Everything was just fine. The hotels is spacious and light with plenty of seating in the lounge area. The food was good and service was prompt and with a smile. The lady cooking breakfast was excellent and extremely accommodating.

We had a few queries concerning our restaurant bills which were wrong, but they were sorted out, so all good. The room was a good size. The only issue was that I had booked doubles and we ended up with twins, which given the length of time I booked in advanced a little disappointing but hardly a deal breaker.

The room is exactly what you would expect for this kind of hotel chain. Nothing special but everything as it should be.

The breakfast was only so-so. A lot of cooked food to choose from and the cook was really helpful bur the choice of other food, cheese, meats, etc. was rather limited and not very well presented. All of the the pastries where not baked through so I did not have those as I usually do for fear of having stomach problems afterwards. One coffee machine was out of order with unacceptable waiting time as a consequence. So, ok if you go for a full cooked breakfast, rather disappointing if you want to choose other items. Not good value for money.

The food was excellent and the reception staff were very helpful. Booking.com had not passed on our special request (they rarely do) but reception sorted that out very quickly. The aircon was superb on the very hot nights - thank you. And the bus stop at the bottom of the drive was very convenient. It saved us searching for car park spaces in the city.

There weren't enough staff on at breakfast - on the second day we had to find our own cutlery and mugs. There were queues for drinks as the machines hadn't been refilled.

This was my first solo parent trip with two kids. I felt apprehensive, but once we arrived at the hotel I felt reassured and safe. Parking is free. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. We booked a double room with a rollaway bed. The room was good sized. The double bed was comfortable, but quite hard. One of my children had a bad night because it was too hard for him, the other child slept like a log. I slept on the rollaway bed, which was not very comfortable, but I didn't mind as long as the little ones were happy and safe. We decided to eat in the restaurant downstairs in the evening. The food was delicious and the portions were big (we ordered pizza's and sticky toffee pudding and ice cream party). The restaurant staff were quite busy so we did have to wait at least 30 minutes to get their attention. Breakfast was delicious, the lady who made my fried eggs was so lovely and friendly. Good selection of hot and cold food. All in all, we had an enjoyable stay and we would definitely recommend it.

The size of the room was bigger than we expected. It was very spacious. We booked 2 rooms (1 adult + 1 small child each) but we ended up having both kids in one room with one adult, as the bed was big enough for all of us. The two rooms we requested were just opposite the hallway. I found the rooms very clean too. Breakfast was also good. We could request gluten-free bread from the chef as well.

There was only one set of towels even though we had 2 people in the room. Once I asked the staff at the front, they gave extra sets immediately though!

The staff were polite, friendly and helpful. We had a disabled member of the family with us and required a few extra items for the bathroom. Nothing was too much trouble. When he didn't make it to breakfast, they kindly put a bacon bap together for him to eat at the bar. For those of us that got to the breakfast buffet, eggs were made to order. This was much appreciated as we prefer poached eggs.

Decaff coffee from the coffee machine would have made breakfast perfect and decaff teabags in the room would have been good. The accessible toilets were non-existent at reception level so we after we had checked out and our disabled family member needed the loo, we had to take the lift to the basement and it was quite a long walk to the accessible toilets.

Super friendly staff. Clean, spacious room. Good breakfast selection, continental and cooked, with options which could be specially prepared e.g. omelette, eggs Benedict, pancakes etc. Evening meals were tasty and a fair selection. The offer of two for £39.99, at the evening meal, was great and brought the price down considerably. This deal included either starter or pudding, a selection of the main meals, plus two drinks e.g. 2 pints of lager ir cider. The main meals were quite pricey on their own at roughly £16.50. All in all, I would definitely recommend staying here.

There could be more selection of main meals, plus the options of having a few cocktails, which would have been even better.

Breakfast was really excellent- cooked breakfast was great, but also a big range of cold meats, cereals, fruit, yoghurt and drinks, and the chef at breakfast was lovely!!! All the staff were incredibly lovely throughout, I felt so looked after from the off. Parking was easy. The room was massive, as was the bed, and the bathroom was clean with a good shower. The spa was a real treat- steam room and sauna were fantastic.

Only improvement could be that the bed wasn't supremely comfy, but it was fine for the price and really this was a fantastic hotel.

Good breakfast in a spacious, airy breakfast room. Bathroom had a bath + shower - though the room was a little small.

The fact that we arrived only 10 minutes after the earliest check-in time, but were not able to have a double room. As many of the guests seemed to be single people using the hotel as stop off between jobs, we found it extremely surprising and somewhat upsetting that they could not accommodate our expressed bed choice.

Room was fairly clean, pillows were good. Breakfast was really good, and had everything you could wish for. The location was close to the centre of Winchester but far enough to not experience any noise during the night

Wish the tv was a little bigger and it would have been nice if the windows opened. We stayed for 3 nights and our room wasn’t cleaned the 2nd and 3rd day due to the hotel being busy. This wasn’t too much of an issue but it did mean that clean towels and toilet paper weren’t replaced
