The whole property is absolutely beautiful, stunning. Breakfast was perfect. The pool was exceptional, plenty of room to swim and plenty of room for everyone. There was a fridge in the room, perfect for snacks and drinks. Each room has a private outdoor area. Julie and all staff we spoke with were friendly, professional and very helpful. 10 mins in a taxi to the beach with plenty of decent restaurants and bars.

Not a complaint at all- all bedrooms (up and downstairs) are classed as 'with balcony' so Juli suggested to specify when booking if you want upstairs/downstairs.

This was one of the most beautiful places we ever stayed. The grounds and architecture are stunning- you feel like you are staying at a Sultan's palace. The rooms have a nice balcony area and we were able to get 3 rooms next to each for our whole family at a reasonable price. The rooms themselves are pretty simple particularly the bathroom, but each is air conditioned and comfortable. The owners were lovely, kind, and very helpful and made our stay even better. Our only complaint was that the coffee from the espresso machine was not very good, but this was made up for by the warm hearted staff and the beautiful surroundings. Also we were within 15 -45 minutes from incredible town and gorgeous beaches. I could move here forever...

We were looking for a quiet hotel for our babymoon and found this stunning place, which is ideal for couples. The main house including breakfast area and bar, an old olive mill which is now a yoga studio and the building with the rooms are all on expansive grounds within an olive grove, giving the place a magical and private feeling. Phenomenally friendly and hospitable staff. The interiors - having been described as „morbid“ by some - are indeed special, they match very well and it made the whole stay feel like we are really somewhere remote and different to home, which we very much enjoyed. The rooms are clean, large and airy (high ceilings) with large comfortable beds and a lovely terrace/balcony. The breakfast selection was amazing and plentiful: fresh fruit, rolls, pancake, croissants and pastries, a selection of granolas, spreads, cheese and ham as well as yogurt. The pool area is also lovely with plenty of lounge chairs and an infinity pool divided into two areas - the ideal place to cool down after a hot day at the Algarve coast.

Absolutely beautiful hotel with a lovely pool within the olive trees. It was peaceful and quiet and perfect for a relaxing solo trip. Breakfast was a pre-prepared selection that was really enjoyable and all staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Felt like a luxury break without the luxury price tag. I'll definitely be coming back. Also recommend the local beauty salon for a facial. A blissful hour!

Evening food in the immediate area is limited and fairly average. Although it's only €5~ in a cab to the coast where there's more choice (although very touristy).

Our stay exceeded all our expectations. Everything was perfect — from the warm hospitality, including that of the owner himself, who gave us a tour of the hotel, shared its fascinating history, and told us about the notable guests who have stayed there. The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful, and the gardens are absolutely beautiful. When we opened the door to our room, we were greeted with a stunning view of the gardens and the pool. Without a doubt, we look forward to returning.

The breakfast was excellent. Loved the way it was presented. Our room waa so different to the usual purpose-built hotels, a Moorish theme. Julie on reception was so helpful, whatever you asked. And a life-saver when I forgot my phone charger! Being r8ght on the EN125 (although you couldn't hear the traffic) made it so easy to head off to various places.

A little bar in the evening, even with just the basics, would be nice. Realise, because of the type of establishment it was, that it may not be possible. Not a 'dislike', just a comment.

I had a nice stay here! The location is awesome—super green and peaceful, yet just a 10-minute drive to the city center. Aldi (supermarket) is right across the street, which was super convenient. The room and pool were both really clean. Even with other guests around, it felt private and quiet. Perfect spot to relax!

I enjoyed my stay, but I think the breakfast could be improved. The quality of the products could be better, and I would have preferred a buffet setup. It would give guests more freedom to choose what they like according to their taste.

We didn’t want a beach location so this fit our needs. The local beach scene was very unappealing so we were happy. The reception staff was excellent and the breakfast adequate. The pool looked fine but we didn’t use it.

The property is very spacious but very bizarre as is the architecture and design. Nothing fits with anything but that wasn’t important for comfort. Hardscape downright weird with a mix of every material you can imagine. But again, a matter of taste not comfort.

Everything was great. The property was huge and the garden was gorgeous with all the olive trees. The pool was also super big and nice for a swim. Plenty of places to relax around it. Rooms were nice and comfy, bed was really big! Cute balcony too. Julie was lovely and always helpful with anything we needed. The town is just a little walk away and has a few good restaurants.

Hótel Capela das Artes is a gem! A beautiful big garden with all kinds of flowers, paths to walk, trees and flowers, lamps and fountains and a beautiful swimming pool, you can easily spend your day there.
