The room was lovely, homely, reminiscent of staying at my nannas house. Kettle with tea, coffee,milk and sugar lumps. En suite had shampoo, body wash, toothpaste, flannel and towels. Perfect if you needed somewhere to stay in an emergency. Own front door key to come and go as you like. Breakfast was perfect, Brenda listed everything available and you choose what you would like. Fresh orange juice on the table, teapot and cafetiere. Cereals, cooked food and toast, homemade jam was amazing. I will pop the photos on that i have of breakfast, please bear in mind there was a large selection but we just wanted a little as we had a 3 course wedding lunch to eat that day. Every part of the house that we saw was perfectly clean. Brenda and Edwin have a visitors book filled with amazing reviews. If you want a home from home b&b then Laurel lodge is perfect. If you want a premier inn type then it's not for you. It was so lovely to find what I would call a proper English guesthouse, the type that the English are famed for.

Well it was pretty much perfect. I would say maybe an extra toilet roll as we almost ran out that night and didnt want to disturb our hosts, but we had some in the car.

Excellent communications - had to ring to get final directions. Wonderful room , very different to the anodyne beige rooms of most chain hotels. Had an emergency delicious cheese & pickle sandwich made for me as I was starving when I arrived. Ensuite toilet and basin with good towels provided. Shower & bath separate but easy to access and shower very nice to use. Good choice of cereals and the hot breakfast was made to order (no meat for me). Nice and quiet area.

Needs special driving instructions once you're on the road as Google isn't enough - basically third property on the left after passing Stanley Way.

Location perfect for visiting local aviation sites and museums. It was raining and host offered me the use of garage for my motorcycle. Room comfortable and clean, breakfast was absolutely fantastic. I would definitely stay again when next in the Location.

Peaceful location, close walk to town. I highly recommend Laurel Lodge for parkrunners as it's a pleasant warm-up walk to Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School. Breakfasts are delicious. Brenda is an amazing host, thank you for making my stay so memorable!

The breakfast was very generous.

Serving up the hot food to the minute at the time the guest had requested Breakfast rather than when he or she was ready for it (after eating some cereal for example), meant that it could cool before the guest was actually ready for the hot plate.

Loved the location, the lodge was immaculately clean and owners were lovely. Myself and my brother came for the night on our motorbikes and were met from the offset with a smile and clear instructions about our stay. Full English breakfast was fresh and plentiful with nice ground coffee and orange juice. Set us up for the day. Short walk to the pub :)

It really felt like home from home. This was a special ‘Adventure’ for me for my hobby metal detecting and rather than choosing to camp on the site (I don’t do snails, slugs and earwigs) I chose to stay at a B&B and I’m glad I did. So comfortable and homely. God willing I will be back in 2025. Thank you Brenda

Location was lovely and quiet. Helpful owner. Comfortable room. Excellent bathroom with very good shower- essential if you are cycling. Breakfast was nicely cooked, fresh fruit on offer. Room was a good size.

Would have been nice to have continental style breakfast offered- eg croissants, fresh bread etc, especially as we are vegetarian. But maybe not much demand for this?

Requested an early check in and was accepted ☺️..... managed to check in even earlier on arrival as I rang and asked if we could leave the car on their driveway and walk in to the town..... which was perfect 😁 Nice couple.... welcomed us on arrival Lovely room and a comfy bed.... slept well. Enjoyed our breakfast..... really nice coffee. Would recommend 🤩.

Quiet location a few hundred yards out of Horncastle town centre. Off road parking and an excellent full English breakfast. Definitely recommended

My single room had an ensuite toilet and wash basin but shower and bath fascilities were shared just down the corridor if required. A dressing gown was conveniently provided.
