peaceful, welcoming place like this can offer. Wonderful touches and all the niceities you would expect from a well managed bed and breakfast. The emotional impact of visiting the beaches, memorials, and museums was profound—and sharing it together was something we’ll never forget. Laurence and Fabienne were exceptional hosts: kind, intuitive, and quietly present. In just three days, we felt like we’d found old friends. A special place that gave heart to our journey.

What was not to like?! Our stay was one of the highlights of our trip to France. The location was ideal for our tour of Normandy, the hostesses were lovely and accommodating, the breakfast was served at a beautifully set table and scheduled each morning at a time convenient for our group. One evening our group picked up wine, cheese, bread and fruit at Aldi and enjoyed an evening together on the patio, overlooking the beautiful gardens. We highly recommend this place if you want a taste of what it's like to live in a small French village in the countryside, with the convenience of Bayeux just 5 minutes away.

There is not one negative thing we can think of to apply to our stay.

Wow what can I say . 4 nights in this fantastic Chambre De Hotes. The most comfortable and welcoming accommodation we have ever stayed in. The bed was so comfortable and huge. The breakfast was outstanding as was the garden and it's furnishings. The 2 wonderful ladies who own the property were so kind and accomadating nothing was to much trouble for them. If your looking for accommodation in the Normandy Beach areas this is a must stay.

What a fabulous stay with Laurence and Fabienne, they are wonderful hosts. We can’t thank you enough for the warm welcome we received. Your home is just perfect from the decor to the beautiful English garden. The breakfast was delicious especially the homemade jams. It is ideally located to visit Bayeux and Normandy beaches. We recommend anyone travelling on a motorbike as the parking is secure and plenty of space.

Absolutely nothing as just perfect as it is.

Our warm and delightful hosts Laurence and Fabienne have lovingly restored this village house which is set in a very large, beautiful garden .. both filled with magnificent art and sculptures done by Fabienne. The bedroom is large, light and very tastefully decorated.. beautiful linen on the bed and in the bathroom. Breakfast was delicious with home made jams, French bread and pastries, fresh fruit and yoghurt.. served at a time to suit you. We loved our stay and were very sad to leave. Highly recommend Chambre d’hôtel 1820…it is perfectly located to explore the D Day beaches and monuments and Bayeux (just over 2kms away) is also a delightful town to visit.

We didn’t want to leave!

Situated in a quiet location but within a short walk (20 minutes) of Bayeux centre, our stay in this beautiful house with exquisite gardens was an absolute treat! The hosts, Fabienne and Laurence are warm, welcoming and wonderfully attentive. Our lovely conversations with them were a special highlight! The house and gardens are exceptionally well presented with secure off-road parking and our room was tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Amazing French style breakfasts which varied daily. This included delicious homemade jams and other treats, and a lovely selection of fresh breads and pastries. Overall our stay was truly exceptional!

Going home!

We loved everything about the house! The owners are very friendly and kind with all available information regarding the surrounding. The garden is a super jewelry with lots of beautiful flowers! It has been really a pleasure have stayed two days there! Will definitely be back when have chance in future! Grazie!

We had an exceptional stay. We have stayed in a lot of BnB’s and this is our all time favorite. It is extremely clean and well maintained. The owners are absolutely delightful. We can’t give it high enough praise. We would definitely recommend it. We loved everything about it.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was very spacious, comfortable and quiet. The yard was beautiful with many flowers and trees. The hosts were very friendly. Breakfast was set at a beautiful table in front of a window that looked out into the back yard which had a lovely garden.

Breakfast was excellent, but some more protein like eggs would have been a nice addition.

Breakfast was excellent ( very French) and of very good quality with some home grown fruits. We had a lovely room which was very clean and refreshed every day Laurence and Fabieene were wonderful hosts and so nice to have a talk with every day, they made us feel like friends we have known for year's . Very large beautiful garden with plenty of areas to sit. Loved the 3 small fluffy chicken's ( Peppee and can't remember the other 2 names)
