Very comfortable room - fabulous bed! Excellent choice of food on the menu, and friendly staff. When settling the bill in the morning I realised I'd been charged happy hour price for my drink without it even being mentioned. A very relaxed pub, obviously well used by locals as well as visitors. Used to break the journey between East Anglia and Devon - I shall certainly make sure to detour this way again.

I was lucky to get a parking space, arriving at about 5pm (probably due to quite a lot of late-lunchers) - not sure what the alternative would have been if it was full.

Where do we start. We booked a very last minute room here due to breaking down halfway back to Somerset. The staff were incredible from start to finish. They were helpful in getting us things we might need, providing us with local things to see, pens and paper for activities to pass the time, additional time in the room free of charge, somewhere to keep our things during the wait for recovery the next day. The bar staff even helped facilitate getting us a lift from an ex employee back to our van. Not to mention we had one of the best nights sleep we’ve had in ages with the big comfy bed! They went above and beyond and were so friendly and helpful. We can’t thank you enough for everything.

Absolutely blown away with the size of the bed and especially the huge shower/en suite bathroom!! The room was so welcoming and warm. Very quiet location. Situated right next to the White Hart so easily accessible for a meal or drink. The Inn is right in the centre of the village so great location for all the shops. It's also so full of character due to its age. Cannot WAIT to visit again.

Little problem with the cold tap on the deeeeep bath. Very difficult to turn it on/off. Reported it as i sadly had to check out. They were full of apologies and assured me it would be looked at ready for the next guest/s.

Rooms were spacious and well provided. A desk, fan, heater, coffee machine, kettle, water - realy everything you could ask for!.a nice large bed. Pub itself is great with different areas giving a different vibe. Small outside area which I imagine fills up during busy times but had enough seating for us when we visited. Breakfast was lovely. A great selection of cooked (not just run of the mill Full English) plus a small continental choice. Perfect location if you are visiting Bombay Sapphire Distillery. 30 min walk or there is a bus service. We found the bus very unreliable with it being over an hour late.

I was so pleasantly surprised with this room! I always assume pub rooms are going to be quite basic but honestly it was the cutest, cosiest place to stay. We stayed for location really, for the Bombay Sapphire Distillery, it's a 3 minute drive from there, SO close. HI would recommend driving. Loads of parking at the pub. Dinner at the pub was so nice too, we had the tapas and it didn't disappoint.

If you're planning on getting a taxi, they super increase the prices from here, it was going to cost £28 for a 3 minute drive from the distillery to the White Hart. But that's not an issue with the pub!

Our room in the "Stables" block was spacious and well-furnished, with a large comfy bed, sofa and chair. The ensuite shower room was well appointed and spotlessly clean. There were tea and coffee making facilities and a small fridge. Also a welcome fan in the current hot weather. Breakfast was good, with a broad range of options, and staff were friendly and helpful.

Bar prices on the upper edge of reasonable.

The White Hart is an absolute gem. Quite expensive but worth it. When we arrived we had trouble parking, even though there is a large car park at the back. It is an extremely popular place. We stayed 2 night in extreme comfort - the bed was HUGE. Overton is such a lovely quiet town with plenty of little shops and restaurants.

If I had to find fault with the room it would only we that we had a lovely table but no chair to sit at. Seemed a bit odd. Seriously, that is the only issue I can think of.

Beautiful building, lovely staff, we had breakfast, lunch and dinner and all 3 were excellent. Great menu choices. The bed was even more comfortable than my own at home. Very clean everywhere. We will definitely be back. Overton itself is very cute and so convenient for the Bombay Sapphire Distillery down the road. Loved it...thanks guys

One very small point...the extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work and consequently it's a bit damp in there (room 7).

I booked The White Hart as a birthday present for my boyfriend alongside the Bombay Sapphire Gin tour. As it was my boyfriends birthday they upgraded our room for us. We had a lovely room we a super comfy bed and great facilities. The best part was the massive bathroom with free standing bath and separate powerful shower with two shower heads. We stayed on a Sunday night and had the trio roast dinner which was delicious. We also had breakfast in the morning, a fry up and American waffles, these were also very yummy. The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. I would recommend this pub for either a meal and drinks or an overnight stay. If you are thinking of booking the gin tour I would 100% recommend this place to stay as it is walking distance from the distillery.

A lovely quirky cottage type room with a modern shower in a lovely friendly pub. Location was perfect for visiting Bombay Sapphire as only 30 min walk or 2 min bus ride that picks up from out front of pub and drops off right out front of Bombay Sapphire. The staff were all extremely welcoming and friendly. We visited for NYE and had a lovely 3 course meal followed by a fun quiz brilliantly hosted by Dan. We had the pleasure to chat to the manager Soph who was very easygoing, attentive and competent as well as her team who all worked amazingly together. It was a very busy night and everyone handled it very well with very happy customers. The following morning we had one of the best breakfasts ever, cooked by Glen. Check out was very easy too. We can’t wait to visit again.

The only flaw was no coffee pods in room but the pub staff put it right as soon as we mentioned it and were more than apologetic.
