We feel lucky to have found this small, beautiful camping site. The Yurt was set up perfectly for the 4 of us and so cosy with the fire. The surrounding woodland, small field and greenery create a peaceful place to retreat to either on your own or with family and friends. It’s not a place for late night parties and camping area is small but the place has lots to offer. The sustainability centre runs lots of interesting courses and you are surrounded by areas they use for those creative courses, it looks like a great place to learn about nature and it feels like a place set up and run by people who really care. They have a hostel and a B&B onsite. It has a cafe onsite too and seems to be a great place for cyclists and walkers to stop off at. The woods is also a natural burial site and it peaceful beautiful place for families to be with their loved one. I loved this place and the feeling reminded me of an elephant camp I stayed at many moons ago! The eco loo, individual (hot) showers and washing up facilities are the best I’ve come across.
Nothing, we loved it all! We are new to camping with a young family (young children not us 😝) so we have learnt about what we might need for next time. We spoke other campers and will next time take a decent cool box (for milk, marg, cheese), grill on long legs (that fold down to fit in car) next time so we can cook there. The local Chinese and Indian deliver I think and there is a shop nearby but other places are about a 30 minute round trip so if you want to hideaway then you might not want to travel. We couldn’t get kettle to work so we’d think of a plan for that next time.

Lovely location, great views, ideal for cycling. Facilities just right for what we wanted. We didn't come across any staff members, but when we needed to contact one, we did manage to see someone fairly quickly.
There were no tea towels in the kitchen on Fri eve and Saturday. Once the food waste caddy was full, there was no instructions as to where to put it after that. It was a bit annoying that a staff member came round locking doors after we had arrived. I arrived first, our doors were unlocked. I placed our keys on the shelf in our rooms awaiting the arrival of the rest of my group, then a staff member came round and locked the door to one of the rooms with the key inside. This caused frustration because although we consider ourselves to be fairly sharp of mind, we were having to double question each other to try to find out who had locked the door and no longer had the key on them.

Booked the family room and it was spacious and clean. Linen and towels were all provided, which was great as we were walking the South Downs Way and weren't carrying any extras. The towels were thick and soft and smelt lovely. The shared bathrooms were clean and spacious. There are two completely self-contained bathrooms with showers that felt very secure and private. Body wash and hand soap are provided and some members of our group use them with pleasure. Another bathroom was available with a bath but we didn't use it. We arrived later than planned but had already bought food along the way which we cooked in the kitchen that had all the equipment needed. We had as comfortable night as possible given the heat. In the morning we ate breakfast and the cafe which was very nice and set us up well for the next part of our journey. The setting is great and despite seeing quite a few cars in the car park, we didn't see anyone else except in the cafe in the morning. We enjoyed the stay in comfortable and basic accommodation and would stay again.
The walk up the hill at the end of our day was tough on the tired legs but that can't be helped as is a feature of the South Downs Way. Carrying our food on the journey was a bit of extra weight. A shop on site selling basic groceries would help or the cafe selling evening meals.

It is right on the South Downs Way so no detour. It is sustainable, green, eco, and run by the friendliest people. It’s clean (nicest smelling towels!), comfortable, and there’s access to a kitchen for making hot drinks (free). Breakfast was fab. Lovely freshly made croissants straight out the oven and the most wonderful, freshly brewed filter coffee. The chap in the kitchen was very hospitable. Shower was warm and powerful.
Everything about the property I liked, so this is not applicable. The only small thing was some late-night noise from people talking in the hallway one evening, which carried a bit more than expected. Not the property’s fault, but something to be aware of if you’re a light sleeper.

Although we'd been advised that it was self service check in, Tom on the reception desk was there to help us find our rooms and told us about all the facilities. We had a lovely en-suite room with eco friendly bathroom products. The room was clean and fresh. Bed linen and towels were good quality. The Garden Room is available to guest so we were able to make tea when we arrived. Breakfast was also served in the Garden Room and was plentiful and good quality. There was also secure bike storage with room for our 7 bikes and more.
Nothing!

Everything about my stay was top class - Lieley and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, the room was spotless, with v comfortable bed and a great shower, breakfast was perfect, there was access to drinks and biscuits throughout the day, the setting is sheer joy, the location is quiet, peaceful and relaxing.
The only reasons I have given this a 9 rather than a 10 are: >it would be helpful to have somewhere serving a simple evening meal, but I appreciate this may not be financially viable. A microwave, perhaps, though this may be against the ethos? >without email on my phone, I missed getting the access key code, as I had already left home. >perhaps a little over-priced. This was one of the most expensive places I have stayed. As I say, though, these are small points compared with all the positives.

Everything!! Comfort, safety, friendliness, accessibility So the staff, genuinely showed care, compassion, friendliness towards us, they obviously enjoyed and cared and was proud about their environment We have heard so many people on our journey who have told us what a great place it is to visit, stay and work there It is a retreat from every day life and again this is due to the ambience and the team working there. Well done!!!
Nothing, all good thanks

I liked the way the building had been refurbished using local materials. The Sustainability Centre has a very interesting programme of courses.
Unfortunately - and this is my own fault for not checking - staying here on a Monday night when finishing the North Downs Way was a bad decision, as the cafe was closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, and so was the pub where I had looked forward to having lunch the next day, while a farm cafe was closed Tuesdays to Thursdays in September and October. It was a long walk to Winchester.

Basic accommodation but all you need - very well thought through the design of everything. Great to have the dining room open 24/7 so you can help yourself to teas, coffees and cutlery if needed. Beautiful location with wildflowers and woods around. Simple breakfast provided but again all you need and well thought through - coffee/teas, fresh pastries, yoghurt and granola. Friendly and helpful staff.

I loved this place. It lived up to my expectations in terms of its 'eco' credentials and location. Furniture and fittings are all of the highest quality, spotlessly clean, and fully functional in every way. If you want room service, full english, restaurant, bar digital tv etc, this is not the place for you. But if you want quality accommodation in a beautiful nature setting with minimum environmental impact, and on the South Downs Way, you will love this place.
The bed creaked a bit.
