Breakfast was a shambles. We were offered breakfast in the room as there were not many guests staying that night. We were given a sheet to fill in the breakfast order, one sheet two guests. Although it was clearly written on the sheet that guest 2 was vegetarian and wrote what they wanted when the cooked breakfast arrived was told it was the vegetarian one, the sausages were vegetarian (the meat eater cut one to try it) but how many vegetarians eat black pudding and bacon!. Only one hot breakfast was delivered so this was sent back and a short time later, the correct hot breakfast arrived. They were good portions and nice. Milk arrived for the tea but no milk for the cereal. So mixed some muesli into the yogurt. Breakfast quality was excellent. Perhaps to save confusion with the kitchen a sheet per person would be better when ordering breakfast for the room. This was suggested both to the person who delivered the breakfasts and on checkout. Apart from the problem we experienced with the breakfast we enjoyed our stay. The WiFi connection was excellent and free. The standard room (shower no bath) was excellent, large room with a comfortable king size bed, window seat, table and two chairs plus a table and chair where the drinks facility was. There was also a safe. There were alternative pillows available too. We would stay here again

Shambles re breakfast.

The hotel is located in a very quiet area, right next to the golf club and therefore with a lot of nature around it. A beautiful scenery, nice facilities around the hotel. The rooms are spacious and in a very good and tidy condition. The bathroom is clean, provides a huge mirror and a big shower. Lots of parking spots in front of the hotel and only few minutes drive to the next bigger city. A car is definitely recommended during your stay at the hotel to reach all destinations easily. A minibar/fridge in the room would have been perfect.

The ease of finding the rooms, where the hotel isn’t massive it was quiet. Requested a different room to a superior room and this was done with no issues and I would absolutely recommend spending the extra on the superior room as this includes a bath and shower so just had more luxury to the stay. The golf course was to an extremely high standard and despite the muddy and wet ground due to the weather there was still the ability to play all 3 courses. And discount was applied for staying in the hotel when it came to green fees.

Only one bit of feedback will be to remove the gym from the website as there isn’t one at the hotel so this is misleading. Food is limited in the clubhouse but there are options available.

Peaceful, pleasant walks The room size and comfort was excellent. The breakfast was well presented, prepared and cooked properly. The service staff were friendly, attentive and cheerful. The main menu was not particularly exciting but we did have an afternoon snack . It was a simple ham & cheese toastie but we were amazed how well this was put together , cooked and presented. Really made our afternoon It pretty much summed up our stay of simple things done extremely well Every member of the team we meet was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful . Thank you to all the staff for a great stay . Simple things : ice bucket in room, self service ice machine in reception, well put together information pack in room. Good WiFi. Staff always welcoming amd pleasant. My second time in the hotel and I was very happy to return. Henry the Lab was a wonderful extra bonus before breakfast. The boy deserves a raise! Breakfast was delicious and the rooms are lovely, shower very good.

Pillow menu had me very excited but unfortunately the night receptionist did not know anything about the menu. He looked in the linen cupboard but there was nothing available in a firm pillow. I cant sleep on a soft pillow so it wasnta restful night. The mattress in my room was also very soft.

I booked a three night stay here, recently. The hotel was great, all the staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was very inviting, each morning.

On Saturday night, there was a wedding reception, so the hotel was full. On Sunday morning, breakfast in the dining room was a bit chaotic. It was very busy, with guests being told they'd have to come back in 30 mins, and HOPEFULLY there'd be a table free. If the hotel knew they were full, a few more tables could have been set. Just a small issue, which didn't affect me, but I felt sorry for the other guests who had to wait.

Serene environment and very comfortable room. The breakfast was delicous. Service is top notch. The air con in my room struggled on a hot summer night but was ok otherwise. The food at the clubhouse was nice albeit a limited menu. The huge grounds meant there was no traffic noise and it felt like a private estate. Unlimited car parking which is very secure. Countryside location is nice. Great rooms/beds/bedding. Very good Value for money.

Great golf courses, landscape and quiet hotel. The fact that the restaurant is not in the hotel’s building is a great plus as there’s no noise when guests want to rest. Staff super friendly and helpful!

Pillows too soft and the “harder” one that you can get as an extra from reception is unusable (like plastic pellets or balls in a bag). Also temperature was below zero outside and the only source of heat was the AC which couldn’t get the temperature up in the room more than 18°C.

Very modern and well appointed. Lovely large comfortable beds and loved the pillow menu Who knew organic buckwheat fill was even a thing? Loved the interior colour scheme very calming Quiet at night and slept well

the cost of breakfast was pretty eye watering To be fair we were advised that it might be cheaper in the golf club but bar but we didn't feel inclined to walk over to find out

Location was mid way between Basingstoke and Newbury Lovely quiet setting Bar staff in restaurant exceptionally friendly Room was spacious and comfortable ( was a fusty smell from bath/shower room) reported at the time so hopefully addressed since. Food was a little over cooked for my liking ( chicken burger) although my husbands gammon and eggs was to his liking.
