No breakfast provided but the host did give us a bottle of milk (& biscuits) on arrival so we could make tea & coffee. We brought our own supplies but I think there were a few teabags in the kitchen. Parking right outside the door - very convenient. Beds comfortable. Host advised us of a good place to eat locally - it was a good tip.

Because it's a quirky old building, it's a little bit cramped - mind your head as you go up & down the stairs! My cousin banged her head numerous times. I did once - not painful!

Location was spot on as my partners daughter lived literally 5 mins away and doesn't really have room for when we stay but found this little gem and definitely bigger than it looks on the pics. Owners were very helpful and had left tea, coffee, milk and biscuits on our arrival. Would definitely stay again.

Very good communication, comfy beds, quiet location, nice welcome pack, good parking, well equipped kitchen. The bedrooms were light and airy. Good location.

The only thing letting this property down was that the bath and shower curtain were not looking very fresh - very easily sorted, I am sure.

The accommodation is in a great location for exploring the town and neaeby coast. It was well appointed, comfortable, cosy, and warm. The cookies and fresh milk were a very nice and welcome touch.

Perfectly situated within 5 mins walk of the centre of Alford. Lovely countryside in all directions. The loft-type accommodation is extremely pleasant, clean and well laid out, and every effort has been made to provide almost every possible facility the visitor might need. Ideal for 2 couples or a family of 4.

A washing machine might have been nice but in such compact accommodation probably hard to squeeze in. The lack of wi-fi might be a problem for some - but on holiday it's actually very refreshing not to be gazing at computer screens!

The cottage was adorable and inviting. We fell in love with it from the moment we pulled up on the driveway. Would love to stay again. Great having a park across the road for children.

Good communication from the host about entry to property etc. The location was lovely, very quiet and peaceful. Really comfy beds.

On first impression the property looked clean but wasn't long before we saw real issues with cleanliness all through the property. Attention to detail is definitely required on the cleaning front as the problems could be easy rectified. The kettle needed descaling, the cupboard fronts needed a good wipe and lots of long hairs throughout, to name but a few.It suited our needs but would have been absolutely spot on if it would have been cleaner.

It was an usually place to stay, fully equipped and I loved the layout, ideal for a family.

There was nothing to dislike, very comfortable.

Shower water was a bit hot and cold.

Its character and decor and the bed was so, so comfortable! It was well-equipped with everything we needed. The setting was nice, too

The broken velux window handles and the unsafe stair rail on the landing that needs fixing in place.
